With my Essence compacts I place a piece of clear tape over the hinge area to reinforce it. The hinge lasts a lot longer til it breaks. Then when it does break, you already have tape holding the lid on. 😊
I may be petty, but the easily compromised packaging is why I steer away from Essence. They have some good stuff too, but I'm too old and ornery for flimsy packaging.
Because of that i bought an empty magnetic pallete to but the pans of essence and some singleeyeshadows in there. And it made my makeup routine way more "efficient" because now i can take that pallete, sit down and so my makeup with the mirror in there without having to go through everything. Changed my Makeup routine. I now can do a few looks without having to look for all my single eyeshadows and the fitting blush. On other daus I use my other makeup if i have more time
Cut your naturiam sunscreen package open! When I thought I was out bc nothing would come out the pump, I cut it open and nearly 1/4 of the product in the tube was left to scrape out!
People are sleeping on an AMAZING blush from wet and wild. I think its because it was part of the scooby doo collection and people wernt into it. But there was a peach blush in that line that had the BEST finish for a blush! I blend it out with a puff n it just melts right into the skin and looks soooo smooth. Its the best blush ive ever used and ive tried TONS.
I purchased the Peach Slices Azelaic Acid based on your recommendation a few months back but just started using it about a month ago. It has been a total game changer for my skin. My skin went from having multiple active blemishes 24/7 to NONE! Thank you!
Yessss to the Elf Lash 'n' Roll and being a two-step mascara person! I use the Lash 'n' Roll as my step 1 to separate and lengthen, then put a volumising (often waterproof) mascara on top, and my lashes look fantastic, if I do say so myself. The brown definitely does look like a dark, almost charcoal brown instead of a proper chocolate brown, but I still love it. Your orange roses in the background are beautiful, Kelly! They are my favourite flower. 🧡

Kelly noooo not the sunscreen 😅 I'd recommend trying Korean sunscreens, they are so much lighter than that one! I have combo skin and it was way too heavy on my skin. My favorite now is the skin1004 hyalu-cica water fit sun serum! It is soooo lightweight and saved me in the summer

Kelly I bought the Catrice blush because of you and I LOVE! My favourite way to wear it is with Wet n Wild peach bums blush stick over the top, it creates a beautiful glowy peachy highlight look ❤
I miss my Peach Bums! I gave mine away. Better than the more expensive iterations I have tried! In a year or two my sparkly peach cream products will start expiring (and getting panned. Hopefully Wet and Wild will still carry it then,,

I will say that Naturium sunscreen I imagine is great for people with dry skin or normal, but as someone with combo or oily it felt thick and greasy to me. Have you tried the Maelove sunscreen? My favorite drugstore products of 2023 that I tried and love are Milani Glided Mini Eyeshadow Palette in It's All Rose , Essence Stay & Play Gel Eyeliner in Emerald Dragon and Elf's Lash N Roll Curling & Lifting Mascara. What would be a pretty eye look to use is take all the Milani Glided Mini Eyeshadow Palettes and create all in 1look using them combined.
Ulta has LA Girl eyeliners, too, that are only a few bucks and are really good. I can tightline and use it on my waterline. It stays put, instead of collecting in the corner of ur eye.
You've inspired me to try more essence makeup come 2024! Definitely gonna try the blushes finally and gonna try the brow product from them you mentioned. Give me Brow by Essence is great so I feel like they can't go wrong with their brow products!! ❤
I have Before The Rainbow, very reminiscent of Jo Malone Wild Sage and Sea Salt which I also own. The Jo Malone is more subtle but the Finery version lasts for way longer on me. Honestly, I prefer the Finery version. Highly recommend.
I only tried one palette from the Milani alcohol themed 5 pans, and it was the Call Me Olde Fashioned.. the shimmers are fine.. but they're SHIMMERS they're not intense, super sparkly, or metallic.. they shimmer. I love it for a lot of low key stuff. Did a great Wednesday Addams with it. For shimmers that shock and awe?? Nahh, I go indie all day.. but this was good.

I have mild rosacea so I really try to be as gentle as I can be when using products. I'm also using Neutrogena Skin Perfecting daily liquid exfoliant for dry skin every night.
I love your videos and trust your reviews. I have to have a waterproof mascara because my lashes grow straight down and if the mascara isn’t waterproof they fall when I apply it. What’s your favorite waterproof mascara? Drug store or high end doesn’t matter just want one that doesn’t flake or smudge.
Have you ever tried curling your lashes then adding a small amount of castor oil with a spoolie before your mascara? My eyelashes were straight too and only used waterproof mascara. I tried the castor oil first and it worked for me! No more water proof mascaras.
Does anyone know if the lip oils bleed? I've been tempted to try one, but that would probably be a deal breaker for me. And yes, some of my elf packaging breaks, but the one that is more annoying is my Lumi bronzer! It's large and lovely but the top broke not long after purchase.
