    THANKS for the review! MagLites are dang tough and awesome! I guess they have improved them since yours was made because mine has 230 lumens...

    Thanks for a good review of the details on the press-and-hold feature that is on each function.

    I bought the maglite XL 200 back in 2011 I still have it it is a very good light but it has a very big learning curve because of all the things that this light does 172 lumens may not be a lot for most people but for me it's perfect I've had this light on camping trips severe power outages even while working it's a good light for every day carry and I recommend it

    Thanks for showing the twist turns to dim. I was confusing the zzzz with getting to moonlight but was frustrated when it didn’t stay there. You’ve just taken this light to the level of appreciation it deserves for me!!!

    I had one like it many years ago but I believe that was a xl100 that was a tricky one to use ! It had that sleep mode and state of the art back then? A price to match as well! I don't know what happened to it .mine was black with a red switch rubber!

    Good review. About the lumens. You're showing why lux is just as if not more important than overall lumens. A good tight beam looks brighter with the intense hotspot. Makes a huge difference

    Sorry mate but what is PWM ?

      @300bhpton  Před 2 lety +1

      PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) is a very common method of dimming LED lights that works by very rapidly turning them on and off (pulsing) for periods that visually appear as a steady dimmed light. We adjust the brightness level by adjusting the percentage of the time the lights are on (100%) to the time they are off (0%). Basically it can cause a strobing/flickering effect at certain frequencies, that some people are more sensitive too.

    Mag focuses on what actually matters: lights that actually last, usable light, and battery life. I'm loyal to them and Princeton Tec, as long as they keep making stuff in the USA.
