The soundtrack that plays during the invasion of Poland sequence sounds like knives being sharpened. One could only think how appropriate that was. The Nazis butchered Europe, and Heydrich did butcher Czechoslovakia. Even today people say it wasn't worth it for the retribution the Nazis took.
@@herrmajor2310 Czechoslovakia did not exist. Slovakia declared its state and the Czechia was occupied by Germany (Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia)
I know this flies in the face of the narrative, but as a Czech I can promise you he was quite popular. It was the reason that the British had to fly in resistance Czechs from London. He instituted many reforms that modernized and increased wealth within the Czech state. The resistance was not popular, and it was the reason the assassins were eventually turned on by their own people. It did not mean we liked the Nazis. We liked him. Of course we did not know his main job was as the architect of the final solution.
In every movie they always put submachine guns into the hands of the parachutist for the final battle in the church but what most people don't know, the parachutists had pistols only in the church.
In my opinion when English actors play german roles it’s better without the accent. It iften sounds ridiculous and overemphasized. Plus it sounds so forced
studying German and the third reich trust me I feel you. I can't stand it. I just want to watch a nazi movie with German actors but most German actors refuse to play nazis even in movies.
I am studying the third reich and I find myself so interested in Reinhard. However, the moment I hear them speak and see its in English im already turned off. It bothers me how much I hate movies that should be in German. I will see this some how. Being in America this movie is hard to come by for some reason. Going to have to buy the actually blu ray just to see it.
Agreed and I love Jason Clarke but it should have been Michael Fassbender or someone else more German to me. For one Heydrich was alot more lean, Jason is more of a bruiser type, he'd have made another a good maybe Otto Skorzeny?
I read a book as a teenager about the assination of Heydrich. It has fascinated me ever since. He was the butcher of Czeckoslovakia.

No, he wasn´t a butcher at all.
he was the butcher of Czech people not Czechoslovakia.

This mission is called Operation Anthropoid..Josef Gabcik and Jan Kubis
Very good movie! 10/10
Why can't I find this anywhere in America? Looks great
This was an incredibly dark movie
The Nazis were an incredibly dark force. A defiant eye could mean a brutal torture and agonising death.

Solid movie 👏
Just can't get over the fact that half the main German characters (including bloody heydrich) have ENGLISH ACCENTS
Small (.)(.)
