- A 1970 Ford Torino I shot at the 2016 Kavalcade Of Kool at the Auctions America Park in Auburn IN...These fastback Torino are cool Cars from the factory.. but this one has a very cool story behind it...Car people understand that cars are not just transportation ...Troy's Dad was killed in one of these Cars....He had three...This one sat out side His Grandmothers kitchen window until She pasted....Troy's Uncle than gave him the car...He has restored it over the past several years and now isn't afraid to raise some hell in it...Just like His Dad would have....Cool Car...With a cool story....Check it out!!!...Please subscribe and visit www.ScottieDTV.com The Coolest Cars On The Web!!!

This owner was a genius , he taught his children and his grand kids . I cant believe I just witnessed that burnout .
Right on!!
That burnout was worth the price of admission 😅❤
@@johnnytorino9455 👍👍
It never got any better than 1970 for American V8s. Even the new ones that perform better have no soul.
Right on...
Ole Troy is a movie star now!! One of the best Torino guys out there.
I'm a Mopar guy but goddamn that's a bad machine. My favorite mid size Ford ever made other than the 66-67 Fairlane 427's. Always liked the 70 Mercury Cyclone too. Both the 70-71 Torino Cobra and 70 Cyclone Spoiler were mean looking cars. Sweet car man and thanks for sharing it
Your welcome...Glad you enjoyed it!!
Badges car and just beautiful
Glad You liked it!!
Cool Uncle and a Cool Snake. THK Scott!!
I agree...Glad you liked it Brother!!
I saw the torino's go down the assembly line at the Atlanta assembly plant in 1969 during model change. I was 15
My dad worked there..thanks dad ..💓💓💓
Cool!
Great Scottie... Had a 70 GT but it only had the 351 C. Beat a 70 Hemi Cuda in the 1/8th (bog city) but he got me in the 1/4
Cool..Thanks for checking this one out here!!!
The 426 Hemi's weren't the greatest low rpm performers. Engines like that and the Ford Boss 429 were designed to run at very high RPM for long distances i.e. NASCAR. Really the 440/6 was often quicker than the 426 Hemi in the 1/4 mile and the 440 ran better on the street. But the 1970-71 Hemi was actually alot more refined for street use than the earlier ones had been because of the switch from solid lifters to a hydraulic valvetrain in 1970 for emissions reasons. Many people don't know that because Chrysler kept the same Horsepower and Torque numbers as they always had for the Hemi. Plus the Hemi was an $800 plus engine option so not too many people sprung for it
I think that the Ford 429's with a C6 auto are one of the most under-rated muscle cars. I had a 1972 fastback Mustang with this drivetrain and it was a very fast car. It would put down about 15ft of rubber when it hit second gear, and that was stock from the factory
Right on...
My Dad had bought a 1970 Ford Torino GT off a used car lot back in the late 1970's, I can tell you that it was presidential blue with blue interior, missing a hood, wrecked fenders, blown 429, and he had fixed it back up.
Cool..Thanks for checking this one out here!!
The Torino is one of my favorite Fords and that is plain cool.
Mike
Right on...Glad you liked it!
Love the 70'-71' Torinos.
I like bench seats too.
Right on!
Super fly car look's way ahead of time.
I dig them to!
The 429 engine is very hard to hurt unless you ran them over 7500 rpms all the time . Great oiling system and very wide rod bearings .
Cool....Thanks for the info!
awesome Troy...your dad is smiling down on you for sure!
I agree!
Absolutely he is. I would be. What a beautiful, bad machine

I love to burn rubber but to sit in one place. There should be a law to stop that.
Smoke'em if you got 'em!!...
+ScottieDTV lol
I smell burning rubber!!!
lol..I have done my job!
@@ScottieDTV You gotta love a column shifter and bench seat on a muscle car , too. I'm being serious. Real old school.

Cool...Glad you liked this one!!
mad
Cool!
that fuel filter needs to go
Needs rear tires now
lol..Right on!
That's very common when there's a Super Cobra Jet under the hood.
After the making of this video that cobra jet torino needs new rear tires
I agree....
Cj 370 HP, SCJet 375 HP. I think Torino was the first car to use 429 SCJ.
All I know is cool!..lol
See you Scottie DTV.
enrique leon campos Right on!
That 5 HP increase from a 429 CJ Compared to a SCJ was one of the biggest jokes Ford ever did at rating HP Levels. The Super Cobra Jet was basically the Drag Race version of the Regular Cobra Jet. Going from the Hydraulic Cam to the SCJ,s Solid Lifter Cam, was way more than just a 5 HP increase, along with all the better parts, Holley Carb, and everything else that came with the Super Cobra Jet Package.
obvious line lock hey Scottie ?
Looks like it...But I don't think so.....It was the first burnout contest he had done....There where chucks on the front wheels....
ScottieDTV --wow ... well its a winner on the 1st category.
***** --cool
Nothing like rubber coating those back 1/4's for rust proofing :)
lol..Right on!
AWESOME WHIP !! Great vid, thank you for sharing :) Please forgive my ignorance, but what's the song at the end?
