I think a lot of forests in Europe are somewhat freaky

One author (German as I recall) in 1800's slept here and had a dream of falling down the covered hole and time traveled into the future which was post-apoplectic. Then in real life, in this area, he met a girl who showed him a basket in which at the bottom of it there were fleeting images.

Actually dude got transported to the future and the basket with images below is just a smartphone in 2006 albeit very old. He also said that yellow light came from the holes of building that he considers demonic and its probably just the apartment complex in the city that has yellow lights in their windows. I always thought that people seeing golden building and glass buildings after being magic napped is just them getting chucked into the future.
Now come to think of it. I recall in my last senior year we had a religious retreat to an old Spanish monastery and spent week there where my friends and I were hanging by the old courtyard covered in shrubbery. A little girl kid you not dressed in drab dirty white long dress in barefoot came in running. It's also enough of a conicidence that we were cosplaying date a live anime as a part of our performance for that afternoon and the girl asked if we are angels and we said yes. We even gave her a conveniently square flyer with the symbol of the monastery that says you are invited and nothing else and each of us introduced ourselves as the angel names o the characters we are cosplaying. We told the girl to go back the way she came and don't wander off. What's even more shocking is that the nun in charge of us was doing peptalk about how the monastery came to be and how it got it's symbol.
The Nun who established the monastery long ago claimed that angel metatron gave her the symbol when they appeared before her. Brruuhhh I was dressed up as Tobiichi aka metatron that time and was the one who handed her the flyer. That was waay back in 2013. To this day it sounds like bullcrap but it made me think a lot of what happened
I actually have a personal story regarding houska castle. I have visited it together with my gf about 2 years ago in summer. a short note to my gf: she's a very sensitive person, often having a bad feeling before something bad is about to happen or when she is around people with bad intentions - i always called it: her vibes-antennas and in many cases her "antennas" were actually right! So already when we arrived at the parking lot of houska castle i asked her if she feels anything. She said no. So we went to the castle but we did not enter it because it was closed that day. Instead went further up the hill, past the statue of this womanly figure. Only a short distance of walking further up the hill you come to a plateau which stretches to the left and through the trees you get a nice view of the surrounding area. My gf remains kinda in the middle of this plateau while i went further to the tip of the plateau, a little downhill again to get a better view. She was out of sight and also some distance away from me so that one would have to rly shout to hear each other. Yet after about one minute i heard her voice in a calm tone saying my name. This confused me a bit but i thought nothing more of it. Since i have taken in enough of the view and i was in a good, energized mood i ran up to my gf again asking her what's up. To which she replied that she's happy that i'm back because she felt like .....something... had taken control over her mind while i was out of sight and slowly made her walk towards the edge of the plateau against her will. She only regained control over her mind and body as i came back to her. She also assured me that she did not say a single word in the time i was gone. .... which made this whole situation very very eery. I swear that this happened as described. I have no reason to make anything up and i wanted to tell this story regarding what happened there already a long time. We interpreted this in a way ... if such things exist ... that there must be both evil and good spirits present at houska castle. Also at the beginning of the plateau is a little cave, only with a length of about 10m. Inside are definately traces of rituals done by humans there (you find candles, bones and a few inscriptions on the walls), so i guess the locals know. So if any of you ever visit houska castle... i can only recommend to stay together at all times!

your GF is what is called an empath...I am an empath too... I have a weird story to share that this reminded me of without the portal to hell...when I was 13 my Dad committed suicide. I was a Rosicrucian Colombe in the Atlanta Chapter so the Grand Master and his wife took us in...it was January and there was snow on the ground ... it was very cold...I was dozing off to take a nap when the disc jockey on the radio announced "It's a beautiful sunny day here on August the 17th (my birthday) and he proceeded to play my Dad's favorite song (Don't Worry Baby)...I woke completely and went to tell my mom who had taken a bunch of valium and past out in the bathtub...I went in there just as she was going under...I couldn't get her to wake up so I just let the water out...later when I told her about it she said that she saw my Dad holding out his hand beckoning her to go with him...I don't think it was my Dad...I think my Dad is the one that woke me up...this kind of thing has always happened to me...I believe something deliberately sent you to save your GF...thank goodness

@@caplorunnin Actually In the 1930s, with war raging across the continent during WWII, the Nazis occupied Houska Castle. It was told they would do occult stuff to people there aswell. Later they all mysteriously died it was told at least. But it is true it was never MEANT to be occupied for unnatural reasons :)

@@marcobermaier8013 then sent a prisoner who was given a choice between going down there, then walking free or spending the rest of his life in prison, he went down the hole and he went instantly crazy, dying a few days later.
Hence why the castle was built and when it was originally built, it could only be opened from the inside, meaning nobody from the outside who wasn't permitted, was allowed in.
Obviously that changed, first in the early 1800s then again when the Nazi's came.
So if you're facing life in prison, but you have a life line thrown your way, one that allows you to walk free after you're done, most would take that, especially if all you need to do is look down a hole.

Since the castle was built over a portal to Hell maybe that is the reason for the demonic paintings around the castle. Though the place is beautiful but yet gives you a eerie feeling

The first noise sounds like a child or woman screaming out ‘HELP’. That part of Europe is notorious for human trafficking and a deep fissure suggests a massive cave system, perfect for hiding nefarious activity.

A side note is that the castle was used as a recording studio by the illegal rock band Plastic People of the Universe. The arrest of the band led to the Charter 77 movement for human rights, which launched Vaclav Havel into politics. Havel became the first president of Czechoslovakia after the fall of communism and later president of the Czech Republic, One of the rooms has a display about the band.

@@AmysCrypt The cave with a locked door was most likely wine storage or a cold cellar for food in jars. The chapel type building in the woods was likely a hunters or foresters shelter. Glad you got out of the woods OK. looked spooky,

But in the end u said while coming back u guys had to walk for two hours .. this is quite confusing if it was a tour. The video never gave the impression that there r other people too

I went to see the hole, it's just full of water at the bottom as you'd imagine. However legend says you must swim through water to reach hell, otherwise the earth would be on fire.

I been reading through stories of this castle for the past 30 minutes, one person wrote a comment on a video that said they were a local and had visited the castle before, hearing creepy stories from some people there. One of the people were appearantly working late in one of the higher floors of the Castle when she heard footsteps from behind a door. She said that the footsteps sound like a normal humans footsteps on one step, but like hooves from a horse on the other step. She also mentioned hearing chains being dragged along. In other stories you can read about "Human Animal hybrids". Im not saying its real, but im seriously interested in spending a night in that castle
Wow! This was very creepy. All the rams on wall and goats were unsettling. Maybe those screams were coming from those that were slaughtered there? And the screaming of a dog or human voice was also creepy and sad. The artwork was creepy also. Awesome video as always. Glad someone helped you at the end, especially the long walk and in the rain.

With the bloody history we have here in South Wales a lot of our forests and woods and groves are said to be haunted. I know of places where no animals really go and the plants and trees are dead or decaying. It can be pretty intensely quiet too. There may be a logical explanation and it may be a natural reason for it all, but it's spooky none the less lol.

I've been there twice and reportedly the floor is made out of sandstone and it's like 4 meters thick. Although it's 4 meters thick, it's made out sandstone which has often tendencies flake off or break.

Thank you so much queen V. Yeah, we thinking of starting to include some extra footage at the end for you guys that watch that far. We were both happy to make it back. It was dark when we reached a town, but we still had 6km to go. We stopped in a cafe for a hot chocolate to warm up and some directions. The girl working was about to finish her shift and kindly offered to drive us back. It was very nice of her (we were both very exhausted and frustrated with one another by that point lol!!!) 🖤🖤🖤

I think the creepiest thing tho for me was the room with all of the ram heads on the wall....they looked like something out of the movie The Witch. Scary! And Awesome! Thanks Amy. Yeah the ram room was creepy (a little sad, though, too). It also really took me by surprise. We did not know about that room. It was the most heads on a single wall I have ever seen. I've been here twice and I can never get inside of the castle. What time of the year did you go? The first time I went was November 1and perhaps that was a bad time because it's the offseason for tourism. However, the second time it was definitely supposed to be opened as it was listed as being opened, that was on October 8th. I have a feeling that being an evangelical Christian who is just curious I believe that the ghouls don't want my team there snooping around.
I think we went around October/November - I believe they only conducted tours at specific times in the day - you couldn’t freely wander the castle on your own 🖤

Starting from that odd looking small cave back then, I thought to myself, "I would go inside if that was me over there". Then you stepped in. In all honesty, I actually think that place was somehow beautiful and elegant. I love nostalgic places, despite the seemingly eerie and suapense atmosphere it may contain there. But otherwise, it was chilling exploration!

The dragon on the wall was the etching of the warriors that built the castle. You should never go to Houska if you aren’t wearing protection or part of the order.

Not a believer of haunted stuff etc but this place, even just watching you walk around it and talk about it from the comfort of my own home, really gives me an 'off' feeling, I can't describe it, it all just feels really unsettling.

Hi Amy and Jarrad! I loved this video and thought that the whole place was beautiful, in a creepy way especially the forest. The wall of heads in the castle was really off, all those poor animals losing their heads for decoration and I guess to show what a great hunter the bloke who killed them was, gross indeed. This place's history is exactly the same as Diablo's lore from the Diablo series of video games. In the first game there was a chapel that was built over top of catacombs that lead straight into hell where they kept Diablo trapped, then a falling star destroys the chapel and the main character has to descend into the hole to stop evil from escaping. Not sure if it is a reference to this place, but it is pretty neat that they are similar.
