Idk why but im so interested in these vegan food choices and im not even vegan. I have been binge watching vegan youtubers, because the stuff actually looks good!

I used to work for a vegan cheese company called Vtopian. They are a small (but growing!!!) Portland company and the cheeses are amazing! You can find them across the US, but they aren't as widely available as Miyoko's or Daiya... Yet! Some yummy favorites: Caramelized Onion Camembert, Peppercorn Brie, Chive & Dill, Roasted Red Pepper & Olive, and Spicy Cheddar, among others. Definitely seek them out in your area.

That aside, I'm a *_really big_* fan of Sheese brand vegan cheese. It's amazing - until I'd tried it, I'd forgotten what... well - you know...

Have y'all tried "Follow Your Heart"? I'll be honest, I found their products to be the most cheese-like. Their smoked gouda melted into a quesadilla is AMAZING.

I use that daiya cheddar in my broccoli and cheese and it’s amazing. The block is much better than the bag that comes pre shredded!

Y’all missed out not trying the Follow Your Heart slices or Parmesan shreds. It’s the best! Not necessarily a “cheese plate” cheese, though.

The jalapeño havarti is one I order every now and again. Love! The daiya cheddar block has been a fave for a while and it’s available at my Kroger. I have used it many times as Mac and cheese, grilled cheese and grated into vegan chili. For vegan sandwiches, tofurky nails it! I haven’t gotten a tofurky variety I haven’t liked. Salami isn’t a thing that I ate when I ate meat, so I have never tried veggie salami xo Davita

I did hear kalel say daiya is very bad. She didn't like it and called for them to reformulate their cheese (they may have changed it since) She preferred field roast and follow your heart. Great to see what products you have over there in USA.
I love the smoked Miyokos smoked cheese, they have the best vegan cheese, good choice, also the peppered tofurky is the best tasting fake meat there is I think! This was a great video!
I love the Daiya Havartii jalapeño cheese. We've been buying some every week for the past year.
It's funny because I used to eat salami slices by itself and loved them more in sandwiches. Going to whole foods today to search for that Yves brand
Follow Your Heart has amazing sliced cheeses (for cold sandwiches, grilled cheese, etc.) and So Delicious has the best shredded cheeses (for mac n cheese, quesadillas, tacos, etc.). Not cheese plate style but still so good! And I recently tried Tofurkey oven roasted turkey slices and Yves veggie pepperoni slices on a deli style sandwich with Follow Your Heart provolone cheese and it was incredible. So many vegan options for a variety of uses!
Miyoko’s cheeses are the best 👌 Her black ash one is my favorite!
The Miyokos chive cream cheese is soooo good! Its amazing on toast. I also love the Chao original, i have never seen the other Chao flavors in stores near me.
Rebel Blossom Daiya Cream Cheese is gross (I’m never buying it again). I hope that kind is better - and that I can find it!

Tree nut cheese brand is really good! It's more of like a creamy/ brie like cheese, similar to Miyoko's cheeses. Also, Miyoko's smoked mozzarella is the absolute best vegan cheese ever. hands down. Love you beautiful ladies and I love the Vegan View!!! Favorite thing to watch lately
Omg I totally want to eat a cheese plate with you four. My favorite vegan cheeses and meats put into a sandwich would be peppered tofurkey and Yves pepperoni on toasted multigrain with kite hill chive cream cheese and follow your heart provolone and lettuce and tomato. Soooo good

The Miyokos mozzarella is really good melted on pizza 😍 it melts, bubbles and Browns! I bet it would be good in a caprese sandwich too!

This is really helpful! I've been a vegetarian for a long time but I've been very hesitant for this reason. I'm glad to see there's different options. Any idea if the blocks of cheese tend to be cheaper than the already sliced ones?
I haven't tried a vegan cheese I didn't like haha! I agree that you have to appreciate it for what it is and not expect it to be exactly like the "real" thing. Daiya is so much better now since it reformulated and Follow Your Heart cheese is probably my all around favorite brand!

I would love for you all to do vegan cheese and deli meat recipe reviews. There's many vegan cheese and deli "meat" recipes I'm hesitant to make til I hear what others thought after making at home.

I know a lot of vegans who love Kite Hill for cream cheese. I also personally like Tofutti cream cheese...both are delicious though!

Tofutti is really good! I make crab Rangoon with it and my family loves it! Daiya is the only brand that has that strange plasticky taste in some of their products (cream cheese, cheesecake, yogurt).
Tofutti sour cream is pretty good, too.
Kite hill the best then toffuti cream cheese cause kite hill kinda expensive.

The Field Roast lentil and sage deli slices are sooo good. At first you kind of think it's ok, but then you eat the whole pack
I always say it'd be great in a grilled cheese but it never makes it past straight-out-of-the-bag
MeanderingMeagan Field Roast is my favorite brand for sausages. However, the longer I'm vegan, the less I crave those meat flavors.
I think I am growing toward that as well - I have really been craving kale lately and I definitely notice my stomach is kinda sad if I eat something too greasy or processed. I prefer to use vegan meats as a small part of a meal
BUT that lentil loaf isn't really a faux meat, its literally lentils haha

I had a love for 5, 7 and 12 year old cheddar, and that kept me from being vegan for a while. And there is no way a vegan company can get to the level of sharp, gritty and oily that that is. But I love Miyokos and a local group here Raw Punk Cheese stuff.

I have not liked daiya shreds, or follow your heart slices , miyoka is a great brand. Chao white swiss slices is great for grilled cheese. Kite cream cheese is the best, tofutti sour cream awesome , tofutti cream cheese pretty good.. yet to find one great on pizza without a strange flavor. There is an awesome bologna one but can't remember name. Field roast roast is kinda good fried sliced.
You girls should have bought Follow Your Heart! They have cheese blocks as well. And if I’m not mistaken, Kite Hill has spreadable cheese.
2:06 I would say a lot of vegan foods taste better after being in the sun in the car for a few days to breakdown - otherwise it's too hard to eat it. Vegan food doesn't really go bad except after months, so it's still 'fresh'.

i see a lot of the comments love Follow Your Heart cheddar slices. I’m in the process of going vegan and testing lots of vegan products, i have to say i didn’t like Follow Your Heart slices for grilled cheese. reminded me of plastic school lunch cheese and seemed flavorless. i am a HEAVY lover of sharp ass cheddar cheese. i liked the texture of FYH but it lacked the cheese sharpness i’m begging to find in a vegan cheese. FHY is good in a regular cold sandwich.... isssss okay. but i wish these products were sharper!
Have you guys read stuff about how fig is like low key not vegan it doesn’t effect me because i don’t like figs but you guys should look into it its interesting just a thought :)
You realize there's a chance there could be insect parts in any kind of packaged foods as well right? They're allowed up to a certain amount. That extent of strictness is more harmful than helpful imo.
not all figs are pollinated by wasps :-)

I live in Toronto and I found the most amazing vegan cheese. The company is called Gusta. I’m super picky with vegan cheeses and I have tried a lot but so far this is the only one that I like. It’s good cold and melts amazingly. I would 100% give it to a non vegan with confidence that they would enjoy it.
