Couldn't agree more. I've also tried almost every 3x3 MoYu released this year and the V5 ball core version is my favourite. After I switched maglev with springs it became instantly my new OH main. For two handed I still use the V9 special edition but might also switch to the V5.
How does springs compare to maglev in this puzzle I was thinking about putting springs in my bc?
@@SlurpMobile I'm not a big fan of maglev in general, imo it only makes sense in slower cubes like the YS3M. I like my cubes controllable and a little bit slower and springs make setting up the cube to my liking easier without dumping a ton of lube in it because maglev make already fast cubes even faster. And I also think springs make the cube feel nicer but maybe I'm just more used to them.
What are your spring compression?

Hi just wanna say thank you for making me stay with the cube. Out of the box I thought the cube was trash never seen any cube that soo tight and blocky but with setup and lube its so much better now. I almost sold it last year but watching your video gave me the patience to setup the cube and yeah I would say it's definitely worth it, maybe even better than the Tornado V3. Wish you all the best in New Year, and your channel is really good why only until that RS3M V5 video did I find you so underrated

Amazing review, YS3M Ball-Core also has that same thing of being able to accept every type of lube and keep being good, is stable, fast, good for light and agressive turners, don't overshoots, undershoots, Moyu kinda copy that versatility and improve that for a budget RS3M.
Are the magnets of the v5 comparable to the ones of the ys3m? Probably wont buy the cube if the magnets are too light.

If you like strong magnets, you can keep using the YS3M, buy a WRM V9, or a Tornado V3 Flagship, both have really strong magnets, i don't know how RS3M compares to it because i don't have it, but, probably will be like a slightly better YS3M.
@@abelvannieuwenhove2620I prefer the ys3m over rs3m v5, I'd say the magnets are a bit stronger on the rs3m v5, but keep in mind the turn feel of the rs3m v5 is different from the ys3m, I much prefer the ys3m turn feel over the rs3m v5, the rs3m v5 feels too loose, even though it's on roughly the same screw depth.
for me, preference goes to ys3m.
I'd say they're different feel for sure, so if you want a ys3m with stronger magnets, the rs3m v5 isn't it imo. I'd reccomend trying it in a comp to see if you like it though, just to be safe.
or just order it, it's not my money.
@@SophiaLiechtensteinI have tv3, ys3m and rs3m v5, rs3m v5 magnets are stronger, but I prefer the turn feel on the ys3m and I feel like I can turn faster on it, it's my main.

for me i dont like very stable cubes, even though i have this cube, i chose the guhong pro standard over it, but that doesnt mean its bad, i like tighter, lighter and a little more on the unstable side cubes, $24 for maglev, uv and a ballcore is frickin insane, get it(its still my oh main)

Will you be trying the new Dayan Guhong Pro in the future? I’ve heard that the Maglev version is actually slightly slower than the spring tension version, meaning more controllable.

Even if the V9 SE is more controllable, I'd still prefer the crunchier feel of the V5
the rs3m v5 is my main and i can tell that it’s really good cube and. it’s price 😊
I like the RS3M V5 ball core better than my GAN 12 maglev. The GAN 12 has much more catching for me.

How do you think this cube compares to the YS3M for blind? I've always thought that cruchier cubes feel worse for edge comms but better for corner comms, but I would like to try the v5 since it appears to be good for almost everything else.
The V5 is a little faster than the YS3M which is nice, but the slices are a little bit locky and removing the logo would be extremely difficult - the YS3M is still better for blind.
Does maglev better or should i get the ballcore?

I personally main the ys3m, it has good performance and I prefer 55mm cubes most, and for the rest I think it's the perfect amount of blocky(its about as blocky as the rs3m 2020, which is my favorite feeling cube), I personally don't really like the wrm v9 is that's why I don't use it. I use the non uv one cuz uv on ys3m is too much of a price step to be worth it to me.
3 Months later, do you stil suggest to buy this cube? I have a 2020 RS3M right now but idk if I should get the RS3M V5 Ballcore or get something like a GAN cube. I would appreciate some advice

I just bought the tornado v3 flagship, and I'm considering buying this one for oh and as a warmup cube, and who knows, i may end up liking this one better haha how do you think it compares to the tornado?
They have pretty different feels. The tornado is smoother and more controllable, whereas the V5 is crunchier and lighter. They're both good cubes, I just prefer the V5.

The v9 20mag is the better cube. The v9 ball-core is still the better cube. Some people prefer the Tornado but objectively speaking the v9 is better than the tornado. The reason rs3m v5 is such a good cube is because of how cheap it is and how close if not the same to performance it is to the other cubes. Honestly you can't go wrong with any of these 3 as many people swear by one of these. It's all about the feel and personal preference in the end.
as somebody whose only 3x3 over $10 is this cube I see this as an absolute win. The only problem is that it can't be used for blind 😭

So, can anyone agree with me, the WRM V9 does basically the same thing as the Super Wielong, and its half the price. I refuse to buy the Super wielong.
Absolutely. MoYu literally beat GAN with highest price, and the GAN 14 has more in it than the Super Weilong. So yeah WRM v9 is a great cube, I just wish MoYu made another cube with adjustable magnets, since they made the WRM 2021 with them, and then removed them in the v9, which was more expensive.
Not to be mean to MoYu but its dumb that they had all of the extra packaging, which made it more expensive for no reason when people like me want to but the cube but don't want to pay 90 dollars. I have the GAN 12 UI that costed $120 dollars. Its a smart cube. The 90 dollar MoYu cube is not.@@Reaktron88
