Sometimes I mention Chris to people and they have heard about him. They ask what kind of music does he play. I'm always stumped. I say sort of folky blues or bluesy folk but that does really cover. I tell them to just go and listen to him. The greatest thing about Chris's music is that he's just Chris.
I was lucky enough to get to a performance Chris gave in Adelaide a few years back. Absolutely loved his work then and still. Fabulous, authentic and so so observant of life.
of course it's a recording, but not in the ordinary sense. seriously, he embodies a smoothe New Englannd routed gentleman to the West Coast to lay or sprinkle the occasional apple seeds to complete the orchestra.

One of the best singer songwriters. Saw him once in Britain where he was excellent. This is a great song. Long may he continue.
