Wonderful interview, Floor! I was at your (Nightwish) concert at the Fillmore in Silver Spring Maryland last night and it was nothing short of incredible! It is impressive how you and the entire band give your all, despite it being a small venue and only a couple thousand people in attendance. Best of all, you all seem to thoroughly enjoy yourselves while doing it and you do a wonderful job of keeping the audience involved. Thanks for putting on the best concert I've seen in my entire 50+ years of concert-going.
I was at the Silver Spring show also. I’m a senior citizen and have seen hundreds of concerts also, it was among the best !
Going to a Nightwish show is the same as listening to it on your couch at home, it's nothing but prerecorded backing vocal and instrumental tracks. It's an insult to the audience.
Well, thanks to Floor, now we know all these amazing singers from Netherlands and now from Germany.
I'm sure lots of people around the world are interested in seeing these shows just because Floor is there, but also we hace the chance to listen to different music, different genres and I think this is very cool.
I can't think of a more likeable celebrity/person in the public limelight. She is a treasure. And Tuomas + Floor = GOAT. The music of Nightwish is the perfect avenue for Floor's gift. I've listened to Nightwish with Tarja and there's no question she is talented, as is Annette. But my personal favorite will always be Floor. I don't mind if others prefer Tarja/Annette. They have all earned the adoration of their respective fans. But why does Floor seem like someone you would enjoy having around while you walk your creature around the block?

For now, we are eagerly waiting for every new episode of Sing meinen Song. Would be so nice if all the world starts loving metal. Looking forward to finally see Nightwish live in november. What does it say about her work in Nightwish?
Is she limited there?
Nope. Compare it to a professional athlete talking about his home trainer: 'with this machine i can use my muscles to the fullest' doesn't say anything about performing on the track. Besides, 'Tuomas is really challenging me with his new songs'.

To me it seems she is comparing her vocals in Fire to other pop songs, not the challenges she is given within Nightwish
Floor as the other NW members always does what the song needs. We all know what a beast Kai is on drums, or how Emppu can shred, or what Floor can do vocally. But Nightwish is about the music and doing just what the song needs, not "showing off". Floor can growl, sing opera, scream and sustain a belting for 15 seconds is she wants to , but if the song doesn't need that, she doesn't do it. In her solo career, she can do whatever she wants and explore other sounds and ways to use her voice.
@@impugnu7852 You are trying to reason with a Tarja widower here. Just saying that you might be losing your breath. The guy doesn't even understand that Tarja herself would leave Nightwish a bit later after she had been kicked (1.5-2 years to be exact). He is still talking about what a bad decision it was and what great band they would be now with Tarja....lol. So nice to have "chained" an unwilling singer in your band.....
I think its just a matter of time before Floor decides that a solo career might be preferable, regardless of the feeling now. Seems to happen so often, unfortunately.
