We have a 2012 1.6 diesel Yeti with 100k miles and have only ever had a few issues. A glow plug broke and the passenger door wiring harness (frayed wires). There was also an issue with the paper / card packer in the steering wheel - it fell apart causing a crunching noise when steering. Other than that, just the usual consumables such as a wheel bearing.

    I own 2.0TDI (180hp) 2012 fwd, 5 speed manual, for 6 years.
    Issues so far:
*Issue with drivers doors cables. Place where it bends - broken airbag sensor wire.
*Rust between doors, on both sides. Fix it asap! If you see any rust or paint bubbles, fix it asap!
    *Fr R spring coil broke.
*Clutch started to slip at 260k kilometers. Due to chip tuning. Slips on 3rd and 5th gear.
But in general - good car.

Our 2012 one also rusted on the bottom corners of the doors. They also can rust behind the rear number plate so it might be worth checking before it's too late!

The 5 speed manual version should not be chip tuned as the transmission is weak already and limits the torque of the engine from the factory.

I own a yeti 2.0 TDi 4X4 ( 2011) the only 2 problems i have faced so far are constant ABS /TRACTION CONTROL sensor issue. resolved after a reset/ replacement of the faulty sensor. Also recently am facing an issue of a creaking sound after starting the vehicle ( RUBBER ENGINE/ OTHER MOUNTS??) but the sound disapears after a few minutes Appreciate any feedback....

I have a Yeti 4x2 2.0 TDI changed timing belt and water pump after 50000 km. Now temp gauge not working. When scanned, it showing P0118 coolant temp fault. One of the mech advised its because of ECM issue. Confused! Everything else fine. Even emission normal. No dark smoke.

I have to say this, please get someone with good english pronunciation to do your voice overs. I had to replay so much of this video because what I heard didn't make sense, I then had to think of the word you were trying to say before I could continue. Very distracting. Sorry :)
