The musicians are from popular Kazakh/Russian band called A-studio. That is actually their song that was written by the leader of the group who died of heart attack. This performance of Dimash was like a tribute to him.

Yes, this song is in Russian, this concert was a benefit to Kazakh-Russian group A-studio, that sang it originally.Dimash puts all his heart and soul into singing, so many emotions that's why he makes me cry every time I listen to him.
This was at the New Wave Contest in Sochi,Russia.Dimash was invited as a guest.They included a 20 year old celebration for A-Studio.The guy at the end with white shirt,giving a standing ovation,is Igor Krutoy,the producer of the show.He also wrote songs for Lara Fabian,including The love of tired swans, where he played the piano.Kia Ora from New Zealand

By the way I have heard quite a lot of songs by this group A-studio, they are popular in Russia, but I have not recalled Sinful passion though lyrics are amazing. The song has looked like something very simple, ordinary. DIMASH has made it outstanding! This is his way-everything he touches has become gold!
Dear Nya, I forgot to ask you to react to Dimash´" Daybreak Live at Bastau concert" please ? It´s such a touching song about a cable car accident that tooks the lives of 14 tourists in China. One couple lifted their little son out of the falling cable car to safety, he was the only survivor of this tragedy, his parents died. Dimash sings this song with all his heart, I think you will like it.
I saw which song you were reacting to and said “Oh my god...she’s gonna freak out!”. Interesting comparison between this and the Show Must Go On...I don’t think anyone else has made that point! The song is originally performed by the group A’Studio, a Kazakh band based in Russia. The gentleman playing the piano in this video is from that group.

Afaf Oubarai that would be fun, but I think it’s too soon for that. We’d better suggest to Nya to react to this after a while. Such compilations ruin the best surprises that a lot of Dimash performances hold. It’s something like watching spoilers for movies, if you get what I mean... 😉

I think the ending in show must go one was headvoice. In sinful passion it was all mixed voice which is crazy to do that high. Usually a normal singer would switch to headvoice when he or she's that high. Dimash isn't normal at all lol
It's HV. He started with chest 7:52, then mix 7:55, then a short mix quickly followed immediately with HV 7:58, then the glide in HV. The run down coming from HV, mix 8:11, to chest again 8:13. The transitions, both when Dimash went up and down, were just that smooth to notice.

This song is just perfection from beginning to end.... and that breathy falsetto with the strings is one of the most perfect musical moments I've ever heard. This song would be my absolute favorite of Dimash's, except for one thing.... I award "bonus" points for original composition and this is "just a cover ". Lol. Check out his performance of Unforgettable Day on Singer 2017. Dimash wrote it when he was 19 years old. Mind blowing... and he "beats" that E7. 😉❤❤ DKIFC-USA

This song is in Russian, but the original was sung by Kazakh band A'Studio. Russian is a second language in Kazakhsyan.

The pianist of this group "a-Studio" Baigali Serkebaev wrote the music for this song. In the end, Dimash thanked Baigali for giving the youth the right direction in music. As others have already mentioned in the comments, the song is from A'Studio, who accompanies Dimash in this performance.The co-founder and original lead vocalist of A'Studio, who recorded "Sinful Passion" (in 1998) died in 2015. Another commenter mentioned that the tribal chant Dimash added to this performance is a traditional Kazakh funeral chant, and is a tribute to the original singer. I haven't been able to confirm that, but it seems likely.

This performance by Dimash took place in Sochi (the scene of the 2014 Winter Olympics). You may have noticed the man in white shirt who was the first to jump up and applaud -- at the time Dimash was drowned in flowers. The white-shirted man is Igor Krutoy, a celebrated Russian composer, whom you'll meet again when you listen to Dimash's singing "The Love of the Tired Swans." He is the composer of the "Swans" (originally composed for Lara Fabian) and the pianist accompanying Dimash's singing.

Dear Nya, I believe you would be interesting to know some news about DIMASH:
1) DIMASH will have his concert in Moscow on 22nd of March at the Kremlin Concert Hall. The tickets are still available at www.icetickets.ru. I have got one and am looking forward now to listen Sinful passion and other outstanding songs performed by him LIVE!
2) DIMASH is taking part in new contest in the US- the World Best Battle, has gone 4 rounds already and I hope to see him finally the winner as DIMASH is the World Best Voice for sure. This contest will be broadcast since February 2019.
3) DIMASH is about to release his first single album. It has been expected in December but DIMASH as a true perfectionist has decided to improve even more! It should be a masterpiece, I have heard small pieces in one video (where Terry Lin congratulated him with 2year anniversary of Him arriving to China and Xmas), it is just AWESOME .

That sound on 7:30 of your video is very hard to make for most singers. He uses the elements of "throat singing" technique that is used in some parts of middle east and Siberia Russia also Mongolia and Kazakhstan.
lana lana yes I have noticed, seems middle eastern as well, something similar to Arabic sounds as well ! But I wasn’t shocked because living in Dubai I got to hear different type of singing and vocal technique
The technique is called Tuvan(sp) throat singing. Commonly referred to in the west as overtone. There are a few singers left that have mastered this. I believe it hails from Kazakhstan, Dimash's home country.

Just amazing!! The man playing piano wrote this song. He is from A'Studio band. Which is a great band. U should Google them. They usually have a female lead singer. She is so good too.
