Almost perfect example, especially with the plates. There's only one critical problem that blows the whole authenticity. In California all emergency vehicles have one steady red. Sorry, but no cigar.......

The JetSonic had a very nice appearance but weren't nearly as effective as the AeroDynic bar. Although quite a bit larger, the AeroDynic bar was way brighter than the JetSonic.

Not CALIF legal in that configuration.

The red and blue lamps are suppose to be at the ends and steady not flashing

Incorrect.. There are many different revisions to the J series or JS series Jetsonic bars. The J-CAL Jetsonic is setup similar to this bar. Endlamp placement is irrelevant.. the only requirement is Steady burn Red.

@@stampeedvalkyrie Incorrect. Like King of Sync said, CHP had their steady-burn lamps at the outer end of the light bar.

@thumperjdm I would go back through the available Federal literature. The bars your referring to are the JC or JC1 series. The bar on this car appears to be a JCAL, which were also used by CHP as well as other California agencies. The only thing incorrect in this picture is the fact that center lights are blinking. Head on over to elightbars.org where there are people even more knowledgeable about this then the both of us.. :)

In California the CHP has the steady red snd blues at the end as well as the rear flashers which effected the side view of the rotators

@@stampeedvalkyrie I worked around CHP cars of this era. I'll stick to my statement.

Beautiful car, not California compliant though.

The Chevy Caprice police package would smoke the Crown Vics, unless it was summertime and you had the A/C on. Then they were sapped. The Crown Vic had a nicer interior and rode and drove nicer than the Chevy.

Great lighter design but really weak output

  • @Texasmilitarydepartmentvid9654

Why didn't you show the other vehicles?

Not all other vehicles were running their lights at the time.

Not true lightbar. The red and blues are steady and at the end of the lightbar. This a a failed car
