I always just play through normal on my first play through because it’s the intended experience idk how boltgun is but so many games are just lazy about harder difficulty increaseing health and damage.
Said some important shit in that first two minutes. As someone who likes hard games, a lot of games have dog shit hard modes. I've not played Boltgun yet, so i can't speak to that. But I'm honestly shook he beat God of War on the hardest mode. For me, that shit was doable but enemies are waaaay too spongey and battles just take so long. Gotta do what's fun for you. Fromsoft really spoiled us with organic difficulty you can't find in a lot of games
I honestly prefer the squad system of Dawn of War and Company of Heroes over the traditional ones like Red Alert and Starcraft. I actually feel like leading an army and I don't have to micro manage every individual unit
From what I understand of civvie's review, it's more of a pseudo-boomer shooter. Its closer to 2016/Eternal than to actual boomer shooters is what he said, I think.
