Doctor Breedlove is a great name for a guy working on this subject
Reference to this topic: University of Oxford press, Human Reproduction, William H James (UC London, department of genetics)Volume 19, issue 6, Page 1250 to 1256. And this study was done between 1980 to 1996 and this Scientific journal was written in 2004
It’s surprising how FEW scientists ARE actually scientific, so it’s refreshing to see something like this👍
Great Talk. Love when ideas are tested. Thank you.
That "I'm the only one who knows" moment is awesome 😁
I wasn't allowed to say pregnant in my house. I've learned to be way different with my kids.
Silly euphemisms like, with child.
More people need to see this.
Marc Breedlove is great.
Professor of Neuroscience
wow this was amazing. whats not to love about science
Cut to Trumpers and most GOP being entirely afraid of science.
Great Ted Talk! Inconclusive as far as the science goes but very good.
Thanks.
That’s my professor!!! ✌️
He's excellent!!!
What a charming, smart, avuncular guy🎉❤
Thanks 😊 ❤️
Thanks
Weird because depending on how my hand is, it completely changes which finger is longer.
Beautiful Truth ❤❤❤
Some TED Talks drop truth bombs, some just look to entertain the masses
Ok, what’s your point?
And this one beautifully did both.
But very few do both, which this talk did perfectly.
Love his surname
Nature never lies
This talk sadly doesn’t live up to the title.
Sweet~
who created the intro music?
12:57 - OR offer them a scratchcard!!
Why won't people introduced themselves first nowadays/////and "who are you?"
So Lady Gaga is actually BASED
Terrible audio
Im a tomboy , and my son is a softy. Guess I got more testosterone and he didnt🤷♀️. Im curious about bi people ..
" I'm " ? Is that an English word ?
You insult your son on YT? What a mother.
Don't see any insult there.
I prefer softy over sissy. I never liked male roughness. I always preferred connecting with other males.
@@janaeroshumba760
Softy is NOT an insult. Try sissy, now that's an insult.
Why are you so sensitive about this subject?
Worst audio ever
Bi confusion
So coincidental findings and no clinical relevance
What do you mean by "clinical relevance"?
@@TheKrispyfort I don't remember. It's been too long
@@JenSumma lemme help you "information relevant to the clinical setting"
So, yes, a demonstration of correlation that currently would have no impact to a patient's care in a clinical setting.
@@TheKrispyfort Big man, I know the definition. You're not the only one with medical background. I simply don't remember what the video is about. Thought you wanted specifics
@@JenSumma I'm gender fluid, not a bloke 😆
The movies are "heteronormative" because most people are. It's not a conspiracy or a social construct.
Its mostly because of homophobia. The next thing would be the fact that most people are straight.
well, the discrimination and hypocrisy that comes with it [heteronormativity], certainly is a social construct and conspiracy against minorities, don't you agree?
True but could have some more characters than hetero all the time. And some more shows and super heroes once in a while
@@nickdavidelijahthank you
But gays still have long been under-represented in most aspects of public life, from TV and movies, to political office, to corporate CEOs, even relative to their percent of the population.
In my lifetime, when I was young, there was practically NO mention in media of gays, and the few mentions were extremely negative, usually trying to make a villain character look more "creepy". This is not ancient history.
So he's a scientist who jumps from one lab activity to a completely unrelated conclusion.
Not even close to being true.
read his study ^^ then come to comment ;)
@@matthewaussurin3566 Where is it?
Is a choice....
What is a choice? Science?
Lol just like abortion right?
These women CHOSE to have longer index fingers.
i remember being in the womb when i chose to have brown eyes!
That's a big claim, care to back it up with data?
this is misleading on so many levels... hopefully most people that watched this knows its nonesense
But it's not nonsense. Or did you miss the part where multiple studies support his findings?
also he lowkey tried too say it was choice. which it is not
Genetics explain no more than 25% (and that's extremely liberal) of homosexuality observed in humans. Cope. Most homosexuals are made.
@@gens0kyo wdym "most homosexuals are made"
@@gens0kyo clearly you dont know anything. unless you can supply multiple articals that support your claim. you cant be going around spreading miss-informatin.
Lies!!!
Please present your credentials against his.
what a bunch of pseudoscientific nonsense
@Nick Xero their are other studies which come to a different conclusion
As a fmr research scientist, I can assure you that his description is not one of pseudoscience.
He tested the hypothesis by taking objective measurements and crunching the numbers.
Can't get more Scientific Method than that.
@@TheKrispyfort what objective measurments?
@@joeschmoe2202 seriously?
(le sigh) that would be the finger lengths
Garrison Keillor wannabe drones on for 16 1/2 minutes, with no more than 2 minutes of relevant content. Whoever told this guy he was charming and/or funny did him a disservice. One of the worst, if not the worst, TED Talk ever!
if you are looking for funny videos go find another channel. TED is for people interested in education, not a comedy.
Professor of Neuroscience
get back to me when you do some real research
