      English Standard Version

@@luiscortes313 I'm not Allen, but, I'd like to share this with you. Christians are not under the Law of Moses, therefore, we are not under any law to tithe. We are expected to give from our hearts. We are expected to support our Pastors, Preachers, Teachers, ect.. We are expected to give to the Church to keep it operating; paying electric, gas, water, ect., so we have a place to worship, fellowship, and learn the ways of God together as a family. Jews offered sacrifices that fed, and supported the Priests. The left overs were distributed to the poor. We do the same things but in different ways. Their laws are written on stones, ours are written on our hearts by the Holy Spirit that abides in us. I pray this helps you understand. Be blessed!!!

I really needed this video. I’ve been in the word like any other believer but I see so many CZcamsrs state their opinion on these topics & a wide variety of others. I started confusing my sinful nature for demons and I felt like my salvation was coming into question. I started to turn into a Pharisee and started pointing my finger at others instead of dealing with the log 🪵 inside of my eye. Also, I struggle with some strongholds and I started to let that define my salvation instead of what was done on the Cross. Thank you Allen for all your videos. People can be ardent in their views and consider opposing view as "close minded". In the culture I often hear people say that Christians are "close minded". But that really means since you do not agree with my point of view, then you have to be "close minded" (ie, something wrong with your thinking and conclusions)not to see my point of view. I do not think people are so much closed minded as much as they hold a different point of view. Ultimately that point of view my end up being right or wrong but it has nothing to do with a closed mind. People can be stubborn about their views and that can be good or bad depending on their views, but there is nothing wrong with being stubborn especially if you hold a correct view. Anyway, as you can see I have a thing about the term "Close Minded" Generally if I call some one "close minded" then I am being "close minded" about their views. It is similar to tolerance. The culture says that Christians are not tolerant of the cultures view. But please notice that they are not being tolerant of the Christian view. True tolerance (which no one practices) would entail tolerating Every Point of view. But that is not what happens in the culture. The culture wants you to embrace their point of view but will not accept your point of view. The thing is that they claim to be tolerant! So don't fall for the Tolerance trick from the culture. I think Christianity is pretty tolerant but its main focus is Truth. Christians do not promote everything the culture promotes. And the culture does not promote Christianity. Each side accepts some things and rejects other things. The culture promotes tolerance while not practicing it. Thanks for you post and I pray you bear with my rant! God Bless.

Thank you Allen. I found myself thrown into deliverance ministry. When it occurred I realised that I had seen a “ghost”, when I was 9 years old. When we left that depressing house my father told me of what he had seen but worse still we had tenants at one time and their little boy was found virtually dead by the coal fire. He was rushed to the emergency room and spent time in hospital. He could do nothing for himself. He was only 2. Being Roman Catholics we had our priest come in and bless the house and although we could feel something was wrong, the priest could not get rid of it. The next time deliverance occurred I was an adult now living in South Africa where witchcraft, ancestor worship are frequently mixed with so called Christianity. I was blessed to be at a church who sent a man to our home and the demon took 3 days to get rid of. I’m not going into details other than we had been to Egypt a couple of years before and purchased a beautiful painting called “The River of Life”. None of the Egyptian Gods were in it. It was the Nile with fish, flowers, 😅birds and finished with Gold. This dear man took one look at it and told me to get it off the wall. As I got up on the sofa it came off the wall at me and removed plaster from the wall. That was a eye opener. Now at 72 I’m in a wheelchair most of the time, so no climbing on sofas. Since then I have been used in the deliverance ministry as God wills and since I’ve been in the wheelchair also. I fully agree with you that this is a specific calling on your life and have taught new Christians, that you have to know who you are in Jesus Christ. Do not get involved unless God calls you. Paul tells of the sons of Shiver who thought they could get rid of demons and the demons said Jesus we know, Paul we know, who are you? They were beaten by the demons and their clothes ripped. Bless you brother for all you do and your family also. Love from Johannesburg South Africa 🙏🙏🙏✝️✝️✝️😇😇😇🥰

    • @jjphank
      @jjphank Před rokem

Predestination only deals with groups, never individuals; God wants all men to be saved first Timothy 2:4, second peter 3:9!
God, predestines groups or plurals only, never individuals. Ephesians 1 -2 points: “ us and we” are pre-destined never “you and I“! And 11 times in 11 verses from 3-14 you have to remain “in Christ“ (in him, in whom) to be predestined!
Romans 9:1-3 Paul is talking about the nation of Israel, all the way to the end of chapter 11 ! So, “Jacob, I loved, Esau I hated“ is genesis 25:23 “there are two nations in your womb“! It’s talking about ‘Nations,’ not individuals in the whole context of those three chapters! Stop taking it out of context, along with Ephesians 1!
Of course, we have the story of Jacob and Esau and how Esau despised his birthright !
So God truly does love all people, he truly did make hell for the devil and his angels just as Matthew 25:41 says !
Even the 42 youths, mauled by the 2 bears, was because they mocked Elijah‘s rapture, a.k.a. the resurrection , they were saying “go on up Baldy “ ; and ALL their prophets just recently Were killed by Elijah and they should’ve known to stop worshiping Baal! Bethel was the headquarters of Baal worship, where this took place! 490 priests got killed by Elijah, There was no Priests around,; should’ve been a gigantic clue.
So God never arbitrarily and haphazardly deals with any human being ! His love cannot be measured says Romans 8!
But if you’re a Calvinists it’s “his love cannot be measured , (Wink, wink)“!
Come out of the false belief system of Calvinism ! Now you have no excuse because you cannot out argue this, let’s hear you try!
Read Matthew 25 the parable of the Calvinists, a.k.a. talents ! Where the guy buried his talent calling God,- somebody who doesn’t judge rightly & he was thrown into hell as a result! He had the wrong view of God, & So Will a Calvinist, they’ll have a callous view of God & The love of Christs sacrificial death on the cross!

Many peoples problems with this subject comes from bad physics. It is clear that God gave all so his creation free-will. He sits outside of his creation and knows the beginning and the end. God knows which sin you are going to commit next Thursday. He has seen your entire life and death and knows all the choices you have made and will make in the future. To the best of our knowledge, God’s creations have always had choice built in.

We need to distinguish "arguing" from discussing. I hope every believer feels the freedom to discuss their perspective and commend it to the conscience of others according to Scripture along with what we see as the strength of our view and the weakness and risks of opposing views. The harm comes when we make these honest differences of interpretation into reasons to cast aspersions or make accusations or demand "repentance" from those with differing views. This is where an honest discussion among brothers turns into argument and division.

@@jesusprofessor314 I think that I did not explain myself well enough. Which I suppose goes to prove my point.
I am sure that I didn’t say anything about avoiding biblical subject matters. I hoped that when I said that this and places like this, were not the forum to do so, people would have understood that I was advocating face to face biblical discussions.
Many times I have come across people slamming their points of views without due care or attention to à counterpoint view, with or without supporting scripture.
Nothing is gained. Tempers flare. Antagonism arises. No one ‘wins’.
I’m sorry if I didn’t make that clear. Yes we will have our minds changed by digging into the Bible, rather than digging into each other.

    • @caroleceres
      @caroleceres Před rokem

As an addendum: Jesus, Paul and the original Apostles were not strangers. We all know who they are, we quote them! We are assured that they were of God, washed by The Holy Spirit. They were well known people in their time.
You have no idea who I am, nor I you! We would have to learn from the Bereans and search the scriptures to verify anything that the other said to us. Then if we wanted to follow up or clarify, there’s little opportunity to do so.
That also is my point. These social media platforms do not necessarily lend themselves to that, because some people use them with the wrong motives/mindset.

Allen, thanks so much for this video, especially the perspective on deliverance ministry and demonic possession.
I had gotten caught up into this for a brief moment a few weeks ago. After listening to a friend who is into deliverance ministry and listening to a few videos by a popular YT prophetess, I was convinced the mental turmoil I was experiencing was being caused by demonic influence /spirit in my life. I bought this book called Deliverance from demonic Possession and Curses written by a Nigerian Pastor.
I only read about 10-15 pages and immediately was stricken with the worst anxiety I had felt in years. I was borderline hallucinating. I got rid of the book repented.
I prayed and God revealed this very same thing to me. I cannot be possessed with a demonic spirit and also be saved and filled with the Holy Spirit. The two cannot coexist.
We wrestle against principalities but they don’t possess us as believers. I still communicate with my friend but I do realize that that path can be very perilous and can cause some real damage to one’s spiritual life.

I had a pastor once say "the 5% of things that separate are really not as important as the 95% of things that bind us."
    Re: Predestination/Free Will:
I always just believed that we are all presented with the the Truth of Salvation & it was up to each person to accept or despise it. But the Predestination part was that God knew, from the very beginning of time, who would accept his Gift and on them he built His Plans.
Does that make sense? Is it a cop-out or naïve?

    • @sidwhiting665
      @sidwhiting665 Před rokem +7

That's a good take on it. I'm not 100% sure on how the free will vs. predestination part works, but I do trust it when God says some of saved and some are not... that this is true. And it's not his fault if someone rejects him. It seems to fly in the face of logic, which is pretty much true of many things in the Bible, so why should this one be any different? It flies in the face of logic that God would send his Son to save us in the first place.... so if I'm willing to believe that, then predestination shouldn't be too hard to believe either.
      .
The best analogy I thought of once was a father who leaves his son a great inheritance (that's the predestination/gift of salvation), but for whatever reason the son either doesn't believe it exists (atheism) or the son refuses it and pridefully goes his own way (all other reasons for rejection). The gift was there, it was given, it was in his name... but it does him no good and he has only himself to blame.
      .
Not perfect by a long stretch, but as close as I could come up with in my poor attempt to think about it.

I disagree (respectfully) on both points.
The pastor’s error is putting every issue on the same level. But errors are divided between ‘heresy’ that costs salvation and ‘heterodox’ that doesn’t.
For examples, believing snake handling is heterodox, but believing you have to be symptom-free after being bitten by a water moccasin to be saved is heresy.
Sinners only need one heresy to remain damned, and the other 99% is irrelevant. Focusing on what’s shared is a path to peace, but there’s a reason God calls His Word a Sword.
Second point: When God looked forward across the ages, He saw Romans 3:11 and 1 Corinthians 2:14. Sin destined us to hell; God’s plan re-destines some to heaven. I give Calvinism a score of 65%, but Arminianism gets a score of only 35%.

On your take, I’d almost agree brother. I would say, yes, God knew from the beginning and on them he built his plan. To that, I would add a little more “It’s God” without no less taking away we have to receive. I know it’s somewhat confusing but it’s part of the mystery, which is it’s Him and we have to receive in the context of our lives. Either way, stay blessed brother.

It is my understanding that the apostles speaking in “tongues” meant only that when they preached in they’re own native language, anyone listening to them heard the words in their own language, no matter where they were from. As for the predestination/free will, I look at like this: If I tell a room of thirty 1st graders, none of which have any food allergies, that they can have a bowl of ice cream or a bowl of broccoli, but I can only bring 30 pre-selected bowls, I'm not bringing broccoli. I believe that God knows our hearts before we are ever conceived, and He knows if we want ice cream or broccoli. We are free to choose, but He already knows the choice.

I agree, but I think there’s more to it than just that. I believe our sin nature prevents us from freely choosing God; our natural inclination is to reject Him. We only gain the ability to freely choose Him once He has worked on our hearts and minds to enable us to truly hear and understand the gospel. He unlocks the door, freeing our will, then we have to accept and step through. He chooses to reveal Himself to some and not to others. Predestination vs free will isn’t an either/or situation, it’s both. He knows who will choose Him, and reveals Himself accordingly.

@@TodaysDante Allen never claimed we should not debate these things, but rather that we should not argue dvisively about them. Churches so often are split and torn apart by disagreements over non-salvation issues like the ones he mentioned in this video, and that is the point he is making. Non-essential means that your viewpoint on the subject will not affect your salvation. You are still saved through faith even if you believe that Scripture does/does not prohibit women from being teachers in the church, or that listening to certain songs is/is not okay, or that predestination is/is not scriptural. The Bible teaches us what is fundamentally required in order to be saved, and then tells us not to split or be divisive over things that are uncertain, or that are "gray" areas. Hello, I found this channel thanks to Dr. Turek's podcast I don't have enough faith to be an atheist, and this is the first video I watched. And though I know a few things about how it is in the USA, well... These issues or doctrines are very interesting and say a lot about your culture and society, and it was very informative and well done.
I'm not from the USA. I'm from Slovakia, that's central Europe. I belong to Slovak Lutheran church, which is very traditional. It's older than your country, it was established in 1610. Luther's teachings had actually arrived and been taught since 1520, and first confession (basically first attempt of creating new church) from my region was actually way back in 1549 (Confessio Pentapolitana). After 4 and half centuries, filled with lots of trials and tribulations, our church learnt to hold onto our Bible and refuse everything else.
One thing before I continue: Slovakia is small. As in, a little bit bigger than Mississippi state in size, but only 5,5 mil. people live here, and only 5,27% of Slovak population is a Lutheran. Everyone with Lutheran confession is in Slovak Lutheran church, but we have small local congregations with a few hundreds up to a few thousands people. My local congregation has around 770 people, but we belong to Slovak Lutheran church. We have one state bishop, two bishops for West and East part of Slovakia, and senior pastors for 8 regions of Slovakia. Every local church has a local pastor, or two, or maybe more (if there are more people, or it's a town with a senior pastor).
Our standing on these 7 doctrines you talked about (since you asked about our beliefs, hopefully it will interest you):
    1. Women pastors - since 1920 we have our own Slovak Lutheran church (it had to do with establishment of Czechoslovakia after WW1) we have women pastors. In my home congregation, we actually have a married pair of pastors, the husband is the main pastor and his wife is an additional pastor. There are more such pairs in our church. However, we have single women pastors who lead their congregations on their own. Also, we have women pastors in position of senior pastors. As far as I can tell (from talking to those that I know personally), none of the women pastors wanted authority or whatever, it is all part of their service to God. That's it. True, I only know 5 or 6 women pastors personally, but there are more men than women pastors anyway.
To be honest, it is true that single women pastors have it harder, and not all of them remain in the service.
    2. Spiritual gifts - that was a big issue among young people in church when a charismatic church came to Košice, our nearest town with a senior pastor. I personally was told by some of my friends from school that if I don't speak in tongues, I'm not saved and/or don't have the Holy Spirit in me. It affected our youth group a lot, but now it's fine. Unfortunately, quite a few of my friends have left our church because of that. Another big issue was the question of baptism - in our church babies are baptized, but some people from Baptist church who came to Košice said that it doesn't count. Even more friends left our youth group because of that.
    3. Christians and demons - this is just in your country, nothing about it here.
    4. Modern Christian music - we translate a LOT of American songs, and usually nobody even cares who is this or that song from. We also have our Slovak Christian singers and bands, and I like their music, too. But... once again, this is not our problem in the way you described.
    5. Tithing - my first thought was: What is he talking about??? Honestly? Only after a couple of minutes I understood. In our church, we have a tax we pay that is non-negotiable (we have to pay it - is it correct word?) and every Sunday we give offerings that are completely free, up to us how much we give. I have a small role in this - I help with counting the small offerings after every Sunday in our local church (by "church" here I mean the building where we have services), and I can witness that some people give 50 cents, some 2 euros, some 10 euros per Sunday. We don't know who gives how much, we just count how much is for a Sunday, write it into the book and our church cash-keeper takes it to the bank. Bigger offerings are usually connected with anniversaries in family (birthdays, weddings, death anniversaries etc.).
    6. End-time events - not an issue or a doctrine even here. Lord Jesus will come, there will be suffering and trials, than there will be new heaven and new earth. What will happen when - well, we will see, it is in the future and it's interesting to talk about, but arguing is pointless, because nobody knows. Pre-mil? Post-mil? What was the other one? No idea, not discussed in our church.
    7. Predestination vs. Free will - according to Bible, and to Luther, salvation is free gift to sinners who cannot do anything to deserve or add to it. We can only accept it as God's gift, for so He loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so we would have eternal life (I apologize, I don't remember John 3,16 word-to-word in English). We are not Calvinists in saying God has chosen someone and condemned someone else before we were born, everyone has a free choice to accept because Jesus died for everyone. So, I guess we are against predestination in that sense. There is a possibility something was lost in translation between English and Slovak, because we don't believe that Free will = we do something for our salvation or add something to God's work of salvation, it's Jesus who did everything needed. I will listen to your video about it to understand your belief better. As it is, my grandmother was a Calvinist who after marriage became a member of her husband's congregation, and my friend, a Lutheran pastor, is married to a Calvinist pastor (but they are not in service anywhere right now, they lost their teenage son last year and needed time to get better, they were devastated, both mother and father). So, Lutheran and Calvinist churches in Slovakia are very close, we maintain our beliefs, but work together. Maybe because there are so few of us compared to Roman Catholics (over 60% of population)...
Wow. Sorry if I wrote more than is acceptable. Not sure if you're going to read it... Anyway, God bless your work and let Holy Spirit lead you!

With that said, I'll say as an overall viewer, your videos have been very beneficial to my growth in terms of life and theology. I may not agree with every single thing, but we are brothers in the faith nonetheless and I appreciate your faithfulness to consistent posting. Now, here's just another perspective based on this video overall:
I don't think the 'arguments' over these 7 controversial topics/doctrines will cease for one GOOD reason. There are still souls being added to the Church daily. There will always be baby Christians who have questions and they're learning. As believers, we have a responsibility to make new believers aware of these 7 things. I didn't say teach them to believe what we believe, but simply to make them aware of the many different positions according to these doctrines. Inevitably, this would invite more questions and cause them to do more research. I think this is actually a good thing. As long as we're not breeding heretics, then I think there is a healthy form of debate that can lead to fruitful living at the end of the day.
Great video! I'm just giving this perspective. Thanks so much and everyone be blessed!

I do think the issue of women pastor is one of the more important issues. We can disagree over free will and baptism without leading the church into sin, as both sides of these arguments have convincing scriptural arguments and historical precedent. The Church had the same position on women pastors for 95% of church history and the scriptures are clear here, going against scripture in this issue leads the church into more than just difference in interpretation, but into the Church not operating as God designed it. True believers can believe women can be pastors and be saved, but the Word is clear how the Church is to function and we have to stand on God’s Word.

There is no scriptural case against baptism. Christ stated multiple times in very clear terms that baptism is a must(Jhn 3, Matt. 28). Paul even states in Heb. 6:1-2 that baptism is a basic tenet of biblical Christianity. The ppl who argue against baptism do so because they are dishonest ppl. I am kind of unsure about the worship thing. I started listening to elevations sermons after a long time of listening to their songs. At first I agreed with what I heard because I had never encountered wrong teaching before. But after a while I realised that some things don’t add up, so I started reading along in my bible and fact-checking with it. This experience led me to realise that elevation church’s teachings are wrong and I started researching more about that topic which also led to churches like you said - hill song, bethel etc.
BUT this made me start to be way more discerning when it comes to any sermon or teaching and I started my general bible-reading journey. So it definitely had a big positive impact on my life and my relationship with God after all.
I still listen to and sing many of their songs (I’m a worship singer) because they have a lot of biblical truths in them but I am not sure if that’s the correct approach because there is no guarantee that every person in the congregation who looks at those churches will be able to discern what’s right and what isn’t.

And now I go to another church where he says we don’t take offering you give what you want to give that’s between you and God. Thank you for giving these prospectives.

When it comes to tithing or grace-giving, are you talking about only giving at church, or is giving outside of a church environment included as well? Maybe a dumb question, but I'm genuinely curious. I watched that part several times and couldn't really determine if it was only a church thing or anytime/anywhere kind of thing.

You should give as the Holy Spirit leads you to give whether in the church or outside the church. Giving directly to a family or organization that is in need of help, and as you are being led to do so, I believe is every bit as “spiritual” as dropping money into the church coffers. The key is to be obedient to the spirit.

Brother Parr, here’s the Biblical position on Spiritual Gifts. All of the gifts are still in operation today. As you said, God does NOT change. However, all of the spiritual gifts are not acts that people just carry around. The Bible is clear in saying that these gifts are given as the Spirit gives them. You see healing as the Spirit heals. You see tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance. We don’t carry these gifts around. God uses us in these gift when he sees fit. Hopefully this makes sense.

The main defense for the continuationist perspective is that God is unchanging. That fact doesn’t really make sense, as God has changed in some ways many times.
God did not release the Holy Spirit onto the earth until Pentecost. Is that a change?
God also did not even place these gifts into existence until after Jesus’ death. Is that a change?
Jesus was in Heaven at the right hand of God, and transformed himself into a human as a sacrifice for our sins. Is that a change?
The answer to all is yes; God changes through progression. The fundamentals of God cannot logistically change. He is the standard, He is all that is good, He is the master of all. But He certainly can progress the earth and all mechanisms in it to further His creation and His church.
The spiritual gifts were used as signs of authority before we had the completed scriptures. The church is not in its infancy anymore. God bless

@@MasonStPeter-oe8tuWhen we say that God doesn't change, we mean that God HIMSELF doesn't change. When God acts upon the world, that is not God changing His nature, but simply adding, taking away from, or changing His creation.
In addition, Jesus always was and did not TRANSFORM into a man, but took on a Human nature IN ADDITION to His Divine nature. That is not to say that He changed, but rather became God incarnate. Jesus, though, always existed and has never changed (And this is why he shows up earlier in the Bible).
That being said, since scripture does not speak about the cessation of gifts, I do not believe that they have ceased.

I was listening until we got to number one then I had to stop the video real quick . I like that allen spoke about all these this in the video and I do believe that Christians shouldn't arguing out of anger , malice and or spite with each other because it does break fellowship with each other. GOD wants us all to be loving, kind, joyful, peaceful, and patient with each other and all times we should be practicing self control and bring gentle about it too whether we agree or not .
I will never say the words " let's agree to disagree" because I don't agree with " lordship salvation"/ calvanistic teaching at all.
First and foremost it's imperative that we are not taking Scripture out of context.
What GOD says is The Truth it is The Truth The Bible never lies
I understand if people debate in rightly dividing The Word of Truth and for example one might say that it is KJV only but I may disagree.
But then you have something like Free Grace and " lordship" salvationist
This is where I draw the line because I still Stand for The Truth and The True Gospel of Jesus Christ.
This topic is so important it can cause a person's soul to be impacted forever. For all eternity.
From damning heresy like lordship/ calvanistic teaching and beliefs .
The teachings of lordship salvation is so dangerous that if one believes in "works for Salvation" or add works to THE POWERFUL PRECIOUS INNOCENT BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST basically what they're saying is that our Lord Jesus Christ's Blood isn't sufficient enough so they have to use human effort and their own merits to save themselves from eternal damnation. lordship salvation is a lie from hell and should be avoided at all times.
No one is Saved from hell by working for their own Salvation.
Paul spoke strongly against this in Galatians chapter 3 where it starts off with " o foolish galatians who has bewitched you" ? Please read the whole chapter please.
We must only stand on The Word of GOD and not let man's understanding and philosophies persuade us other wise.
john mcArthur who is a lordship salvationist and calvinistic pastor and paul washer who both believe you can lose your Salvation, or need evidence of it or you have to be " pre-elected"
    by GOD .
This is very dangerous doctrine and this supports a false gospel because they believe you're saved by works and not by GOD'S Grace .
The Bible says that we are Saved by Grace through faith in Christ Alone nothing more nothing less ❤️🙏
The Bible says that Salvation is a Free GIFT from GOD and not earned by man through works lest any man should boast.
We must remember that the Salvific Power for Salvation does not come from man but ONLY JESUS CHRIST / HIS PRECIOUS INNOCENT POWERFUL BLOOD. Not man .
Jesus says that no man is good no not one Only GOD is GOOD.
to believe or imply that you can save your own self from death/ hell and just like the pharisees you have your own" righteousness" basically you are saying that you are good enough to save yourself from eternal damnation and you are saying you have no sin so that makes you a liar which The Bible says and you deceive yourself and you are calling GOD a liar which GOD CANNOT LIE EVER.
Faith comes from just by Believing in what Jesus Christ did for us on that Cross and believing who He say He is and What He has done for all our sins .
Jesus Christ died for the sins of the whole world. Not just few " pre elected "
To imply that Jesus Christ only died for a few people is calling John 3:16 a lie and GOD'S WORD doesn't lies Ever .
John 3:16 says this " For GOD so Love the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son (Jesus Christ) that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life" .
For GOD so Love the ( World ) it says world.
There is so much in Scripture that supports Free Grace and not " lordship salvation" or " calvinistic teaching"
I see pastors like paul washer and john mcArthur preaching false doctrine and preaches a different gospel other than the one in the Bible.
especially with allen parr I didn't know he taught on this til recent and I unsubscribed because of this view he has that can send the lost to hell and send baby Christians into spiritual bondage.
Once someone places their faith in Jesus Christ for Salvation Alone is saved and is sealed with The Holy Spirit until the Day of Redemption.
    We cannot lose our Salvation.
    Once saved always saved
No one can say that they can tell if a person is saved or not by their works/ or fruit check someone
We can only go by what they believe and who the put their trust in this will show whether they truly believe in Jesus Christ or not .
In the book of Acts it says that" sirs what must I do to be saved" and the response was " believe on The Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved and your house"
Period nothing more nothing less just simply believe in Jesus Christ to be Saved .
That is the simplicity of The Gospel of Jesus Christ.
    Is to believe.
Even a child can be saved and understand you can't say to a child that " you are not going to Heaven because you didn't do enough works through out your life " smh no this is wrong if that child place their faith in Jesus Christ then they are saved. Let's say that this precious child is sick with cancer and only have a few days to live and they believe in Jesus Christ for their Salvation. Where would they go when they pass away . The answer is Heaven.
For the wages of sin is death . No man can save themselves from hell all of was born separated from GOD and we all fall short of The Glory of GOD.
No man is perfect but GOD.
Let GOD be The Truth and let every man be a liar.
Jesus Christ was a perfect sacrifice for man because Jesus is blameless, perfect and sinless . He know no sin but died a death like a theif on a cross He was tortured for our sins . He is The Only Way Jesus says I am The Way The Truth and The Life No one goes to The Father in Heaven except through Him. Jesus Christ
LET ALL POWER GLORY HONOR PRAISE AND THANKS BE TO THE ALMIGHTY SOVEREIGN LIVING TRIUNE GOD IN HEAVEN FOREVER AND EVER AND ALWAYS IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME AMEN HALLELUJAH ❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️

Very true and well stated.. All people need to hear the gospel we want all to go to Heaven . God is sovereign and knows all but that doesn't mean we are puppets.. From Gen. On we see that we choose. He choose all of is to die for the whole world That is truth. Everytime an elected person os preached about( example.. Paul we love was probably elected..for his very. Very important mission, that doesn't everyone was. Jacob used also.. well He was extremely important in the Bible.. God used these these people in HuGe ways... So some yes maybe elected but we can't preach that he didn't die for alll. He knows alll but we get to chose by Faith when we hear the word and fall underconviction. To preach or teach anything else is a very dangerous thing to do when our Savior died once on the cross to take away the sins if the entire world... Before and after ... all people... Praise HIM

I agree with you on everything except your #1 issue...calvinism...I believe calvinism is a dangerous theology...I personally struggled with the concept (to the point of depression) for a long time and became discouraged, disappointed and felt hopeless with the idea that God would choose some over others for salvation when the bible clearly says that he loves everyone and that Jesus came so that all would come to repentance and none would be lost...I personally believe that the Holy Spirit draws all to salvation but that it's everyone's choice to either believe or not believe. Without that choice all you end up with are God chosen puppets that are simply doing what they've been pre-programmed to do.. (In a robot voice...I LOVE GOD NOT BECAUSE I CHOOSE TO LOVE GOD, BUT THAT I'VE BEEN PROGRAMMED TO LOVE GOD.) Do you really believe that God would want nothing more than pre-programmed puppets to love him in return. Not to mention, how can God hold accountable for their sin people who had no choice in being a sinner and people who had no ability to choose Jesus as their substitute for their sin. Makes no sense. Calvinism makes those that He "chose" prideful and arrogant

I understand where you're coming from and this is something I struggled to figure out as well when I was considering the theology of predestination. I definitely had to acknowledge based on certain passages of Scripture that predestination was a thing, biblically supported, but I wasn't sure what it actually meant. The conclusion I have come to -- and I make no claim that it is absolutely true, but it makes sense to me so I wanted to share -- is that if we believe that God is all-knowing, then that means He already knew before we were even created who would accept Him and who would reject Him. We're not robots who were arbitrarily chosen by God, like He was looking out over creation and saying, "I'll take that one...and that one...but not that one..." To me, it is just that He was already aware of what choices we would make. Still our choice, but He foreknew it. And that makes sense, because He is all-knowing, and knows the future. I don't feel like His knowledge of what choices I am going to make means that I don't have free will to choose, it just means that He knows me better than I know myself. Since He knew I would accept Him, He came after me, orchestrating the events in my life that He knew would lead me to Him. In that way I was predestined for salvation, but this did not interfere with my free will, in my mind. I don't know if that makes sense, if it helps, or even if my viewpoint is accurate, but those are my thoughts! (Feel free to chime in, Allen, I'd love to hear your viewpoint! 😆)

Completely agree. And you can still believe in eternal security. And God’s foreknowledge without Calvin’s predestination and limited atonement. Or God decreeing the evil in the world. Evil is due to sin and God uses it for good He does not decree it. God desires that all would be saved. Calvinism leads to more people walking away from the faith of their youth than any other doctrine in my opinion. And then the Calvinists say they were never saved. Well maybe they just really finally understood the ugly picture of God that you painted.
The only alternative to Calvinism is not works based salvation either. It’s just free will choice. Choice is not a work. Faith is not a work. Picking a team is not a work. It’s just picking a team. God knew you would pick His team, but you still made the decision yourself.

A Church I once attended gave me the best answer in regards to speaking in tongues.
One of the Decans came and visited me at my home. I began asking him questions about the Church, and so I asked how the Church felt about speaking in tongues.
I already believed in speaking in tongues, so I was feeling the Church out. His answer was golden.
He said the Church does believe in speaking in tongues. However they believed in two forms of the practice.
The first was to be done in private. They discouraged this form in Church. This was to be done at home in private. The verse that backs this up is the line about the Holly Spirit will pray in groans and grumbling that can't be expressed in words. (Romans 8 verse 26 through 28.
The second form of tongues was prophesying in tongues. This was encouraged in Church, however if you do that, there would be an interpreter provided by holly spirit. So no one would be attempting to just be an attention seaker.
So in this case I believe he is wrong. Praying in tongues is an act of faith, and you are praying through the Holly Spirit and this is a way to pray when you don't know what to pray for.

Augustine would be the presuppositional perspective that is the ground work for Calvinistic theology.
“Augustine is so wholly within me that I could write my entire theology out of his writings.”
A Treatise on the Eternal Predestination of God - Calvins Calvanism P.38
Augustine imposed a framework that derives from neo-platonism, Gnosticism, stoicism, and manicheaism.
Seek that foundation to seek the err.

@@ServantofGOD__ Calvin was not gnostic. His synthesis of scripture into five doctrinal points are the antithesis of Gnosticism. The Arminian beliefs which counter all five points reduce Who God is. My God is Creator, Sustainer, All Powerful, Righteous, Holy and Loving. He provided a way for me and anyone whom He opened their eyes to their broken, sinful condition to be reconciled to Him by the shed blood and merits of Jesus Christ- His only begotten Son. It is nothing that I have done. There is nothing within me that spurred this on, only His transforming power. As the scripture says I am now a new creature/person. He continues to grow me daily to be more like Him. He brings out those fruit of the Spirit- love, joy, peace..

@@dlsdyer9071with grace you seem to be missing the primary point.
      Augustine so heavily influenced Calvin.
Arminianism has nothing to do with the framework and foundation. This is simply a red herring that deals with differing perspectives during Calvin’s time.
I highly encourage you to dig deep on ante-nicean fathers prior to Augustine.
Then dig deep on Augustine and you will see where the five points of Calvinism derive from.
Focus on the foundation of the framework.
      With grace and love.

I'm a pentecostal and disagree with a lot if your takes on the gifts. But I also recognise the way God has powerfully used you to reach so many, so admire your love and knowledge of Scripture and appreciate the way you take such a firm stand for the truth and purity. You also don't bash people like me in the way some "discernment" ministers do. God bless you brother!
