Having died more than once and speaking much first hand experience to how Heaven, the Earth, and other realms are setup, I can tell you suicide is no escape from anything and actually makes it far worse on you! Something to never forget. If you die on Earth most ways you usually end up places other than the Earth but in the case of suicide, you end up perfectly alive on Earth like nothing happened other than perhaps notice some small changes to what you know as Earth may be slightly different. You end up on a parallel Earth which is usually nearly identical with the same or n perhaps even worse troubles for you and though you wer successful killing yourself where you were originally, you begin to doubt that because all indications in the alternate Earth is a different course of events where that was not the case at all and in this loop you forever stay alive seemingly stuck on Earth. A situation actually worse than concepts of hell for most people.

You are approaching this with the mindset of a Pharisee or some other kind of legalistic perfectionist who believes they must work it all out on their own maintaining constant awareness about whether they were re "conscious" enough or "sorry enough" to keep walking with God. If we do not a random collision with a Mack truck may well send us to hell. This is not what traditional believers in free will think. It is just a straw man constructed by believers in antinomianism.
When you make a straw man argument, you’re essentially arguing against an IMAGINARY scarecrow. It’s an easy way to make your argument sound infallible-and that’s what makes it a LOGICAL FALLACY.
Regarding Matthew 11:28: Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Did Christ say look at my yoke, study and admire it in the abstract?
No, He said Take my YOKE UPON you.
An ox does not wear a yoke as a decoration. The yoke UNITES Master and Animal together in the common purpose of doing the master's WILL. It is WORK but since the Holy Spirit helps us do it the work is not laborious but LIGHT and brings rest not like the yoke of the Law which Peter said neither he nor his fathers could bear.

In my personal walk with christ, there have been times I have backslid, however, just in those backsliding time when my fleshly spirit did the things that didnt agree and life started to take a turn for the worse, God never gave up on me he sent laborers on the way and put me in circumstances where i had no choice but to turn back to him. Granted it is a growing process because my backsliding was a result of getting sucked in by the lies of the enemy and i fell farther into sin but i didnt originally intend to sin. Each time when he restores me and pulls me back i grow in knowledge of him. To me it reminds me of when God starts a work in you hes gonna finish it.

Jon Singleton I have followed much of your thread and it appears that you are striving hard to debate with others to prove them wrong because you believe you have it all down, drawn out and put together. Brother, if you want to talk about something Biblical your talking it, it’s that biblical term Pride. To assume your position is dangerous and you should confess this area of your life to Jesus Christ and allow Him to rid you from this.
Even this young woman who gave a testimony of how she walked away from God and was like the prodigal daughter and God pursued her in her backslidden state is the Agape love of God Almighty. I to walked away for sometime, but God never gave up on me. I came back praise God, because He didn’t want me to stay in that backslidden state. God is merciful to us all, and none of us are even worthy enough to deserve this gift of salvation that he offers freely to us. Some of the greatest apostasy that’s running rampant in the church today are self righteous people preaching a message that they themselves aren’t even able to live or abide by. They walk in arrogance and great pride like they have arrived. The fact is, none of us have truly arrived. We are always being changed and transformed to be more like Him. We must be teachable because the moment we stop, Pride takes the lead.

Jesus bluntly said he'll remove anyone's name from the book of life in Revelation 22:18-19 and we know from the Daniel 12:1, Philippians 4:3 that only people with salvation names are found in the book of life so if they were removed from it that means we can indefinitely lose our salvation. Not to mention verses like in the end times they'll DEPART from the faith which you can only depart if you were once walking in true faith. As well as go about your salvation with fear and trembling why would Jesus say that if it was impossible to lose. Anyways Jesus bluntly saying he'll removed a saved person name from the book of life is the end all of this topic.

@@jeffouellette9946 I’d be careful calling it doctrine of demons and assuming OSAS just makes people feel like they’re ok to compromise in sin, the Holy Spirit will let you know and convict you. I am genuinely curious though if you can lose salvation what is the line you can’t cross? The parable of the prodigal son is a great parable that shows that even if we turn away for a time he is always there to welcome us back into fellowship with him with open arms. It’s not like if you start falling back into your old sinful habits and attitudes for a time, that Gods grace and mercy doesn’t still cover you. He will chastise and discipline his children when they’re in disobedience but that’s evidence that we are truly his children, I think that’s what happens when “a dog goes back to its vomit” you get chastised but you don’t lose salvation if you genuinely have saving faith in Jesus Christ. His blood paid for past present and future sins in the eternal sense but he does not excuse us from the consequence of sin in this life when we slip up (which we will). I just don’t think it lines up with scripture that you can lose salvation even with the common anti OSAS verses people try to use like Hebrews 6:6. We need to rightly divide the word of truth and interpret the more difficult passages in context carefully and in light of the other plain truths about salvation that are in the Bible, after all the Bible has no contradictions but with the common interpretation of Hebrews 6:6 it would appear to contradict the prodigal son parable. I’m open to admitting if I am wrong and want to seek the genuine truth of God but I do truly believe OSAS after praying for the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth on this contentious topic and I feel like he has led me towards OSAS every time I go to prayer about it. God bless my brother in Christ I know this was an old comment but I’d love to see your response if you do see this! 🙏

Aren't you tired of throwing verses back and forth like a proverbial food fight? Each team embracing their own set of what they say the verses mean? What does the true gospel entail? Is it a once and for all declaration, or a race to be run with all of our heart, soul and strength? The false gospel being preached today is rooted in three fundamental errors: 1) Justification is a one time irrevocable declaration, guaranteeing salvation; 2) Grace is the free gift of salvation where there can be no expectations attached. 3) And salvation is apart from any and all works. These are the errors of Martin Luther which have been adopted by virtually every evangelical church today. This series explains the theological roots of this error and presents the Biblical gospel. @@labae8728 Your anti-Catholic sentiments are quite wrong and you need to get your facts right. If you really believe in praying to Jesus for yourself (in the way you seem to be trying to articulate, i.e. excluding intercessors), then logically you would have to condemn "Christians" for asking their fellow "Christians" to pray for them, in order to be consistent. Catholics do pray to Jesus directly, by the way. You need to stop all the anti-Catholic garbage and make consulting this information your number one priority. Your version of Christianity is a counterfeit, and is unhistorical and unbiblical. The Catholic Church is the original Church and you need to belong to it for eternal salvation. Before you dismiss this information by saying you only stick with the Bible, you should know that the very term "Bible" as applied to the books of the Old and New Testaments, comes from St. John Chrysostom, who was a fourth century Catholic bishop. This fact was acknowledged by Protestant scholar, F.F. Bruce. You can see more about this in the video, The First Use of The Bible: czcams.com/video/ly137br9ctY/video.html
Also, the Catholic Church decided what books were to be in the Bible, so you don't even have a Bible without the Catholic Church. The Bible did not fall out of the sky intact. It was put together by the Catholic Church, which is the Church Jesus established (Matthew 16:18-19). You can't be a follower of Jesus unless you accept all of His teaching and hear His Church. That only happens in the traditional Catholic faith. Additionally, if you're one to label the Catholic use of statues as idolatrous, then your problem would be with God and the Bible, because God specifically commands the making of religious statues. The Bible does not condemn the use of true religious statues and images. See Exodus 25:17-19 below (and keep in mind that cherubim are angels):
And thou shalt make a mercy seat pure gold: two cubits and a half the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof. And thou shalt make two cherubims gold, beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat. And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.
Other Bible references which show God's command to make statues for true religious purposes are: Exodus 26:1, 1 Kings 6, 1 Kings 7:25-36 and Numbers 21:8. For more information about what the Bible teaches regarding the use of true religious statues and praying to Saints (not worshipping Saints), please see this audio with Bible references for one's learning: www.mostholyfamilymonastery.com/catholicchurch/bible-praying-to-saints/#.Xy2Eay2ZPs0

Hate to burst your bubble, but he would forsake you if you forsake him. You can separate yourself from God, but cannot separate him from you. The scripture says so.
However, you are right. "...True followers will never lose their salvation..." because in order to demonstrate that your faith is genuine, we have to do good works. As long as we do both, in accordance with his will, we will -always- be saved.
God will always be with us. However, he may not SAVE us. Those are two distinctive issues. God is with the person shouting at the Cashier @ Walmart. However, he likely ALSO is with that cashier. The person shouting at the cashier isn't doing a good work. So, thus, her mistake if repeated without repentance, she is not doing good works continually. However, God is still with you. You just can't feel his presence/ the feeling of BEING saved.

Good brother, "Phillip." Living a "back-slidden" life is very dangerous, you give "demons" open access into every area of your life. Why, if one cannot "fall-away" do we see those words in scripture? My friend, read CLOSELY the following verses, and then--ask the LORD for understanding--not MINE--but HIS. Gal.3:1-5; Gal.5:7; Gal.4:8,9; Luke 8:13b; Matt.26:31b; Mark 4:15; Luke 14:34; 2 Thess.3:6-15; 1Tim.1: 3-11; 1Tim.4:1; 1Tim.5:15; Also, chapter 6:10b. Check out Luke 9:62. "Putting your HAND to the plow refers to the "WORK" we do as believers! 2 Pet.2"20-22 is extremely clear in context. Also, 2 Pet.2:15. The following is a clear-cut, sober warning: Heb.2:1-3. And of course, Heb.6: 4-6, which is taken OUT if its obvious context by some Christians. And YES--Heb.7:27 says that "Christ died ONCE for ALL..." But that is NOT implying one cannot "fall." There are quite a few MORE, good brother, but tell me, why is there actually more WARNINGS in scripture than "pats on the back?" God TELLS us, "Be SOBER-MINED and...WATCH." Watch WHAT? It's the same thing as "take heed...stand...lest you FALL." Some would say it makes it sound as if God is impersonal--I beg to differ! He LOVES us enough to WARN us what can happen if we allow "laodicia" to get the better--or should I say--WORST of us. Pray for wisdom, my friend, for she is greater than "fine jewels." God bless you.

we have been clearly warned in scriptures about this matter.

Yes, I agree. You have the correct understanding. Salvation is something we must strive to hold on to daily by freewill cooperation with the grace of God won for us by the finished work of Jesus. Jesus' passion does not remove our freewill after we come to know Him like some teach. That's why Paul states 'work out your salvation in fear and trembling'. OSAS is a dangerous theology and lulls many into thinking the blood of Jesus will simply cover their sins. Some simply are taught to ignore the warning verses or to attribute them to others but not to themselves.

Yes, that is true, and don't let anyone deceive you otherwise. There are many scriptures that show God's power in saving and "keeping" those whom He saves.
Psalm 37:28, "For the Lord loves judgment, and forsakes not His saints; they are preserved forever..." He Himself "preserves" them.
Psalm 65:4, "Blessed is the individual whom YOU CHOOSE, and CAUSE TO APPROACH YOU, that he may dwell in Your courts (implying forever)..."
If it was all up to us to keep our salvation, then we would be our own saviors, and would have no need of the Holy Spirit. He "seals" us by His Spirit "UNTO the day of salvation," not until we decide to walk away. How could He call any of us His "elect" if we "could" forsake Him?
Notice what Jesus said about His elect in Matt. 24:24, "For there shall arise false Christs (false anointed ones -- the charlatans always claim to operate in the "anointing"), and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders (slaying in the spirit? laughing uncontrollably? false gifts of the Spirit? fake casting out demons? etc.); insomuch that, IF IT WERE POSSIBLE, they shall deceive the VERY ELECT." This is a good example that Jesus will keep His elect from being deceived to the point of apostasy.
Is it merely "our" will involved? John Baptist was filled with the Spirit while a fetus in his mother's womb. He didn't ask God first, nor did God ask him. His mission to pave the way for YHWH Messiah was prophesied by Isaiah about 700 years before his birth. John could no more apostatize from God and not complete his mission than the moon could decide to leave its orbit around the earth. Again, Isaiah prophesied of a coming king of the Medo-Persians named Cyrus, who he said would issue the decree to rebuild Jerusalem and the Temple, whom God called His "son" (He wasn't the Son of God, of course, but obedient to Him as a son in what God had raised him up to do for Him). But he wrote this prophecy over 200 years before his birth. Cyrus was made by God for this purpose, just like He raised up the evil Pharaoh to show His wonders in Egypt. But does God's will for us mean that we have no choice? Nope. Both wills are involved, which is a conundrum that no man can fully parse. All the warnings of scripture against sin, lethargy, apostasy, etc., only hit bone with God's elect. Those whom Jesus described as seed sown by the wayside, or on rocky ground, or among thorns, or tares, will not fully heed the warnings and repent.
Lastly, as you read Jesus' final prayer for His 11 apostles in John 17, you will find that He said that He "kept" them. Compare those verses with John 6:39, the wording is identical. He "keeps" ALL that the Father has given Him, and will lose "NONE" (KJV says "nothing", but the Greek word is "me" [pronounced "may"], which means that all implications are ruled out, in other words, it is "impossible" for Jesus to lose even one of those the Father had already given Him before the foundation of the world, just as it was impossible for Him to have lost the 11 apostles, or Paul, or John Baptist, or Moses, or Elijah, or David. The only reason He lost Judas, whom He described early on as a "devil", was because his betrayal was prophesied in the scriptures hundreds of years before he was born. Jesus said of his betrayal, "that the scripture might be fulfilled." Well, John 6:39 is also a scripture that must be fulfilled -- He will lose NONE.
      Rejoice in His salvation!

There are few saved because many refuse to BELIEVE in Jesus the Christ for Eternal Life.
The way that leads to life is narrow (Matt. 7:13-14). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but by Him (John 14:6). Self-righteous people are on the wrong path. They are on the broad way that leads to destruction (Matt. 7:13). Jesus came to save those who know that they are sick and lost and in absolute need of His deliverance (Matt. 9:12-13; Mark 2:17; Luke 5:31-32; 18:9-14). Of course, that is all of us, all of mankind.
However, some people are unwilling to own up to the truth. The cross of Christ is a stumbling block to those who think that they are good enough to deserve kingdom entrance. Those who throughout the course of their lives reject the free gift of salvation and refuse to trust in Christ alone will find out that in reality they are sinners, those who “practice lawlessness” (Matt. 7:23). Only then it will be too late.
What would you say if you appeared before God and He said, “Why should I let you into My kingdom?” Matthew 7:22 is the wrong answer. The right answer is, “Lord, I am an unworthy sinner who has placed his complete trust upon what Jesus did for me upon the cross, and He promised that whoever believes in Him has eternal life” (Luke 18:13-14; John 3:16; Rom. 4:5; Eph. 2:8-9; Titus 3:5).May we call people to do the will of God so that they can obtain entrance into the kingdom of God. Those who place their trust wholly in Jesus Christ have done the will of the Father and have already passed from death to life (John 5:24) and will not come into judgment regarding their eternal destiny (John 3:18).

I agree. We are not secured until the very end. There's nothing like "I have a ticket to heaven, no matter what". It is rather shocking how popular this "ticket to heaven" idea has become- so many do have itching ears, so many want to keep living in a sin.
Only those who love the Lord and diligently do His will, will be saved. The Lord is Holy. So Holy that He cannot be around any wilful, unrepentant sinners. Therefore, those He judges to be acceptable to abide with Him in heaven for an eternity must try their utmost to be Christ-like in this life.
Also, if every born-again was saved, then there would be no need for a warning against backsliding and falling away:
"Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this will we do, if God permit.
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame." Hebrews 6:1-6
"For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire." 2 Peter 2: 20-22

@@jvnd2785 Those who are unrepentant are not born again believers. Born again believers will not go unrepentant. IF you're truly born again, it will be marked by a life of repentance and a life of work produced by faith alone. To believe that you're truly born again but not have assurance of salvation is a scary thing, because if we could lose our salvation we would. Paul says in Romans 7: 16-17 that he continues to do what he hates and do what he doesn't want to do and says that it is sin living in him. The Christian life is not about running through the flower fields ( I wish it would), but the reality is there are ups and downs in our lives. There may be times when we are doing well in our faith but there could be times when our faith is tested because of trials and hardships we face, but the important thing is whether we look to the cross or not. When we truly are born again, God gives us faith to overcome. It is impossible to be born again and live in the life of sin, if that is so, you have deceived yourself thinking you're born again.

For the record, I don’t believe that God throws us out but rather humankind has free will. So if someone decides to reject Christianity years later and live a satanic life or just godless existence, then why would this person deserve to live with Jesus in heaven when he clearly didn’t want to live with Him here?!
I think in order to decide upon and to preach a doctrine, you need firstly not to find scriptures that support your view especially if the are plenty of scriptures saying the opposite.
I would like to hear you overcome the many parables, warnings and teachings all through the Bible before we disregard and ignore clear teachings in the word. Especially when we are warned not to preach a foreign gospel or add to the word.
    Here are just a few;
    1. 10 virgins, 5 that don’t make it and yet all are called and waiting
    2. Unforgivable sin against the Holy Spirit where there is no forgiveness. Why would you need this if not saved.
    3. Parable of talents, 1 slothful servant of God
    4. Rebukes to seven churches, return or have your lamp stand put out
    5. Matt 18 dealing with conflict in the church, last move to put the person outside under Satans control so that they maybe saved
    6. Tasting of the heavenly gifts and partaken in the Holy Spirit but falling away there is no forgiveness of their sin
    7. Rev 12 leave the out Court worshipers

So far, none of these you have listed say anything about anyone losing salvation after being in Christ while being used in context.
Of course if you separate them from context and study them as stand alone verses, then yes. I guess you can make the argument that it's possible to lose salvation if you twist the meaning to fit a certain view.
But in context, none of these support losing salvation.

For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The Lord will judge His people.” It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

      Hebrews 6:4-6
      King James Version
4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
The Sin (For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins) that Hebrews is referring to is rejecting the Gospel of Salvation that is the only Sin that can not be forgiven. For rejecting Christ is the unforgivable Sin. So many times people use Hebrews wrongly to try to place people back under the law.
When you hear the Gospel and accept its truth you are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, and are saved. Therefore you can not fall away. this verse obliterates the "You can lose you salvation argument", because first it says "IMPOSSABLE", second it says if you reject that Gospel you can not earn your way thus reiterating all the scripture that confirms security. Every time you go back to the Law you are in fact crucifying' Christ all over again ignoring John 19:28-30 King James Version
30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. IT IS FINISHED, not its finished but, or its only slightly finished.

But His work on the cross is done, and that is what gives us our standing as sons and daughters, that allows us to live in His grace, not afraid that we will fail to pass the judgment because of our failures, or because we aren't growing fast enough, and we fear that He might grow impatient with us. The sacrifice of the Son was freely given to mankind by the Father. However, in order to receive the benefits of the atonement we must BELIEVE. If we do not we will not be saved. However, salvation depends not only on that FIRST step of faith. Afterward this step is supposed to become a continual WALK: "For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall LIVE by faith."
      (Romans 1:17)
      ...............................................
Only by CONTINUING to live and walk by faith can we CONTINUE to enjoy forgiveness and cleansing that Christ bought for us (1 John 1:7-9). If we should choose to turn away from this walk of faith or even cease believing altogether we will not complete our journey and stand before Him:
…21 Once you were alienated from God and were hostile in your minds because of your evil deeds. But now He has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy, unblemished, and blameless IN HIS PRESENCE- 23 IF indeed you CONTINUE IN YOUR FAITH, established and firm, NOT MOVED from the hope of the GOSPEL you heard,
      (Colossians 1:22-23)
IF introduces the condition which we must fulfill if we are to complete our journey and stand in His presence. However, God has already given us the power to do this in the Person of the Holy Spirit.
      ...............................................
The idea that we must CONTINUE in faith is repeated in other scriptures:
Take notice, therefore, of the KINDNESS and severity of God: severity to those who fell, but kindness to you, IF you CONTINUE in His kindness. Otherwise you also will be CUT OFF.
      (Romans 11:22)
The gift of the son was a great act of KINDNESS towards us on the part of God but we must CONTINUE in that kindness or else we will be CUT OFF from it.
      ...............................................
To be CUT OFF from the Vine means that we no longer are SHARING His life. Without His life, we wither and die and, if we meet God in that condition, we will be burned:
6 If anyone does not remain in Me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers. Such branches are gathered up, thrown into the fire, and burned (John 15:6)

It is impossible to bring such people back to repentance; by rejecting the Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and holding him to public shame.

You can research the shroud of turin that is a miraculous relique, or the picture of our Lady of Guadalupe that can not be of human origin either. Also, the eucharistic miracle of Lanciano was investigated scientificaly and baffles modern understanding. Jesus said to his disciples to eat his flesh snd drink his blood at the last supper, and to do it again in remembrance. He said that the bread is really his flesh, literally. Therefore the catholic priest consecrates the host in the eucharist, that it my in a mystic sense repeat the sacrifice of Jesus. And throzghout history hundreds of eucharist miracles are recorded and explored. The results are the same: the flesh is always that of an around 30-year old man, blood-Group AB, the cells are not cut and keep preserved thrpughout centuries which is actually "impossible". In 1917, in Fatima, 70 000 people witnessed the sun wonder, an atmospheric wonder, because oft the Holy Mother Mary, who gave messages to three children there, prophecies about the second world war, the spread of communism, the great apostasy (the greater part of the church authority lost faith, in fact), liturgical changes after 1960 ect. ("Fatima Crusaders", "The Remnant")
If there is a rightousness that is also inscribed into our conscious, it must have reason. Every sin, according to the faith, is an offense to the Infinite Good, God, who created man out of His love that he might love him in return, see what is good and do it, and avoid evil. All that happens, our deeds included, have consequences. According to Jesus, hell is the consequence of unrepented sin.
Many things point to the traditional catholic Church. Luther revolted out of personal reasons: he was unable to cope with his own sin. Hete sone quotes of Luther who "invented" the protestant ideas that this CZcamsr uses:
Christ taught: "If you wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. " Matt 19:17

"If we allow them - the commandments - any influence in our conscience, they become a cloak of all evil, heresies and blasphemies." Comm. ad Galat, p. 310
Christ taught: "Be therefore wise as serpents and simple as doves." Matt 10:16 "You know than how to discern the face of the sky, and you can not know the signs of the times?" (Matt 26:3)
Luther teaches: "No good work happens as the result of one`s own wisdom; nur everything must happen in a stupor... Reason must be left behind for it is the enemy of faith. " Tischreden, Weimer Vl, 143, 25-35
"Reason is the devils handmaid and does and does nothing but blaspheme and dishonor all that God says or does." Against The Heavenly Prophets, On Images And Sacraments
"Reason is directed opposed to faith, and one ought to let it be; in believers it should killed and buried." Erlangen, Vol 44
"A person that is baptized cannot, thou he would, lose his salvation by any sins however grieveous, unless je refuses to believe. For no sins can damn him but unbelief alone." The Babylonian captivity. It's worth mentioning on this point that Luther himself had early written: "Pray for me I am falling into the abyss of sin." - Enders, Vol 3, Pg. 193
"Be a sinner, and let your sins we strong, but let your trust in Jesus be stronger, and rejoice in Christ who is the victor over sin, death and the world. We will commit sins while we are here, for this place is not where justice resides... No sin can separate us from him, even if we were to kill or commit adultery thousands of times each day." 'Let your sins be strong' from 'The Wittenberg Project', 'The Wartburg Segment', translated by Erika Flores, from Dr. Martin Luther`s Sämmtliche Schriften, Letter No. 99,1 Aug. 1521 - Also Denifle`s Luther and Lutheranism
"Do not ask anything of your conscience, and if it speaks, no not listen to it; if it insists, stifle it, amuse yourself; if necessary, commit some good big sin, in order to drive it away. Love you brother, but you misquoted scripture. You said, “All that the Father has given me, I will not lose one” (7:50). That’s not what the Bible says and is very misleading. The Bible clearly says that it is the WILL OF GOD that He does not lose one. Big difference. It’s also the will if God that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance; but the will of God is not always accomplished.
It pains me to see this doctrine promulgated as it is. There is a great apostasy coming (2 Th 2:3, 1 Tim 4:1, Mat 24:9-13) and we should be warning believers as the Bible does (Heb 3:12, for example). Instead, many are receiving false assurance because of teachings like this.

Hal Chaffee Thank you for using Scripture to back up what I believed. It is so important as teachers of Scripture that we rightly divide the word of truth. The Scriptures are the final authority on which we base our beliefs. But if our beliefs are based on a misinterpretation of the Scripture we’ll continue to teach it incorrectly. I knew there was a Scripture about the great falling away. And that falling away refers to the Saints. This supports the idea of being able to forfeit entering into the kingdom of God by our own choice.

We see many departing from the teachings of the faith and are believing lies, but they were never OF the faith. If one truly believes eternal life is by the grace of God through faith in that grace, they would never depart. The problem with those who believe they can lose their salvation is that they don't actually put their faith in Jesus Christ. They put it in their own ability. Brother Allen, I agree with most of your teaching. In fact, you are doing a GREAT work in these last days that you MUST continue with all due diligence. NO sin can sever us from Christ - He paid for it all on Calvary's cruel cross. Notwithstanding, God will NEVER override man's free will. If, like Judas, we believe in and follow Christ and later turn away, He will honor our decision to apostatize. It's not a matter of sin, rather free will and choice. Hebrews 6:4-8 makes that abundantly clear. The word for "fall away" in verse 6:6 is PARAPIPTO, meaning to knowingly turn away and reject/return the free gift of salvation that we once embraced. You can never LOSE your salvation - however you CAN premeditatedly walk away. Keep up your critical ministry! And God bless and guide you in all things.

    Brother Allen,
I appreciate and respect the work you do for the lord. I am a subscriber and I will continue to watch your videos. However, with that said I must respectfully disagree that once saved always saved. I agree works do not save us but the grace of God. We cannot earn our way to heaven. I also believe we can be forgiven multiple times for our sins and no sin is too great to be covered by Jesus atonement for our sins. Nevertheless, if we turn away from God and do not repent we chose not to serve him.
Matthew 7:21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. This verse is not just for false prophets but anyone who is not doing God’s will. If a believer is unrepentant of the sins in 1 Corinthians 6:9, Galatians 5:21, and Revelation 21:8 they will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Continually committing the sins mentioned in those chapters without repenting would contradict God’s word. Saying I am sorry is different from repenting. Furthermore, in Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Many people want to have enough of Jesus to be saved but still have fun with the devil. I believe that it is risky because your heart could turn away from God and you won't repent anymore. Some peopleget old, sick, or injured and choose to repent. However, we could be killed instantly without a chance to repent.
Even when we have been baptized we must choose who we will serve. We could fall away and even come into unbelief. God does not force us to choose. God wants all of us to return home to him. God will forgive us if we ask Him. However, individuals have to ask for forgiveness and try to serve to the best of our ability.
    Respectfully. Your brother in Christ

      Dear The Minister Artist
I am not sure what point you are making. I assume that you agree with Christian theology that salvation comes by faith only, in the work of Jesus Christ, separate of you own efforts (works). Are you implying that salvation is maintained or retained (at least in part) by what we do (our works) ? If this is what you are trying to say, then this would not be a Scriptural understanding of the Christian doctrine of salvation. It appears that your understanding of soteriology may have some misconceptions.
Do genuine Christians sin ? Yes. If a Christian sins will he lose his salvation ? No, not under the Gospel endorsed by Scripture, because Scripture clearly teaches salvation is by faith, not by works. If you say one loses his salvation because of his behavior then your salvation is based upon faith plus works, which is not the Christian basis of genuine salvation. The faith plus works gospel, is one of the "different gospels" mentioned in Gal. 1.
Christians don't work and serve God, to become Christians (because all our good we do is not up to God's standards); we work and serve God because we are Christians.
You said, "Many people want to have enough of Jesus to be saved but still have fun with the devil." This description does not fit the Biblical description of a Christian, who is a new creation in Christ where the old has passed away and he is now indwelled and sealed by the Holy Spirit. If you see someone like you described, I would assume they were not a genuine Christian. Your perception of regeneration and Spiritual grow appears to be weak. They may have enough of Jesus to be Christianized into institutional Christianity, but not enough belief in God's grace through Jesus, to be a geniune Christian. There is a very significant difference between the two.
You mentioned, "We could fall away and even come into unbelief." I'm just curious; how would your statement be understood in the light of 1 John 2:19 ("They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us.")
Would you agree that people could verbally profess to be Christians, fellowship regularly with Christians and externally act and look like Christians, but not be genuine Christians; just very close Christian counterfeits. They are not genuine Christians and do not have the Holy Spirit indwelling them; they have never become a new creation in Christ, but are imitation Christians; and they may be convinced in their mind, they are Christians. When they leave (fall from grace/fall away), it appears that they have fallen away from Christianity and many would describe the situation as such. This scenario certainly explains a lot of the phenomena that we see.
Wish I could sit and talk with you. Many thanks for your consideration.
      DZ

I agree that we are saved by faith and accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Sin cannot make anyone lose their salvation. Works strengthens our faith and we can show our faithfulness through works. Works itself cannot save. I am simply saying that if someone chose to deny Christ after being saved that person chose to reject Christ. Christ calls us but he does not force us to stay with Him. Anyone who repents and asks for forgiveness will receive His grace and mercy.

Why so many believe they are saved by what they do instead of what Jesus has done for us.
Romans 11:6 It is all grace, not works, if it was by works, then it would not longer be grace, and if by grace, it is no more work. You can not mix law/works with grace. If you add one thing a person has to do to be saved, then it is all works and no grace. And no one can save themselves. We can only be saved. Romans 4:5-8 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
People who believe you can lose your salvation are trusting in their works, and not Jesus Finished work on the cross. They have never done the will of His Father.
Matthew 7:21-23 Many will come to me on that day and call me Lord, and tell me about all their good works. Jesus says, Depart from me ye that work iniquity, I never knew you.
Jesus tells us in verse 21 why these people believed they were saved, but they were lost..
They never did the will of His Father. What is the will of His Father? John 6:40 And this is the will of Him who sent me, that ALL that seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting life, and I will raise him up on the last day.
Salvation by works never works. We can only be saved by faith alone in Christ alone plus nothing. No works. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Free gift. No works.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace ye are saved, through FAITH, and that not of yourselves, (we did nothing for it) it is the GIFT of God, NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast.
Those boasters that told Jesus about all their good works, never said one thing about Him dying and paying their sin debt in full so that they would not have to go to hell to pay for their sins. They never believed Jesus paid it all and we paid 0. They never trusted in His AMAZING GRACE, they trusted in their own works to save themselves. Not what Jesus did for us.
John 6:29 Jesus, answered, and said unto them, this is the work of God, that ye BELIEVE ON THE ONE HE HAS SENT.
AMAZING GRACE, JESUS PAID IT ALL AND WE PAID 0. IT IS FREE, or not at all. Good works are fine, they just can not justify a sinner. Keeping Gods laws is good, it just can not save us.
John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me HATH EVERLASTING LIFE. No works, FREE GIFT. Our sin debt is paid in full and we can never be condemned again. John 3:18
Those that believe you can lose your salvation are trusting in what they do to save themselves and are not saved.

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. It is a gift of God; not of works, so that no one can boast
      1. Grace is God showing mercy on sinners
      2. Faith is putting your trust in what Christ did for us which is dying for our sins and his resurrection
      3. Gift: is eternal life. The reason it’s a gift because we actually deserve eternal death and separation but God has given us the gift of eternal life through Christ sacrifice
      4. Not of works ties in with the gift. We didn’t work for the gift of life. Christ gave it to us when we believe
      5. Boast- ties in with both the gift and not of works because we can’t boast on ourselves because we didn’t earn eternal life. Christ gave it to us when believed in His sacrifice
I hope this cleared up some confusion

We are called the children of God when we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Thereafter we became the children of God, but our place in God as children is only by adoption because of our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (see Galatians 4:5 & Ephesians 1:5). The Bible said that by nature, we (as Gentiles) are called children of wrath (Ephesians 2:3). We are only saved from God’s wrath when we believe in Jesus Christ, as we are now justified by faith because of his grace (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Eternal life does not begin in the present time. It begins at the resurrection (Titus 1:2). It is a false notion to suppose that eternal life ceases to continue, or that a person can loss it because, since it is eternal, that means it can never end. But it can only be eternal when it begins at the time it is given (at the resurrection), not before it is materialized. No believer in the present time has ever had eternal life yet. The Spirit only gave us *”the hope to eternal life”* (Titus 1:2). What believers have in the present time, when they believe in the Lord Jesus Christ is not eternal life, but *THE SPIRIT OF LIFE IN CHRIST.* (Romans 8:2)- and that implies a moral obligation of living a sanctified life before God to obtain the promised life. Proof that we do not have eternal life in the present time is: We can still die and get sick at any time. Adam lost his eternal life when he sinned against God. He died physically and spiritually. The second man borne after the Image of the Lord Jesus Christ will be changed from corruption to incorruption. As it is written-“This corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory”(1 Corinthians 15:53-54). And when shall this change happen? It will happen at the time of the resurrection, *WHEN* “the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed“(v.52).
There are two interpretations and conflicting views of eternal life possession- *THE PRESENT POSSESSION* and *THE FUTURE POSSESSION.* So, why does the Bible compliment eternal life as a present possession? Do you know?

Ok, Buddy, ( good channel, I respect what you are doing) I just started watching this video and had to comment at 1:42 already ( and I will continue to watch afterward). You preface your statement of "once saved always saved" by saying; " Once you become a GENUINE follower of Jesus Christ ". THAT is where the issue begins in my humble opinion. We need to all have the same definition of what is a "Genuine follower of Christ' . 2 John in verse 8 says " 8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.( end) Now, with that being said. Some people's experience in being saved involved nothing more than a guy asking someone " Are you saved?" and the person says " No". "Would you like to be"? " Yes". Then say this prayer and yahoo they are saved and they give it no thought ever again. To some, that is the experience that they have based their salvation on. That person may think that they are saved, but in reality, are they? Real salvation is when I fall to my knees and submit my will to the higher authority of God, telling him that I realize that on my own I have NO chance of salvation and that I accept the Blood of Christ to cover me and my sinful nature. Some people think that the prayer is like a magic spell or that God changes sin so it is not sinful anymore, FALSE. God changes the sinner and real faith is a faith that works and creates fruit. I am really studying this hard right now. We are surely saved by faith and the grace of the Lord but we do not still just wallow in our sins, we still wallow in sin because we have a sinful nature but we do not keep sinning ON PURPOSE and expect God to be happy with that can we? God made law and the penalty for breaking it was and IS death. So now when we become Christian we can break it with no consequence? Did Christ die so I could keep on sinning? This once saved always saved doctrine is a slippery slope. Every time I pray for clarity on these issues It seems God is telling me that the law is only dead for SALVATION. I will close with this my Friend and continue with the video, in Revelation when Jesus comes back, what does He find? It says He finds a one-world government, a one-world currency, an APOSTATE one world church and a remnant.. a remnant of His true believers that " Keep the commandments of God AND the faith of Jesus!

      (James 2:24)
“You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.”
Saying that we must be justified by works is NOT saying that we are “saving ourselves”. It just means that in addition to being a gift, eternal life is ALSO A REWARD(Romans 2:6-7). That’s what you Once Saved Always Saved folks don’t realize-it is a reward/gift at the same time.

      James 2:24
James 2:24 You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.

James continues to make the case that those who truly trust in God naturally end up participating in good works. As James showed in prior verses, no one can be saved by good works. Works are not required for salvation-they are a "symptom" of saving faith. In verse 22, he used the Greek word eteleiōthē to explain good works as the "completion," or the natural end result, of saving faith. James is urgently making the case that all those who are saved through faith by God's grace will participate in good works.

It is in that spirit that James writes that a person is "justified" by works and not by faith alone. In verse 21, James used the concept of "justification," which some see as a contradiction to Paul's use of "justification" in passages such as Romans 4. Here, it is common for a reader to assume a contradiction with Romans 3:28: "For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law."

It's important to remember two things, however. First, James is not claiming works are required for salvation. His entire argument has been about what kind of faith actually saves. He is on the attack against the attitude that one can be saved by a faith that has no works. He has stated repeatedly that such a faith is dead, useless. He is not saying that faith is not the means through which we receive God's grace; he is saying that a so-called-"faith" which results in no actions is not a genuine faith. A "works-less" faith cannot justify anyone.

The other thing that is important to remember is this: James has been consistent in upholding faith as necessary for salvation. This includes his quote in verse 23 that Abraham was counted as righteous for believing God.

Context is the key to all Bible study, and especially for resolving apparent contradictions. In Paul's writings, it is clear he is describing "justification" in the sense of salvation: being declared righteous by God. James, according to this context, is referring to "justification" in the sense of proof for human beings. Faith saves, says James, but "saving faith" cannot be a mere intellectual opinion, which produces no resulting actions.
      God bless

You equate “having to do anything at all” with “therefore we are earning or meriting our salvation by what we do”. That’s simply incorrect.
We can do things in response to the salvation offer, but that doesn’t merit or earn salvation, as salvation is freely offer to all men by god. Merited salvation is what Paul spoke against in Romans. Paul compares meritorious salvation by works, with by grace through faith unto obedience. Paul even goes as far as to tell us that we belong to whom we obey. He then tells us we have 2 options: 1) sow sin and reap death or 2) sow obedience in faith and reap imputes righteousness.
      Romans 6:15-16 KJV

Few false doctrines are more dangerous than the Calvinistic assertion of “eternal security” or “once saved, always saved.”
Sadly, this dangerous doctrine flatly contradicts Scripture, and it is commonly used as a smokescreen to justify sinful lifestyles. In other words, “once saved, always saved” appeals to the most carnal leanings of our humanity. It gives false legitimacy for sin, false comfort to sinners, and builds a pseudo-biblical barrier between countless sinners and repentance.
Let’s put it this way; nothing can force you to separate yourself from God except you. Satan can’t make you do it any more than he made Eve do it. Eve exercised her free will. Adam exercised his free will. And they both suffered the consequences of their actions. Sin separates us from a right relationship with God, but it does not remove us from the love of God. For example, “…(Romans 5:8).” God loves us even while we are in sin, but to say the cross made sin acceptable is to undermine the cross’s necessity in the first place completely. The phrasing shows Paul’s assumption that believers would naturally understand sinful lifestyles must be discarded after salvation. Furthermore, the apostle Peter calls us to follow in the footsteps of Jesus, (1 Peter 2:21-22).” A few verses down, he underscores that Jesus “(1 Peter 2:24-25).”
"...Go and sin NO MORE" (Jesus)
    James 4:4
You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.
Wrong understanding of Grace: "Grace gives you the freedom to sin."
Right understanding of Grace: "Grace gives you the power NOT to sin."
We don’t do good works to become saved, we do good works because we are saved.
OSAS is not Biblical. Please study your Bibles vs listen to man.

If, for instance, you continue to live a life of sin (and that of course, is only between you and God, yet can be highlighted by others in love), then I would say that possibility you were never saved to begin with. But even then, we are led into the dangerous territory of, ok so what is the bar? So if someone tells white lies as a 'Christian' and someone else is found to be continually cheating on their spouse as a 'Christian', then who is 'going to heaven'? By our standards, more likely the first person. By God's standards, none of them except if by Jesus which covers all sin, although yes we should still run from it. I pray that makes sense.

Jesus taught this in Matthew 18:23-35 when he tells the story of a guy who was forgiven of all of his debt but because he refused to forgiven his fellow servant then all of his forgiveness was revoked. We find the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant only in Matthew 18:23-35. The Apostle Peter had asked how many times one should forgive, "Till seven times?" and Jesus answered, "Not seven times but seventy times seven" (Matthew 18:21-22). The context of this passage is Jesus teaching His disciples about the "kingdom of heaven." We can take some very important principles from this parable and apply them to our lives today.
The servant whose lord forgave him much, ten thousand talents, equivalent to several millions of dollars, was unwilling to forgive another servant who owed him a hundred denarii. A denarius was a day’s wage and was worth approximately sixteen cents. Therefore, compared to what the first servant was forgiven, this was a very small amount. The principle here is, "the one forgiven much should forgive much." In other words, the principle of forgiveness is that grace or forgiveness to another is without limit. The disciples are not to count the number of times they forgive. Rather, as the parable teaches, they are to forgive much because God has forgiven much.
In the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant, Jesus is presenting a new principle that is similar to the basis of the forgiveness command for believers found in Ephesians 4:32, "And be ye kind to one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you." Jesus is teaching His disciples pre-cross, and therefore in the pre-church age, but the basis for forgiveness is the same. Because God has forgiven us, we are to forgive each other. Therefore, because we have received much grace, "while we were yet sinners Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8), we are commanded to give that same grace to others. In the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant, the first servant’s debt was forgiven, and he was not required to repay until his unforgiving nature was discovered. In contrast, our sin debt was paid in full by Christ and is the only basis for God’s forgiveness. We cannot repay our debt to God or earn our salvation. It is a gift of grace (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Therefore, in the Parable of the Unforgiving / Unmerciful / Unjust Servant, Jesus is teaching His disciples, and us by extension, that forgiveness should be in like proportion to the amount forgiven. The first servant had been forgiven all, and he then should have forgiven all. In like manner, a child of God by faith through Christ has had all sins forgiven. Therefore, when someone offends or sins against us we should be willing to forgive him from a heart of gratitude for the grace to which we ourselves are debtors.
So, yeah... once your saved.... your always saved. Stop preaching add-ons to salvation 😉

True Christianity teaches we don't work to attain salvation because salvation is not of works, but of faith (belief); we work because we have salvation, not to get salvation. Our works give external verification of our inward faith. No works, or lack of works, affects genuine salvation which is solely by faith.

    Thank you, thank you.
God used you to set me free from this false doctrine. I'm a baby Christian and in my first year as born again, I believe everything I heard from different pastors and preachers. One time there's a CZcamsr who says once save is always save is not true, so I believe him, because in his videos, everything seemed accurate. I'm afraid if I don't read my Bible heartily or if I do this and that, I'm doomed. I didn't know I'm living a legalistic life.
Thank you. I should never doubt Lord Jesus for my salvation.

Mr Parr is a false teacher.
He gives verses out of context to make his false teaching seem true.
and being made perfect he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him, (Heb 5:9)

We shouldn't live a legalistic Christian life but we are called to live as obedient Christian life. If we remain in Christ, we can be morally assured of our salvation but that salvation should never be taken for granted as we strive to work out our salvation in fear and trembling. Yes, God will always do His part but we, in our God given freewill, also have a part to play. Otherwise, like Calvinist say, there is no freewill after first coming to salvation.

The fact that he can literally blot names out of His book of life, tells me that, yes, you can lose your salvation. Oh, but once you’re saved, you’re always saved, doesn’t that just sounds so good? It almost sounds too good to be true 😂
