+DimensiiioN He's in there all the time.I know of 4 times :-) I don't get why he travels around the US collecting books and even has them restored (which we've learnt previously) and instead of making real money and selling them onto collectors bookshops or by auction he takes them to a Pawnshop and gets up to half their real value. . It's either he's crazy and happens to turn up a lot when filming is happening or it's fake.

All Rick has to do is carry that book one state over to Utah. Lots of collectors here that deal with rare Mormon books who want the first 4 editions of the Book of Mormon in their collection.

Yeah go ahead and buy something off eBay for $40,000 and wait for it to show up at your door in a box that was thrown around, stepped on and ripped open... he should have go to an actual auction where they auction off antiques
I know i'm late to the party but yes what we see on tv is all scripted but the items that they're selling are actually real they can't afford to have cameras running like that 24/7 so they operate as a normal pawn shop until something really interesting comes in or anything people would want to see then they schedule a time for the customer to come back the next day where they'll have the store closed and except for some background actors playing customers they'll have a camera crew set up and stage a lot of it director even asks them to ask about a certain aspect of the item or to react differently lol
Rebecca and adam would be a great spinoff show. just have them living together as a couple arguing. she seems like she could hold her own.

Had no idea these went for that much money. Always assumed the only people who'd want to buy one are Mormon, but I guess it does have a lot of historical significance. I'm an atheist/ex-mormon and I've read it of course. I don't believe in the book, but I've got to say, the message is good and the stories are very interesting. And at the end of the day, I can't hold anything against a book that fundimentally teaches people to be nicer to each other.
