Movies like these are a love-hate relationship for me. They’re charming and fun, with good actors and people who clearly gave a shit behind them.
But at the same time, I know that the character and story of Venom has the capacity to be leagues more interesting and thematically rich than these films show
I don’t hate either of these films, but i truly wish that we could have gotten something darker and more faithful to the source material, even if they change some things up

We didn't we even see Venom hardly at all? Eddie and the Symbiote were fighting one another the whole movie. It was big trash. Why wasn't Venom fighting crime or trying to be a Lethal Protector? Why were they cooped up in that lame apartment the whole time? Why did Eddie make Ann more important than the Symbiote? Why did Eddie and the Symbiote split up just like in the 1st movie, just to get back together and beat the bad guy? Why was Carnage trash?

I honestly feel for Venom in this situation. Dietary supplement just doesn't replace the real thing. Humans could survive on bland paste as long as it has the nutrient requirements, but basically no one would want to do that. At least he only wants his diet limited to bad people. Granted, that is a vague standard, but it is better than just randomly chomping heads.

Venom movie, morbius movie and soon to be kraven movie, all of these characters are originally villains but sony is turning them into anti heros

I personally believe that venom as an anti-hero COULD possibly work, but only with the right execution. how sony made venom into an anti-hero, however, wasn't the right way to do it.

The funny thing is while most other adaptations of Venom are vastly more evil then the comics version, this version of him is actually less evil then his comics counterpart. This probably the least evil version of Eddie Brock in any media.

Not gonna lie, getting posessed by a powerful symbiote and jumping around in a super strong body does sound very fun what I'd love to try out once. Once is the key word. And I wouldn't let it eat anyone. But I'd love to try it out.
