I have mild thoracic dextroscoliosis (14 degrees) the last time I checked it a decade ago. I was diagnosed when I was 11 in middle school. Now 47, I was having issues a couple of years ago. So, I started being aware of my curve and had my husband checked my hip/shoulder alignment while on a lumbar stretcher and while bending 90degrees . Doing goblet squats and air squats seems to alleviate my spine discomfort. Also wearing Birkenstock for a decade have helped me be aware of my foot imbalance and mechanics. The shoulders/pelvis alignment and their curvature awareness helps. I tried wearing a shoulder strap while I'm out leisurely walking to shops. It helps align them more symmetrically, but haven't done so in a while. Keeping my tongue on my palate, mewing also helped. I'm sure there are more tweaks I've done. 😂

Hey there, unfortunately I live in Texas. I was recently diagnosed with a 13 degree curve at 25 years old, and u am scared out of my mind of the curve getting worse. I would absolutely visit your office if I lived in state, I love your logic and approach to everything, however I was wondering if you might possibly have any connections with people who do similar work in the Dallas/ Ft. worth area in Texas. Thanks so much for the information.

Dr Tony, did 15 degrees scoliosis show physically or too mild to be detected by the eyes? Thank you

A 15-degree scoliosis is considered mild and is usually not visible to the naked eye. However, in some cases, it may be possible to see a slight asymmetry in the shoulders, hips, or rib cage. Other signs and symptoms of mild scoliosis may include. To learn more about our methods, please visit

I have had scoliosis since childhood, but I have not seen it, now I can see it in the pictures. A few months ago, the X-ray showed 9 degrees. What to do 🥺

9 degree is not scoliosis, it needs to be above 10 degrees. The human body is not 100% congruent.
