AshleyMichelle Having no hair and having difficulty growing it, would make people mad and discouraged. Such sentiments are understandable. Don't mock them, pity them.
Omg real facts!!! I’m a low porosity curlfriend as well and for 6months I’ve dedicated myself to a routine and my hair has changed and retained moisture a lot more now and it is thicker!!! But I don’t think my hair is thriving as much as I assume it should!!! But I will start incorporating a prepoo before washes and do regular protein treatments I haven’t had protein treatment in years I’ve been using the tea method and henna method but stopped it was time consuming so I’m gonna do the aphogee 2 step treatment!!! But thank you for all the tips and I’ll be following for more great videos like this one!!!! Thanks sis 👍🏾💁🏾♀️
YES ! Thanks so much for this. You’re def hair goals! You and I have a similar curl pattern and texture. My hair is dry as well so these were some really helpful tips! I’ve never tried to pre-poo or do a protein treatment. I just cut my hair about 2 months ago and I am trying to grow it out. I had no idea how though. I am going to try these tips and track my progress.
*I've been researching healthy hair tips trying to find the perfect ones and I'm just saying you literally saved me. I'll try these tips out and most definitely keep you updated. I love to experiment and mix my routines up. Thank you spook much. DEFINITELY SUBSCRIBED !!!! I Came From Instagram* 😂😍🤗❤🙄
Thank YOU so much for sharing and getting right to the topic - very good information!!!! SUBSCRIBED 😊 And you’re so PRETTY, easy to listen to and I Love your Accent!!!
This video is what's up! Very informative with FACTZ! I will have to start pre-pooing before every shampoo day. Thanx for sharing girl and God bless! xo
I was all about the African Pride Olive Oil leave in treatment but that has alcohol in it...I make my own leave in sprays with lavender essential oil & coconut milk
Omg. I'm so late on seeing this video. But I love the deep conditioner one. I didn't know they had a protein one as well! Where do you get it? I've only seen the DC at Target.
Okay so just yesterday I did a strand test and I thought I was high porosity this whole time but I’m low porosity. So I have all kinds of notes in my phone. I did a hot oil treatment yesterday and oh my goodness my hair felt so manageable I wanted to cry.
Lawry M. That’s true too! But genetics definitely plays a role in the rate of growth, retention and how much manipulation your hair can take before it breaks off. Proper hair care only enhances what’s you’re given to a certain extent
Larry M. Hmm...suppose you take really good care of your eye brows, facial hair, pubes, eyelashes, nose and ear hairs...will they grow to the floor? Just like these hairs, your scalp hair also has a certain growth rate and length limit. Don't let the desire of long wind blowing hair, blind you from the facts of biology. Just like the lady Symone described, genetics is key. Taking care of your scalp hair will merely allow you to discover the true phenotype of your scalp hair genes - whether that is short hair, middle or long, 1C, 4A or 10Z.
Symone Moore the speed of hair growth is genetics. Depends on how slow and fast (that's genetics) but growing hair is not genetics, because anyone can grow hair fast or slow .
+lambaderia those area that you have mentioned have limit growth ... even if women or man have genetics to grow long hair ... their armpit or pubic hair growth will be controlled by body to not exceed specific length
I use henna as my protein treatment and I personally like it better than aphogee when you make it with a aloe vera juice base. My hair ends up super strong, like individual ropes.
Brown Eyez Hines i use 100% pure henna, aloe vera juice, a few drops of peppermint oil and a little bit of apple cider vinegar and let it sit for 4 hours or overnight. Also make sure you use a moisturizing deep conditioner after, line your skin with Vaseline before-hand so it doesn't stain, and clean your tub right after. Hope that helps!
Taylor Camille thanx so much luv Have you heard of photogenic go on Facebook... look it up I ordered me a bottle I seen a lot of good reviews on it go check it out😉
Thank you thank you 🙏 u n I have the same type hair n I jus didn’t know how to handle it after it grow out so long. It’s growing but I know I can grow faster n better if I start to take care of it again.
I love the aphogee but after a few years of using it, now it doesn't do anything at all to my hair anymore. I switched to a coffee hair mask and that has been working equally as good so far

Princess Jeyanna unless you’re low porosity. Then you NEED heat or your moisture won’t penetrate
Yes, so important. If you're low porosity you must use heat by sitting under a hooded dryer or steaming your hair.
@@Princess0ftheLight she meant don’t use a blow dryer or flat iron ur hair too much
Whoever disliked this video has to be a hater with no hair cause this video helped a lot

rice water rinse or leave-in is what i use for a protein treatment
do you do it after you deep condition or directly after shampooing?
A clean scalp is very necessary for applying rice water, i'd say you should do it after shampooing
I’m doing it now😂😂
Me too, love it.
do you rinse off the rice water with water and then condition?
Your hair is so beautiful

Great tips! What do you pre poo with?
Let’s not forget genetics lol
Symone Moore not really. It has more to do with wither you take care of your hair or not. Every hair grows.
Lawry M. That’s true too! But genetics definitely plays a role in the rate of growth, retention and how much manipulation your hair can take before it breaks off. Proper hair care only enhances what’s you’re given to a certain extent

maybe I should try pre-pooing. I usually just put conditioner on my hair, esp the ends and shampoo the roots.
Prepoo video please!😊
I don't use shampoo it makes my hair so dry so I just use co wash and a deep condition 2 to 3 times a week.
Need to start
How many time should we apply it in a week
I use henna as my protein treatment and I personally like it better than aphogee when you make it with a aloe vera juice base. My hair ends up super strong, like individual ropes.
Taylor Camille Gm what are ur ingredients for your protein treatment??
Brown Eyez Hines i use 100% pure henna, aloe vera juice, a few drops of peppermint oil and a little bit of apple cider vinegar and let it sit for 4 hours or overnight. Also make sure you use a moisturizing deep conditioner after, line your skin with Vaseline before-hand so it doesn't stain, and clean your tub right after. Hope that helps!

Deona Harris what's a coffee hair mask?
Taylor sara it's a hair mask with coffee grounds in it. I mix them with honey and coconut oil. The caffeine from the coffee is supposed to strengthen your hair.
