*DISCLAIMER* I did not know about the cap at the Post Master so yes I did lose out on some items haha but I don’t think most of any were of any importance! Overall in short this was to show how much of a waste spending strange coins on strange gifts are!
the post master caps out at 22 unique items I think,, you def got more than only 21 guns haha

Why did you use all of them at once? You can’t measure the effectiveness of it like this because you yeeted 66% of what you bought into the shadow realm by letting your postmaster overflow.
@@JoshIsStruggling to be honest I only just got back into Destiny last month after 7 years so I had no clue about the postmaster cap or I just don’t remember it having one. Hope the shadow realm enjoys some good ole blues 😅
For me at this point I’m happy with a few cores out of these with the extra I have if I bought anything good to begin with.
It was worth for me, i got a lot of cores and upgrades modules which it is what i was looking for, some blue drops as well but those were welcome as well cause of glimmer.

Because of the PM-Cap that I'm surprised you didn't know about, maybe empty all your inventories rather than bulking them up like you did. I wouldn't be surprised if 1/3 of the drops you got fell into the void. Appreciate the video though, I think even with the above it's evidential it's not worth it unless you literally have nothing to spend it on. Not wanting to teach you to suck eggs, but if you've only just got back into the game, and you're not using DIM, I can 100% recommend to give that a shot. It has helpful information such as the PM-cap.

Okay here's the thing and I'm only asking you cuz I don't know. If you've already collected all the weapons and armor that he's selling previously what else would you spend them on or use them for that would be more beneficial
@@chrono2959 well you could always do the strange gifts for glimmer and materials like raid banners and upgrade modules, but at times I’ve personally just bought the weekly items off the front page and usually I hit the most expensive one (an artifice helmet two weeks ago was 71 strange coins) just so I was able to rank Xur up a lot
@@ItsBreathingjet just to be clear I wasn't disagreeing with you in any way I was genuinely curious if there was something else that you could spend it on assuming you had already bought every armor and weapon
@@chrono2959 oh yeah I didn’t take it as such! I was just giving my opinion on the best use for them whenever you’ve collected everything!
the armor is actually good if you havent got to raiding and dungeon farming w a good trio, they seem to always drop w 60+ stats, the random weapons is really bad, theres like 30 and only 2 or 3 w like 1 in 16 chance of them being a decent roll (ive got ignition code w disorienting/spike slideshot on my 7 or so tries, so i guess i was REALLY lucky to even get these 3, imagine a 5/5)

Fun idea but as others have pointed out it's not a truly accurate measure of what you get. That said, the whole rework of Xur made it so all players could get useful things from him as a vendor, so the strange gift is probably just intended as a way to easily raise rep with him (as you observed.) I'm guessing you're right that none of the things you grabbed from the strange gifts were worth worrying over.
(Also, thought you might want to know that you missed some editing queues toward the end of the video.)
Otherwise well done; I'm curious to watch your 7 years video, I bet that's a heck of a learning curve.
@@fuzzygoldfish haha I KNEW there was one part that I missed when editing but i completely overlooked that plus you are the first to point it out so I thought I was in the clear 😂 Thank you for pointing that out though and yeah haha it was very interesting getting back into it cause I remembered the basics but missed so much content and changes that I still had/have lots to learn!
