- On July 4th, 2004 Greece shockingly won their first Euro title. The Danforth, also known as Greektown, erupted in celebration. We met up with a few locals to learn what that special day meant to them. And while some of the traditional Greek establishments are no longer around, we visited a couple legendary spots that still remain.

2004 was the best year for Greece !
One month after Euro, we hosted the Olympic Games.
I was 10 years old, we were on vacation in Zakynthos.
I will NEVER forget that night !
It's one of the best memories of my life !
I was so little, but I remember everything.
Is Greece still trying to pay off the debt for the Olympic games?
What a day that was 😊 2004 the year of Greeks, Europians football champs , won Eurovision song contest with Paparizou and we all enjoy the best Olympics ever organised in country where born - begin 🎉🎉🎉

I remember the 2004 final as if it were yesterday. It was not so pleasant for me as a Portugal fan but Greece deserved it. Now we both are Euro Champs 20 years later.
Great memories greece, but lets not live in the past. We've done nothing since,and we seem to get smashed all the time and not qualify for anything.Anyway, they were great memories.
Our basketball team is superb, though.

I gather the doctor in the video is wearing the scrubs because he has no patients. A proper responsible MD would not be wearing scrubs outside a hospital or office setting especially in a public space like a restaurant where germs can spread easily…

They had strong teams until 2013-14. A good 10 year run.
