SYNOPSIS: Prakash Travelling Cinema attempts to capture the spirit of an age old medium of entertainment through a bioscope film projector owned by two friends who share a deep friendship, unceasing optimism and most of all, an undying passion for their travelling cinema. The documentary takes you through their lives on the street where they walk around the city lugging their antique travelling cinema and lure people into watching glimpses of movies, which their cinema has to offer.
This film was screened as a part of the NID Film & Video Retrospective at ALPAVIRAMA 2011 South Asian Short & Documentary Film Festival. (www.nid.edu/alpavirama/index.html)
Winner: Best Student Film Award at Jeevika 2007.
