My first time ever opening up a controller was to install this mod, honestly not all that hard thanks to this video. Only issue I had was not pressing the two boards together hard enough at 7:31, had to take it back apart to connect them properly, other then that no issues.
This is one of the more fiddly mods out there. Glad it worked out for you :)
The ending with Scarlet Fire reminds me of a DankPods video where he blows up headphones using this song

Maybe. If you have a spare controller that you can dedicate to mods then it’s fine but I probably wouldn’t do it on a brand new one.

Eh you just gotta learn to mod, it's not too difficult to do when you know what you're doing. I'd say buy some old broken Xbox one X controllers (can get a pile of em for pretty cheap) and start learning on those by trying to fix them

Do we have to use a battery pack/batteries or Can we hook a charger to it instead
It’s only a change to the internals. I see no reason for it to not work with a charger connected but I have not tested this.

I gotta say this actually looks good, I've just always wanted a kit where the letters in the buttons light up like this except in their respective colors, I've always been into more subtle lighting anyways lol, anyone have any recommendations?
It would be good if you could get a kit that does what you describe. It would be as simple as adding an extra colour profile to the settings I think. I will keep my eyes open for something like this.

Does this work for a ps4 elite controller and if you use a Xbox one just on the ps4 one or does it matter?
I don't fully understand the question but you can buy this kit for the PS4 controller I believe.

I am not sure you can. There are websites that sell custom controllers but I don't know who would pre-buiild these. If you are not comfortable doing the work yourself, which I understand, then maybe you have a friend that could do it.

There is a specific controller model number it works with. The compatible modes are model 1537/1697/1708
