Robert Lindsey's account ("The Falcon and the Snowman) details well the intentional damage done by Chris Boyce. He betrayed this country out of hatred for the US, CIA, etc. Eventually, the true rot of Boyce is uncovered: He blames everyone except himself--the CIA, the government, etc., and he betrays everyone--his country, his employer for being too lax on security, he lies about his childhood friend Dalton Lee by claiming Lee blackmailed him into selling the Tops Secrets to the KGB. He escaped during prison and robbed banks, further displaying his rotten character.
Boyce loved the attention: his grandstanding before the judge at his sentencing, before congress, and it continues even now. Boyce betrayed his country, his employer, his parents, and himself most of all. Ignore him, do not buy his book, do not allow him to betray you.
