Sometimes I wonder if Kyoresu is actually a marketing genius and intentionally got herself terminated in the most over-the-top way possible. I would imagine that her career as Riro probably didn't live up to her expectations, both in terms of the exposure she ultimately got and the restrictions placed on her as a result of corpo policies. What if instead of just graduating as a literal who, she intentionally initiated this whole scandal to cement herself as the new menhera queen of vtubing? It's a schizo theory but absolutely *everything* about this drama is maximum schizo to begin with
Honestly I was confused why she joined idol to begin with. She pretty much abandoned a channel of 400k to join idol who only has 1 member over 100k subs so far, and all love to Rin, it’s due to the shorts boom she got. I feel like Kyoresu easily could’ve just debuted as an indie vtuber and would’ve been more successful than her venture with idol. I get there are benefits to joining a corpo (as well as cons of course), but she might’ve been better off doing it this way from the jump. Maybe she just wanted to get some funds through the help of idol then dip, idk. I wish her the best tho

A lot of indies, even big ones, often feel like they can't or haven't "made it" as a VTuber until they join an agency. It kinda makes sense when you consider that some of the biggest VTubers are part of said agencies. It could also be validating to have someone or a group of people saying all the content you make is "good" or worth watching.
The other issue is inexperience. If you don't have/can't afford a VTuber artist or rigger or personal mansger or editor, then the onus is on you to be in charge of uploading videos, organising streams, reaching out for collabs and making your VTuber model. That's not an easy thing for most people to do (and iirc, ky0 wasn't in the best mental headspace before joining idol, so that probably didn't help). Since most VTubers wouldn't know how to do all these thing, an agency can take all that administration work off a VTuber's hands

They've never made me hallucinate (I've been prescribed Zopiclone if that makes a difference compared to other meds) when I've made myself stay awake for a while, but then I hardly ever take more than one pill at a time. I was once on a different sleep med which did consistently result in me having nightmares once I fell asleep, though.

Honestly, if that really happened, that's being a hero. That's helping a poor woman who was dating or married a shtty guy who doesn't respect her nor their relationship and cheats on her.
Stop blaming the third party (here, this vTuber) for the shtty behaviour of the cheater. The cheater's the one who knows they're in a relationship, they're the one who promised to be faithful, respectul and loving and broke that promise, they're the one who made the choice of cheating, they're the one in the wrong. Heck, most of the time the lover isn't even aware that the cheater has a partner anyway.
To be fair, she owes no one an apology. Even if what they accused her of doing is true, the most she owes is an apology to the manager's partner. No one online is owed an apology from her, because it literally is no one else's business.
Also a very popular vtuber company, made a contract that says they can defame her or anybody else who signed it and they can't make any public statement against those statements
I think she doesn’t owe the internet an apology, but sleeping with her manager can be exploitative behavior and very inappropriate for a work place (not to mention cheating), and sleeping with your fans is also a form of manipulation and not to mention parasocial to the highest degree. She definitely doesn't owe anyone else, apart from the parties affected, an apology. With the fan thing, I think it depends. No different from a fling, especially with a celebrity. Is there some effect related to the perceived celebrity status there? Sure. But if both parties are of legal age and aware that it's simply a one time thing, I don't see too much of an issue.
Again, assuming the claims by the Vtuber agency are true. I certainly wouldn't go around defending a corporation with no substantial evidence, especially considering this is, quite literally, a he-said-she-said situation.

But when Zaion got axed in 2023 and Sayu then exposed the motivation behind said termination, the ball started rolling and people started noticing.
Riro's termination was a mere drop in the ocean. It caused a bit of a ripple, but she was forgotten pretty quickly.

Whether or not those term reasons were fake or not she got what she wanted: a HUGE hype around her (being semi-positive), HUGE amount of attention (Both good and bad) and left her mark as the most radical termination in Vtuber history. She had all the things needed for redebuting.
In a somewhat poetic way this reminds me of Dokibird/Selen: Insane graduation, rad reasons, insane amount of hype and eyes on her, and after redebuting she gathered atound herself HUGE amount of fame, which, unlike kyo, was pretty much only good

But meeting up with fans in private and accepting gifts for thousands of dollars from them with the insentive that she'll maybe, possibly sleep with them if she feels like it, is definitely crossing the line. Regardless of whether or not she actually DID sleep with any fan, she DEFINITELY had monetary gains from pretending that she probably would.

Meaning, she may not be lying. We have video proof of her making the harem, we don't have proof that something came out of it. She may be telling the truth here, and because of the video evidence she would still be liable to be kicked from the company, regardless of what came out from the whole ordeal. Reality isn't always about did or did not. Trust or trust not. People need to be open to alternatives instead of being skeptical of everything.
The whole "prove or it didn't happen" can be quite toxic depending on the situation.
For example a couple of friends talking about a piece of news they read 20 years ago, then there's this asshole that butts into the conversation and ask for proof. How would these friends even prove it happened? The internet was in it's infancy 20 years ago, those news would only be found in either magazines, newspapers or television. And many such materials was either lost or isn't easily accessible to most people.
I mean she admit she was wrong and that her consequences if you read the underlying message in the vid. It just being absolute thick face has it own perk in this situation.

I'm entirely with you. It's like people forgot how sad and depressing her 'silly time' gets - it's not a healthy woman engaging in healthy relationships with consenting parties. It's a mentally unwell (based on what evidence we have) young woman who's clearly not coping well and is doing dangerous and harmful activities as a result of being unable to be mentally sound -
Personally, I consider sleeping around without checking for disease, etc pretty dangerous. I'm a retired sex worker and I currently do NSFW artistic content these days, and even I think her situation isn't chill. You need to be very mentally healthy and physically healthy and be able to make healthy choices in order to work in that field successfully - meanwhile, with her, it feels more like a cry for help than a happy healthy sexually active adult doing happy healthy things.

I'm a pharmacist and I am taking multiple recreational drugs since I am 11 (that is why I have chosen this career), but I also took care of my health and did enough harm reduction because I want to live longer so I can do more drugs. I have graduated with the highest grades among all of my classmates, my health is perfectly fine, I have a family, I am in a good place mentally and monetarily (well, I work in the research field and honestly it's not the best option for a pharmacist remuneration wise, but that's my dream since I'm 11 so anyways), but as soon as someone finds out that I am on amphetamines and GHB 24/7, they freak out as if I'm lost and tell me I'm destroying my health and the consequences will appear soon (they conveniently forget that I'm doing it for decades, for more than half of my life). Surely she does not look like someone who takes them with enough precaution, but everyone is acting like she is rock bottom while honestly it's not a big deal at all.
