Deep in the uncharted jungles of Peru, a silky anteater is fighting to stay awake, turtles are battling for sunbathing space and a mother humming bird is working overtime to provide for her newly hatched chick. The rainforest is about to enter a time of turmoil; dark clouds signify the arrival of the rains where violent storms wreak havoc through the forest, rivers burst and flash floods force strange creatures from their hiding places. Through millions of years of evolution the rainforests animals have developed bizarre relationships and unexpected strategies to overcome these challenging conditions. Yet despite all their ingenuity, they were never prepared for the arrival of a new species on the scene.

Deep in the uncharted jungles of Peru, a silky anteater is fighting to stay awake, turtles are battling for a place in the sun and a mother hummingbird is working overtime to provide for her newly hatched chick.
The rainforest is about to enter a time of turmoil; dark clouds signify the arrival of the rainy season where storms and flash floods wreak havoc throughout the forest and its inhabitants - both furry and human. The rivers burst their banks as all creatures flee for their lives.
Over the course of millions of years, the animals of the rainforest have developed bizarre relationships and strange strategies to overcome these challenging conditions. Yet despite their ingenuity, they weren't prepared for the arrival of us - humans - who just want to destroy their living space.

Underneath the Amazon there is pure water, to supply the world for 1000 years, not to mention the billions of tons of gold, diamonds and rare metals that lie beneath its soil, which has always been untouchable.
And they are grateful too. It's pure joy for them, being out in this amazing place and being able to capture it on film is a dream come true.

The Amazon is truly amazing! So much we dont know about! It's crazy how all these insects and animals know what to do and where to go to find what they need. And the things they do to stay safe, the way they've adapted over the years. Simply amazing!

One of the most beautiful documentaries I have ever seen - it's melting my stress away as I watch and learn about nature and animals -
As a child I was fascinated by the diversity of wildlife in Africa & thought no other place on Earth could compare. I feel somewhat ignorant as it wasn't until my early twenties that I started to learn about the amazing creatures that inhabit Central & South America. I was amazed at the plant & animal diversity, the wealth of life in the Amazon is every bit as amazing as the jungles & plains of Africa. Hopefully one day I will see it with my own eyes & a greater hope is that this treasure will be here for generations to come.

My favourite parts so far: the golden anteater, the humming bird finding her chick, the Cayman, the baby otter's expression when the fish twitched, the butterflies, the jaguar, and the ants!

I love all the different animals and the different stuff that you learn about how the trees in the actual Forest affect the whole world and not just that area that's so wonderful to me

It's a difficult situation all around, those people are poor, they don't have another opportunity, they mostly come from isolated villages since they're natives
Just ad ur ancestors did what they did to ur part of the world to put uwhere u are so they 2 now. Life is forever changing, we are not gods that defy the laws of reality, we are like ants of a bigger scale, nothing more. Life always finds a way

It is amazing to see the biodiversity of the Amazon. I am always blown away by how finely tuned some of these animals are to their tiny part of the rainforest. Rainforest conservation is so important because these animals cannot survive anywhere else. It saddens me to think of all the beautiful undiscovered species that went extinct due to our destruction of the rainforest 😢
I have seen the original and the sound is great and the narration is perfect! Unfortunately there seems to be an issue with this specific CZcams upload...I urge you all to re-watch it as the original is just amazing and so worth watching!!

You are also beginning to feel that the loss on the planet will not be so great if you disappear as a species.
The story can go on without us.

29:46 ----- OH,.... I was so upset when the baby hummingbird was blown from the nest! I'm so relieved that his mother found him again and is able to feed feed the tiny little sweet thing insects and pollen.

Great documentary. Thank you 🙏. There’s no other beautiful planet like ours. It’s beautiful and we have to do our best to preserve it. Billions are being spent on space programs to explore Mars- a dead, inhabitable and hostile planet, but so little is done to save what God gave us. Our Mother Nature is suffering and crying and if we don’t stop destroying it we’ll bitterly regret about it as the nature always wins this way or another. Peace out.

Hey Mark, I'm the film maker, no idea why the sound was like this, I certainly didn't do it! I sent my copy to the channel so the sound should be replaced with the original sound now.

A beautiful documentary. I am so glad that we are past the time of pretentious old British actors as narrators of nature docs. I know they were trying to emulate Attenborough, but there is only one David Attenborough, and this narrator was pleasant to listen to.

This planet is doomed as long as the people in power remain in power, but you all won't band together to make a change so it's definitely doomed. You're talking about things will change when hundreds of animals have already went extinct within a ten year period. Stop praying and start acting.

Nice documentary! Though, I must ask, why not a single snake shown in it? The Amazon is known for some of the most vibrant and gorgeous species of snakes including the the Mike Tyson of all snakes, the Green Anaconda. Such iconic animals not being displayed just made this feel like it only touched a few of the disappearing wonders of what remains of the Amazon.
