I saw then live in the Summer of 2016 and I thought they would be really good (they are my favourite band so my expectations were high) but they exceed my expectations SO MUCH. I swear I never had as much fun in a concert...Underrated band.
Having the female backup singer is very reminiscent of how during the mid to late seventies The Grateful Dead would have a female vocalist. I'm not saying that the two acts sound similar but I think how each individual act utilizes their background vocals is definitely in a similar style.
Makisupa Dude have you listened to that new years petrichor by phish? with the backup singers and the brass group and stuff? lol those backup singers and trumpets are amazing and i wish they would play more often
Anyone else wondering when the bass drum with the artwork (or all of the drums) to just explode by the Helter Skelter mark? He is amazing. He appears to hit fucking hard. Glad he is using the Z's!
this is an awesome video, and this is an amazing performance......... but did they just open AND close with purple yellow red and blue??? i've never seen a band open and close their set with the same song.. probably because they're the only band that could pull that off.
Agree with all but the "only band that could pull that off"....Allman Brothers, and most noteably the grateful dead did this often, both bands would even do that on consecutive night shows as is start a song on Friday nights set and finish it on Saturday nights. But don't let this distract you this set rips and nobody should be reading these comments while they are playing
I kind of perceived this as a reprise. I mean I think this is a place they might make new fans and the hook on that song is killer. And it was played differently...don't think anyone minded! haha
I know these comments are 4 years old but I was just thinking the other day that he looks like a mix of Marcus Mumford and Tom Hardy and then I saw these comments. 😂
+Claudio Álvarez I'm guessing that you're talking about the little lady. That's Zoe Manville, John Gourley's significant other. Between the two of them their kid is going to be the most adorable thing ever to not be a puppy.
Vitor Boschiero my best friend and I were at the very front and we were one of the few who were dancing and singing/screaming to every song. Everyone around us seemed to only be there for Passion Pit who were coming up next on the stage.
natyownsyourface I won VIP tickets and flights to Austin for my best friend and I and there was a lot of dancing further back. Stages were nuts there and a lot of people did rush away after P.TM finished but a TON of people were definitely not there for them.
I mean it's unusual an entire crowd is more or less calm like that. But, you know. I am like that at lots of concerts, maybe just let people enjoy music the way they want to.

I saw then live in the Summer of 2016 and I thought they would be really good (they are my favourite band so my expectations were high) but they exceed my expectations SO MUCH. I swear I never had as much fun in a concert...Underrated band.

The begining sound of All Your Light is so fucking deadly
Anyone else wondering when the bass drum with the artwork (or all of the drums) to just explode by the Helter Skelter mark? He is amazing. He appears to hit fucking hard. Glad he is using the Z's!
Kane is insane on the kit
Хорошая музыка не знает границ и предрассудков. Меняются политики и президенты, а хорошая музыка вечна!!!
love the mistake at 43:56
This easily The best or at least top 5 shows they've played so far!! Everything sounds amazing!
Zach Rosenthal it's because they are amazing
Nice...
That is a very rare jazzmaster!
+Philip Ptacek it's a 1963 fender jazzmaster, very rare color way though.
This is fuckin music
Yes, BIG TIME. I'll be seeing these guys in person asap.
when he plays the gretsche all sounds 10x better
Agreed. I love his Jazzmaster but those p90s dont sound big enough for their songs unless he cranks the distortion
+Pedro Pinheiro agreed
+Pedro Pinheiro agreed
I think he tours with the Jazzmaster because it's not nearly as heavy haha.
John's a little guy and the gretsche is giant lol
The live set they did previously the beginning of 2017 does anyone kno what kind of arch top he had it’s so freakin dope, he uses it lot
Oh yeah, now is your time 😂❤❤😂
Love. So. Hard.

Dayman! Are you fucking serious!
The jazz master pickups sounds really diferent.

this is an awesome video, and this is an amazing performance......... but did they just open AND close with purple yellow red and blue??? i've never seen a band open and close their set with the same song.. probably because they're the only band that could pull that off.
You're absolutely right. They don't give a fuck
+trexIII000 Been done. Neil Young did it on Tonights the Night and Rust Never Sleeps. These guys couldn't even sell merch for Neil.
Agree with all but the "only band that could pull that off"....Allman Brothers, and most noteably the grateful dead did this often, both bands would even do that on consecutive night shows as is start a song on Friday nights set and finish it on Saturday nights. Good observation. I end up listening to the song twice, so its good they did.
I kind of perceived this as a reprise. I mean I think this is a place they might make new fans and the hook on that song is killer. And it was played differently...don't think anyone minded! haha

lucky mfs I WANT TO BE IN THAT CROWD SMH!
I want to b on that stage jamming with them. I'm jealous and I'm that good myself but we are all equally important and equally talented in some sence
Does anyone know what kind of sunglasses John has specifically?
+Benjamin Allen You're a gay
+Your Mom thanks for the helpful feedback
They're RAEN's. Just check the site and you'll find those specific ones
I believe they are RAEN Arkins. They can be found in the female section of RAEN's site
Thank you!
Who is the beautiful chorus girl?
+Curran Chapman I thought they were married, i mean they even have a daughter
you can have children without being married.
I know it's just that I thought they were married because that's more common
taylor swift. ...jj
The married on December 31, 2017
we are the indigos...what do we call you?
That back up singer tho.
+Claudio Álvarez I'm guessing that you're talking about the little lady. That's Zoe Manville, John Gourley's significant other. Between the two of them their kid is going to be the most adorable thing ever to not be a puppy.

I didn't know Sal Vulcano played bass!
He was tonight’s biggest looser 😂
what a terrible crowd..
You should watch Rammstein crowds, they stand there like zombies. no mosh pitting!
Vitor Boschiero my best friend and I were at the very front and we were one of the few who were dancing and singing/screaming to every song. Everyone around us seemed to only be there for Passion Pit who were coming up next on the stage.

i was there and i sang my heart out
I mean it's unusual an entire crowd is more or less calm like that. But, you know. I am like that at lots of concerts, maybe just let people enjoy music the way they want to.
too much distortion
+hyposlasher - i prefer when he uses his Gretsch. But, i think he mixes it up and likes to experiment with new sounds.
Ooh woo, I'm a rebel just for kicks, now
I been feeling it since 1966, now ?
Doesn't sound as good with out Noah( Lead guitarist) :/
where was he?
I think he just comes and goes in the band.
L
ACL Crowd WACK. Their stance, WACK, their energy WACK, their clothes, WACK!
Got a pretty girl up there, and they can't even give her a number of her own. The height of self-absorbed geekdom.
that’s the lead singer’s wife and she’s a backup singer. she is a total badass though
@@sarahellzey6163 Obviously one talent wears the pants in the family.
Muy pobre homenaje a una gran banda
Very poor tribute to a great band.
oof guitar tone is just awful......there IS no tone!
