I had a KDX 200 back in 86. Great to see a KDX competing in current day extreme enduro.

@@AdamDoesDirtbikes yes, but I think this is where you really start making time on that ..... your confidence in your riding ability shows, even after the crash you got up quickly and within a few minutes you were back at race pace! You got this!

ESPECIALLY the KDX220R! With mods, it's an AWESOME machine for hard enduro and technical trails, even versus all the modern 300's & 250's I've ridden, the 220 holds its own quite well with juat suspension mods, pipe, machined squished head, and proper jetting. I loved it so much that I bought a second 220!
KDX 200 or 220 two of the best all alround trial bike for your average rider who just wants to trial ride.
Heck yeah! I love them! It's wild to think how capable the bikes are!

Nice job 👍 I’m living in Kodiak Alaska now. I’ve been riding yz250s on knarly mountain trails. Decided to do my homework maybe buy a new bike set up for this stuff. I found a 1994 KDX200 . I think after freshening I’m gonna like it

Sometimes, I think I want a newer bike than my kdx... Then I watch your video and realize that I have a long way to go before I outgrow this bike.

What older bike would you go for?
Dang do you have an old kdx 450 two stroke motor in that frame?..thing sounds like a beast! I ride an 04 220 with mods. also have a ktm 300 its a great bike but for all around riding and reliability you can't go wrong with the kdx. I wish kawasaki would make a up to date modern-day version kdx I wouldn't hesitate to buy one. Good riding BTW 👍
It's a 98 kdx220. My exhaust got a little banged up and was leaking out of the head and making all the ruckus lol

I knocked my pipe our right before the prologue. I couldn't get it to seal up. Ended up running it with it popped out of the head. Good ear!

I'm in a bit of a quandary right now I currently race a 2020 wr250r in Hare scrambles I have the opportunity to buy a yz250x or a kdx200. I'm just a shorter guy looking for something light and easier to handle than my lead weight of a dual sport. If given the choice and saving about $1,400 on a kdx what would you run?
They are both cool bikes! The YZ will have more parts availability. Are you planning on using it for hard Enduro?
@@AdamDoesDirtbikes Hmm not a lot of hard enduro, I do hare scrambles in Texas so most of our stuff is like 3 to 4 miles of deep sugar sand whoops and then lots of rocky limestone hill climbs and some flowing hardpack. One of my buddies likes to do rock garden stuff but for the most part I do stuff that you would likely consider easy on a 8 to 10 mile loop for 40-50 mile stints. My modded WR250R still manages to find the full travel of it's suspension but it wears me out in the deep sand or whoops.

Best dirt bike ever made PERIOD if you want to go 4 stroke go xr Kawasaki and Honda ought to be banned for dropping these out of the line
