- Das Holzrücken mit Pferd und Schlitten (Has) - genannt "Hasna" - ist im alpinen Gelände bei kleinen Durchforstungen immer noch aktuell.
In diesem Video zeigt uns Josef Vierhauser mit seiner Norikerstute "Fany" diese Art des Holzrückens.

One has to respect these Hard Working Folks that live and farm in the Alps using equipment that was common over 70 years ago. I did not see any third world labor brought in to do the heavy work, these men and women are doing the heavy lifting themselves, a people with a strong work ethic for sure.

That Draft Horse was barely working on such a light load, Still, he gives his horse a nice rest often. City people have no idea how strong those horses are and how much they enjoy getting out of the barn and pulling something. If he didn't work that horse, it wouldn't be as athletic and healthy. That's a well fed and happy animal.
Can't agree totally . . . I worked with a team as a young fellow. That is heavy work, no footing in that loose snow and we never sat on the load when the load was on an incline, just respect to the animal. I did love the design of the sleigh, excellent for the purpose. Cheers!
