The Wizard of Oz - Over The Rainbow

The Wizard of Oz played the Ed MirvishTheatre from December 20, 2012 to August 18, 2013. It was an enchanting adaptation of the all-time classic, totally reconceived for the stage by Andrew Lloyd Webber and the award-winning creative team that delighted Toronto audiences of all ages with the revival of The Sound of Music. Danielle Wade starred as Dorothy after winning the part on CBC's Over The Rainbow.

Love that she has pants in this production. And the way that using all the brown tones for the clothing continues the sepia tone of the set and traditional movie opening. That makes me really happy! Such good costuming!

I love that she is wearing overalls in the Kansas scene where it would make sense because as a farmer in Kansas back in the time this was to take place it would make sense that she'd be helping out on the farm as well as the farm hands

I just played Dorothy in the wizard of oz yesterday and I had so much fun, plus I got a ton of compliments after the show. This is one of the best somewhere over the rainbows I’ve ever heard.
