Just wanted to comment that I found the ELF Halo Glow Powder is VERY similar to the Laura Mercier loose powder. I used the LM for years but did not repurchase because it’s not cruelty free. I found the ELF powder to be the same finely-milled, undetectable finish, but it’s a fraction of the price and is CF!

I really enjoyed hearing mini reviews and comparisons with the other products. I'm not sure how large your higher-end collection is, but I would also love to see that! Loved seeing your full collection and your thoughts on each product! The drug store really has a lot to offer these days. The Milani silky matte bronzer always looks beautiful. I struggled with the elf halo glow powder; it looks nice for about an hour but after that my skin oils start to come through and my face looks wet for the rest of the day. I definitely get the appeal though and I think it looks nice to set under the eyes. I do think you will like shade 1 of the liquid filter. I still have the original elf sticky primer (the jelly pop one) but I want to try one of the new ones when it’s gone. This video has caused me to add so many things to my wish list (not complaining!) The revolution cream bronzer and the loreal infallible powder bronzer are my favorite bronzers at the drugstore and pretty high up in my entire collection.
I’m so sad. I want that ULTA Beauty Lustrous Foil Eye Shadow in the shade you have (Silver Leaf), but the only shades they seem to carry now are Rose Gold Leaf, Gold Leaf, and Pink Leaf. 😢 I hope they don’t discontinue Silver Leaf. I want it so bad! Also, definitely one of my favorite drugstore powers is Maybelline Fit Me (the loose setting one). Never lets me down!
I used mine as a spot concealer with a little powder. It was perfect. I actually like the pump. I can mix it with a little green primer to get my perfect shade. I have an olive undertone and the perfect shade is difficult to find.
I'm starting to think that they are slowly phasing out the brand. In AZ they sell it at Frys grocery stores but I've noticed that they haven't been stocking up on their products for a long time.

I wish I had the lighter palette that is like jungle lights. I can't remember what it is called. They seem to release new products though like the new concealer so idk.
I wish I had kept the milani romantic rose blush in my collection. The milani baked blush in dolce pink is one of my favorite blushes. The essence baked blushes are really impressive for their price yes, but even if they were expensive I'd love them.

Great video Kelly! Lil tip for broken makeup that may help people- in the dollar store craft section, they sell these multi-packs of little plastic jars with lids. They're great to transfer makeup into if it broke, for mixing, or travel. Or you could look in the travel section of drugstores for little bottles to fill as well (I found a cute little squeeze one at walmart). I love your makeup reviews and how you're honest about the products and any affiliations, who they'd work for (dry skin), etc. I have the same or similar skin tone and type to you, so it's really helpful that you give so much info like telling if something is drying, talking about the coverage, saying the shades and showing swatches, comparing them, and giving alternatives.
Would you say that The Lip Bar liquid lipsticks are a cruelty free alternative to the Maybelline Stay Matte liquid lipstick in terms of longevity? I've not had much luck yet.
I can confirm that the other LA Girl white foundation is *excellent* ('LA Girl Pro Coverage High Definition Long Wear Illuminating Foundation'). Very subtle luminosity, hydrating, looks natural on the skin. Edit: I, too, found the white LA Girl foundation you featured in this video way too matte and even a bit cakey.

Plus, it's great for all skin types...when I started using it I was true combo-leaning-oily. Due to menopause and thyroidectomy in the past 18 mos, I now have very dry skin. Still works great. The 'regular' foundation in that line is gorgeous on it's own, too, although the shade range is a little goofy.
Sure hope you can decant and squeeze out TLB into another container and possibly mix it with your LA Girl pro mix to lighten the shade and even add a couple drops of oil and save it for the winter months. You’ll get more out of your products I think. Anyway thanks for sharing all your thoughts with us on your makeup collection.
P.S. Regarding the NYX HD powder: have you tried it just over a tinted sunscreen? It’s so beautiful. That’s the only way I’ve been able to use it because once my natural skin warms up my makeup the powder adheres beautifully. By the way I’m usually dry-normal with some t-zone area that needs attention.
Soo I'm just now getting around to finishing this, lol. I just wanted to say that I recently got both the Milani Luminoso baked blush (trying peach finally!) and the Milani lip oil in the Cherry Lime. They're both so good! Thank you for the recommendations!! Also though, I was sort of bummed with how sheer the Covergirl Yummy Gloss was when I tried it because I was trying to try a more peachy lip. 😅
debated getting the strawberry milani fruit gloss for so long and finally gave in cause i wanted the nostalgic scent but mine smells like straight up cough syrup 😫
The nyx slim lip pencils are so good! And I find that the elf mascara is quite buildable. I have short lashes and i find it makes my lashes look super long (with some volume too).
The nyx Bare with me serum concealer is a great formula...with next to no coverage. I wouldn't even call it medium coverage. It's the perfect formula for someone who doesn't need much concealing or just doesn't like thicker formulas. I will say it works really well as a an all over base. That is how I'm using mine up.
You dont have to throw out the tlb foundation if you have an empty bottle to pour it into. It would be a shame to just waste the entire product that you like.
For the shade to elf halo glow filter… It might seem dark, but try it either mix with your foundation, or as a primer all over your face, you would be amazed how well it works, even if it appears to dark. I know because I’ve tried it, and it looks way too dark for my skin too.

When you wear a primer during the day, do you put it over or under your sunscreen? Also, where do you buy your catrice products? I can only find them online, which makes shade matching hard
I have the elf halo glow filter in the lightest shade and it’s a bit to dark for my fair skin. But it’s nice I just wish they would come out with more shades.

Use the NYX bare with me concealer as a foundation!!! It’s so natural looking.

That's how I started using mine because as an under eye concealer it does nothing.

I found the original UD naked skin foundation to be dry too. I mixed it with a day moisturizer and that really helped!!
7:55 Kelly: Have you tried submerging the pump in a tray of hot water, a couple of drops of soap and pumping until it works again?
For the jelly much shadows, mix a couple of drops of water in and they'll be good as new

I do apply it over sunscreen! And Catrice pulled out of Ulta so the only place to buy them if you’re in the US is online
