    The knobs on the front wheel wear more on the back side due to the braking. The front side of the knob just rolls over the ground but the back side bites in when you brake which causes it to wear more.

    All cast metal usually breaks a before it bends. I work on golf clubs and bending cast heads is a real risk and it’s hard they usually move very little or just break. Nice forged irons are easy to bend and have to be checked especially if the player drives through the ball into ground a lot. Either way they should be checked once in awhile.

    One of my big reds is so bent the front wheel sits 3 inches to the right of a centerline straight machine and it rides very stable especially at high speed and it had bad neck bearings with bent rear wheels. It slightly pulls left at a consistent rate at low speeds and never had a wobble or even death wobble. It looked immediately from the clips in tue intro to be front wheel related my guess would've been front wheel bearings. It being a isnt the worst but its more than a bearing set. At least the customer wanted it changed anyway so they weren't out more.

    I put new front tire on my 200x and it still does it some but I can still run top speed on pavement and not be worried. Mechanics know process of making proper diagnosis. Glorified parts changers keep throwing parts at something until either the customer or they’re out of money or they get lucky and fix it and if not it goes to a real mechanic who changes a 10 cent fuse to fix it😂

    You talked about the wear of the tire and how it looks on the lugs of the tire and how they're wearing weird, it's just a thought, but if that tire was used before and put on the Wheel the wrong way meaning for part of it's life it was going one way and now it's going the other way, that could have something to do with it. If that makes sense especially if they hit something hard with that font tire and it's got a bit of a hump or a wobble to it side to side when that tire comes around and off that hump if it's got a bit of wobble to it, may jerk the handle bars out of your hands that just my thought on it. One way to see if that's the problem lower the tire pressure in the front tire and go ride it, make sure it's lower than it should be, but not flat. I'm just throwing something out there.

    • @mrcbuilds
      @mrcbuilds  Před 10 měsíci +2

      Its very possible the tire was mounted the other direction. I think it jas set and developed a flat spot and that is what may have caused the issue. But its just a guess.

    Good diagnosis brotha! Just to say that rim looked slightly bent as well....? Hard to from watching it on screen. But just a heads up. 👍

      Most definitely! And yes it's funny that your squaring it up when it's a triangle! But you are most definitely squaring it up a true 90 degrees! Thanks for all you great vids keep on doing what you're doing!💪

    I just recently brought back my 200es back to life and unfortunately discovered a similar problem, someone had to much fun and bent a rear axle. I’ve been debating taking off the rear diff again and attempting to remove the axle for replacement. Anyone have any suggestions or cautions for this job. I’m kind of hesitant to go into a one year off diff that’s 40 some years old.

      You may just want to swap the whole diff and axle out as a unit. If your in the southeast look me up on FB. I have a couple.
