Minecraft All Advancements TAS World Record

- The final time of this run is 1 hour and 1 tick (1:00:00.05), which is the fastest time possible to get all advancements as it is the first tick that phantoms can spawn. Phantoms pace lock you for Two Birds, One Arrow, Monsters Hunted and Sweet Dreams. Ignoring these 3 advancements the finish time of this run is 25:57, which is a 23:17 minute improvement over the old run by VDPineapple. The phantom TNT cannon at the end also saves 11 ticks over the old run.
This is a TAS, or a Tool Assisted Speedrun, meaning I used savestates, slowdown, and rng manipulation to create this theoretically optimal run.

I love how pacelock means this is more like tool-assisted flexing than tool-assisted speedrunning
I guess it sort of makes it a Tool-Assisted Superplay which I believe is the official term for a tas that mostly shows off lol
@@spootot im not sure if I read your comment right but tas stands for tool assisted speedrun, sorry if u know that alr

I am a big fan of speedrunning. I have watched countless speedruns from countless games. I have a particular appreciation for TAS’s. There’s something unique about how TAS attempts to push the boundaries of what is theoretically possible in a game. From creating a perfect scenario with rng manipulation, to getting frame perfect inputs to save even a fraction of a second. And this has it all.
Even beyond the TAS itself, its perfection. The fitting music to set the stage of what’s happening, specifically Pigstep for right when you enter the nether to get the wither skulls, otherside syncing to when the Raid gets insta won, and most of all “we’re finally landing” for when the main part of the run gets completed, it’s amazing. And the f1 mode when you complete it puts the cherry on top
This might just be, the best TAS to ever exist
point stated, completely agree.
26:05 I have no idea what just happened there but with the beat drop it was cool
Killed the enderdragon with a 1 arrow using a setup that makes your arrow go super fast because of the knockback caused by the dragons hit box (arrow damage is scaled based on speed with no max cap, so the arrow going super fast makes it deadly af)

Amazing run! Thanks for putting the effort in to optimise it!
Cool too see you paying attention too aa tas speedruns
6:51 that tnt that killed a ton of fish for the complete Catologue advancement was so cool!
I think it's cool that the phantoms lock the run to exactly one hour. It feels like a very neat round number for The Perfect Minecraft Run to utterly demolish everything in the game. Something fun should go in that half hour of waiting, like maybe collecting every block in the game to really make it a perfect run!
It reminds me of the tas for the Lower versions “All Achievements” category where it’s exactly 5 minutes because you have to wait five minutes for a chicken to lay an egg to bake a cake for “The Lie” achievement
I like the part at 32:50 where the clock said "it's clocking time" and clocked all over the place
The thing that’s more impressive then the actual speed run is the fact people figured out this is the perfect seed to do the speedrun on. Like how long did it take to find a perfect course to take?
Only took like a week to find the seed and route it but that was using previously filtered lists
@@pacmanmvctheres got to be qn even better seed somewhere...

dude finally one of the best tas i have ever seen
The music going from Minecraft OST to HOME is probably the *best* use of music I've ever seen in a CZcams video.
the timing with the music are amazing, idk if u planned the timings on enter at the nether for the 2nd time( with pigstep) or killing the 2nd drake, but if u did, i appreciatte the effort.
Incredible!
Quick question, I heard the timer for TASes end at the last input. Would it be possible to make a machine that does 'Two birds, One Arrow' automatically, thus stopping the clock way sooner? Maybe minecraft TASes work differently tho idk
I think these are timing rules used for playback TASes. The rules also extend to starting time on first input which would mean I could wait an hour for phantoms before starting. However I don't like this timing method since all Minecraft speedruns use world load, so I timed this in the same way. I'm sure it is theoretically possible to hang an arrow for 30 minutes and have it accelerated later meaning last input would be much faster; I simply had no inclination to do so.
@@pacmanmvc isn't it also "console power on" not first input? Which would be the equivalent of booting the game for minecraft I suppose? Either way, I think it would be cool tbh to make a setup where you can hold right click, and it unblocks your view of a bed and kills the phantoms automatically, optimising the design, material gathering, and building of those setups would probably be quite interesting imo, although I get not seeing the appeal if you're not into that sort of stuff and just want to micro-optimise inputs for the first part, and build a good enough machine, fast enough

great tas!
my favorite part is how in the first 2 minutes you did one of the craziest things I've ever seen, that being telly bridging into crafting a ladder into a ladder clutch
Love the particularity of the "how did we get here?" Routing. Something you would just *never* do in normal gameplay.
I like that whenever tas lands next to an animal there is a 50/50 chance it will either get fed, or become food.
Love watching these
I'm so curious how Minecraft TAS creators manipulate RNG. It's very clear that all your mob drops and spawns are OP, which makes sense for the TAS, but I'm just wondering how that is controlled for. Is Minecraft RNG determined by the seed, and you just had to go seed hunting until you found one with perfect drops? Or is it defined by player movement? Furthermore, regardless of how RNG is controlled, how do you as the creator of the TAS find out that a cluster of drowneds are going to spawn at 6:22 with nautilus shells and tridents?
I'm just fascinated by all the techniques, and extremely impressed. Excellent work on the run, I would love to learn more about this sort of stuff.
Mob drops, taming, barters, weather and most things are done with datapacks. Mob spawning is done with the TAS mod itself. The seed just determines terrain/biomes/structures. For specifically the drowned, the mod checks that any mob you attempt to spawn is valid so that whatever you're doing is at least theoretically possible. It checks light level and biome to do this. Them holding shells, dropping tridents and gold was done with the datapack.
@@pacmanmvc Thanks for your answer, that makes a lot of sense. Still, crazy dedication for all the routing and just the sheer amount of time. I just finished watching the full run and I must say it was a spectacle.

incredible how monster hunter and free the end were achieved at the same time
The phantom pace lock gives me a good movie idea:
A robot brought into the Minecraft world to get all its achievements, it will be destroyed once it’s all finished. The robot completes them all quickly, but has to wait for the phantoms. The robot has its own adventures, enjoying the last moments while they last. The robot makes friends with the world around it, making amends for harm done during the advancement collection process. Eventually, it is almost time that the phantoms will spawn. The robot tries everything to rewire himself to not get the achievement. There is the creator of the robot, who’s had a side plot going on throughout the movie, dead set on getting world record. He tries to control the robot in a final climax, and then his family members, and everything going on with the robot leads him to learn a moral lesson, and let the robot live happily ever after.

wow, its so optimized that from 32:35 onwards the run is absolutely perfect
I know it's not gonna happen, but the health bar's proximity to death gives me instinctual anxiety throughout the entirety of this run.
Do you mind explaining how rng is manipulated in Minecraft? I’m curious as to how it’s even possible to manipulate ridiculous outcomes like 1 1/2 stacks of apples from blowing up ~1 tree.
I’m familiar with rng manip on console games like Mario and Zelda where character actions and movement make up most of the manipulations
Rng manip in this game mainly comes down to making datapacks. They determine most of the mob drops as well as loot tables for chests and leaves. All I do is change the 1/200 to 1 and now they always drop apples. This is done for many items in this run.
the 30 seconds after the nether entry are just frickin wild dude

absolute insanity. Must have been ridiculous amount of work for you to route this. I would call this the minecraft speedrun that is closest to perfect
