    Man is, just as any other animal, bound by his biology to choose such that he survives. Good and evil only matter to us as tools for surviving, not as individuals, but groups.
    Though its usefull to confound fact from fiction as it hold groups together in the form of stories. Thus we get unquestionable narratives of what helps us survive(good) and what not(evil)

      Yeah that’s my view as well. Man is animalistic by nature unless society domesticates them

    "And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, by (grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." (Eph 2:1-10)

      Going towards faith, I think this argument resonates with the idea that we are not just products of our nature or environment, but also of choices and spiritual influences that can transcend our initial conditions. Thank you for bringing up this perspective

    At least that's what I think, please explain other points of view to me!
    The child already has (positive) blocks and reservations about the good, so he wouldn't do so much harm because of his parents' upbringing. Now the standard state of a human being would be if he grew up without external influence from these concepts, like in the forest. He wouldn't grow up good or bad, he would grow up as he is, his default state, but we would judge these actions as evil.

      Even without explicit social influences, I believe the environment continues to shape human beings. Even isolated children, like in well-known cases of feral children raised by wolves, display behaviors similar to their group. Regarding a child who hasn't had social interaction, I imagine her, not having learned empathy, cooperation, altruism... Truly, upon being introduced to society, she wouldn't be seen in a good light, haha... In the end, I'm even questioning the concepts of good and evil. Good provocation, my friend!

    That rabbit hole runs deep. Had I this ring as a child, I would use it for selfish gain. I know because when I cry, I get what I want. As a young man, it isn’t so simple. Societal pressures affect me greatly. As an older man, now I know. I would use it for good. I’ve learned some of life’s lessons. More than a few of them, quite the hard way.
    That hole isn't just deep; it diverges in countless directions.

      Indeed, the more I ponder the topic, the less conclusive I feel... but what I hold as certain is that the environment greatly influences our attitudes and the way we handle situations. Given this, I constantly seek to be in environments that I believe will help me evolve and become a better person.

      @@_FollowTheWhiteRabbit Absolutely, the environment plays a significant role in shaping our attitudes and behaviors. It's crucial to be conscious of where we place ourselves, as our surroundings can either hinder or facilitate personal growth. I admire your proactive approach to seeking environments that support your evolution and journey towards becoming a better person.

    Good by nature Or bad by nature. Limitations will have you fall prey to Dualism only.
    That's my advice.

    • @_FollowTheWhiteRabbit
      @_FollowTheWhiteRabbit  Před 23 dny +1

      I agree that limiting oneself to dualism can be simplistic. Human nature is complex, and understanding it requires considering multiple perspectives and nuances
