Kawagoe: A Journey Through Time | 4k | Japan 2024

Did you know that Kawagoe, known as Little Edo, is just an hour away from Tokyo and is filled with rich cultural experiences waiting to be explored?
Take a tour with me circling Saitama Prefecture's Kawagoe, nicknamed "Little Edo" retains the ambiance of the Edo period with sweets, streets and Seven Lucky Gods!
Kawagoe is where you can relive the old days of Tokyo, conveniently located only 30 min from central Tokyo
Visited also the famous Hirakawa Shrine.
Visitors who would like to explore Kawagoe's Little Edo can take a 25-minute walk from Kawagoe Station. Alternatively, they can take the Koedo Kawagoe Loop Bus from the station that travels to the district as well as other attractions in the city, and get off at Ichibangai (一番街) bus stop.
Also in the video, is the famous Hirakawa Shrine "Jinja"
The Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine is said to be approximately 1500 years old and is where five deities are enshrined: Susanoo no Mikoto, Kushinadahime no Mikoto, Ashinazuchi no Mikoto, Tenazuchi no Mikoto, and Oonamuchi no Mikoto.
With two sets of deities that are regarded as married couples, the shrine has been historically worshiped for "matrimonial happiness", "happiness in the family" and the "deity of matchmaking".
