How to Work with Doberman Breeders on Health Testing (Puppy Corner #1)

Working with Doberman puppy breeders when it comes to health tests can be a confusing thing! In this very first episode of "Puppy Corner" here at Doberman Planet, we're going to talk all about that, and yes, get a little technical along the way (we'll be doing that a lot in this series). We'll go over the different types of testing that might be done by your breeder, show you example health reports and certifications, and even reveal an exciting new method of breeding that has the potential to help make the Doberman breed as a whole much healthier, called Estimated Breeding Values (or EBV's). Using EBV's to select mating pairs of dogs holds exciting promise for reducing Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM) and many other health problems from the Doberman line.
