I'm a 73-year-old male (not her perceived demographic) who discovered Taylor just about a year ago with her All Too Well ten-minute version. I was blown away by the incredible lyricism. Since then I've taken a whirlwind deep dive into her extensive discography. It's been an amazing journey so far. Her latest works are immensely impressive sonically and most importantly to me... lyrically. I stutter thinking about how every word she uses is completely thought out... no word wasted. Then, going backward in the deep cuts of even her earliest album, Taylor Swift, she writes so precisely, conjuring vivid pictures of the words she's penned. I get lost in the emotions she makes you feel in her songs. I highly recommend taking the Taylor trip to anyone. And speaking of trips... I'm starting a savings account today. Calling it "Taylor's Tour". Now with Midnights, I have a reason to survive another year. I need to see her live at least once in my lifetime. Hope it's next summer. I so much envy you for already having seen all of them so far.
This year is also was brightened for me with journey of TS discography. I quit listening to music after war started, but she bringed me back this joy

I happened when I listened to folklore and realized her music was so moving I was crying at "Seven" and especially "Epiphany" ( my grandpa was a D Day survivor) and Evermore is just such a masterpiece!! I loved your post. I too share the hope that I live long enough to see her live once. It's bucket list stuff for sure. When she starts touring, I'll see ya there!!

Talking about her productivity, GOD I want to know more about the team behind the scenes. Who knows the secrets? Is there a leather bound book that keeps track of all the clues she’s left? Does she have entire databases on a hard drive somewhere? Who helps orchestrate such elaborate Easter eggs, like making every item of clothing she wears and every piece of merch for sale a clue. 🤯 Does she have a fire team with incredibly strong NDA’s that can conceptualise some of this for her, or does she have to micro manage every tiny aspect of the brand Taylor Swift? Do others have creative input? Does she always do her own social media? Like???
These are the real questions!! Hahah.. And I think it's both, she must definitely micromanage some aspects of her brand but there must be also some very special and loyal team members that have been with her for forever that could definitely have earned the right to give some input. And on general, she does have a very talented team. 👏

The most impressive part is that she’s been doing this since she was really young! Most teenage singers let their management handle things like that, but Taylor has always been at the forefront of her career, she’s not only an amazing artist, but she’s a great businesswoman!

I feel like a lot of people have heard of Daylight-Midnights connections so maybe Side A (which might be tied to the voice line at the end of daylight) will be the "nightmare" and songs where she feels trapped saddened and the times she was kept up until midnight out of anxiety and such emotions, and Side B is the freeing part, the calming and accepting part. And as far as the sound goes, I also think it will be a balance of everything and I can't wait to hear it, october 21st can't come faster!!

I definitely think she’s been planning this for years so the majority of songwriting was probably done you’re right! I think there’ll be songs up to 6 years old on there, because I think she knew her next 2 albums when she released Reputation. We’ll probably never know when they were written, though.

I became fan after folklore, so this is my first time experiencing new album release from her. I'm super excited, this era is already my favorite. I think we're getting music video soon. The clip Taylor's Nation used with alarm/clock is probably the part of mv.
I just want it to be laid back with soft guitars and drums, that feelings of driving around in the middle of a big city not understanding much of why you are there, or how you got there, but knowing it's where you're meant to be. How you'll take the good and the bad and despite it being dark, and scary, the light coming through the windows in the big tall skyscrapers already feel like home. Knowing that you'll make mistakes, and might call a past lover during a drunken moment, but it doesn't matter as long as it's what your heart truly wanted at that moment. The simple feeling of midnights. The loneliness, but also the peace. The nostalgia, but also the perseverance to look forward instead of backwards. The silence, but the loud beats of your heart. The fears, but the comfort of your existence. Midnights.
I guess I really don't want any features in this album. I want it to be emotional and raw, both positively and negatively, and have her lyricism and voice be all that's there. Usually I don't mind features, but for this one I am just leaning strongly towards an all Taylor album.

when Our Song was released in 2006 I remember vividly walking around my neighborhood with my pink 2nd gen ipod blasting it and falling in love with her lyricism! Driving to visit a friend at a different college we played the brand new Speak Now album. I remember pre-ordering 1989 and loving all the polaroids that came in with the CD booklet. I completely skipped reputation era cause it was not for me at the time. The launch of Lover felt so bright, I remember being so impressed by it's nice to have a friend. Still one of my favorite swift songs of all time. ANd then, of course, folklore and evermore... Just, speechless. I eventually cicrled back to Reputation and it's now one of my favorite things to watch on netflix 😹 truly brilliant.

I have been a fan since 2008, a friend gave me Taylor's first 3 albums when I was going though a breakup, for that reason I will forever love early Taylor and my favorite album is Speak Now. I didn't followed her closely after that, but listened to those albums on repeat whenever I needed them. During the Pandemic I dove into the parts of her discography I missed. I have been sick since January and it is since then that I went from a fan to obsessed, I think I needed something to focus on that wasn't being ill. That is how I starting learning about all the easter eggs and theories and found your channel. Although I have been a fan for over a decade this will be the first "new era" I follow from the beginning and I can't wait. Thank you so much for your videos!

i started really listening to taylor´s music after red tv, but my mom has always been a fan and brought me with her to one of her reputation tour shows. So the only concert of her´s íve been at was before i was a fan. my biggest flex is having heard taylor sing style in my presence

I was a casual fan around the speak now - 1989 era. I went through a period of time where I only listened to country music so I wasn't around during her other pop albums during the reputation - lover era (although I caught the back end of the lover era). When folklore came out, I became a casual fan again but as soon as we got fearless TV, I instantly became a proper fan. So technically this is my 1st official era of Taylor (that isn't a re-recording) that I'm experiencing as an actual fan⭐

My thoughts…. Midnights because it makes a ‘ts’ at the end…. “Meet me at midnight” makes me think of Joe in a bar so maybe track 11. I think “right this minute” has meaning. This is random, but I’m so happy she put the title on the cover!!! I miss that ever since Lover, she stopped doing that. Folklore and evermore are great covers the way they are. However, I really wish she would’ve included the titles on her re-records of Fearless and Red. I like the covers, just wish they had the titles, would feel much more nostalgic.

I have always liked Taylor's music but I never noticed these Easter eggs- like there are SO many!! You really know how to notice the little details 😟 I am SO looking forward to this album because it's actually my first time feeling this excitement about Taylor's new release!! I became a fan with the red album thanks to my father when I was 10 yo and I moved away when lover came out because I didn't really like that era, but I was still checking on her sometimes. And then I came back in force during lockdown with folklore and I'm very glad about it. I just pre-ordered the jade green edition, i can't wait!!! I just looooove the look of this new era and the aesthetic around it
im convinced that midnights was the original ts8 bc as we know folklore and evermore weren’t planned, so i definitely believe its lovers sister album 🫶🏻🫶🏻

I think Midnights is going to be up there as my fave album. I think it'll be kinda fleetwood mac and folklore vibes with a bit of 1989 splashed in. And i honestly believe there will be a spicy song like dress in this one.
I'd rather it be with no collabs but i think that Taylor now has realised she loves collabing with people so i think there might be one or two features in there.
I've been a swiftie since 2009 🙌🏼 but i've never been able to go to tour so i am scared and praying that this time will be the time

okay hear me out, I think she has already recorded midnights or that it had already started during her Lover era. That would explain all the messaging in the man music video, and why lover didn't last as long as an era. The folklore and evermore albums were spontaneous and came from covid. So right after Lover, was Midnights. There was even a whole Side a, Side B theory where lover was the 'pink album and there was rumoured to be a second side which was 'blue' (or midnight blue). I do also think Midnights is a continuation of Karma or has that same genre. side A is the really hard nights and the rock punk sort of vibe Karma was supposed to be, and side B be a different pop-rock 1989 speak now vibe like u mentioned.
Just some theories but I am TOO EXCITED.
I just left my own comment about how in New Year’s Day, as on the final track on Reputation, she says “I want your midnights”. I think she already had the daylight midnight themes in mind.
The lover and midnight's parallel makes more sense after realising that lover was originally supposed to be called daylight .. soo daylight midnight .... Makes sense
