    You can add leds to the turn signal, I did on my truck. The only thing you will need to do is change the turn signal relay to a heavy duty one which allows for leds and regular halogens lights and doesn't hyper flash.

    OMG!! I have been searching for this video for months period I finally got the right combination of words and I ended up with this video period I have been driving without dashboard lights for probably six or seven years at least. I never wanted to pay somebody to do it because I knew I could do it myself but I was worried about taking apart my entire dashboard without knowing what needed to be done and what didn't need to be done. Also, the lights that you showed the bulbs that you showed or not anything like I would have imagined them to be. You made my confidence soar! Thank you so much for this video! By the way, a friend redid the entire body of my truck so it looks brand new on the outside and now I need to start making it look brand-new on the inside! Pretty awesome for a 27 year old truck going on... 30? 40?

    I heard that timing chain rattle when you started it! would reccomend looking into fixing it, as it can be really bad if you dont. if you dont have a 95 or newer, itll have a plastic guide that is now gone and the chain will cut thru bolts and then thru a coolant jacket/ front cover. on a 95 and newer, itll start cutting into the metal backed guide but will make a lot less work to catch it early on and fix it!

    • @FlakeGarage
      @FlakeGarage  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Shouldn't be too hard once you get the cluster out. Only things to watch out will be for glue alone the edge and bolts. We haven't swapped ours so can't tell 100% what you need

      @@FlakeGarage hello. That would explain the problem I had replacing the bulbs for LEDs some years ago on my D21. The LEDs I got went hot and melted the blue transparent plastic covers of the bulbs (I was trying to keep the original bluish look of the very dim bulbs). I went back to bulbs and I've been looking where to get those transparent blue covers ever since. Thanks for the excellent tip. Any idea where to buy those covers? And may I add also, been looking forever for the A/C switch which has 2 lights, a blue one on the switch that must be pushed, and another behind the A/C logo to light it up. I'd appreciate any help on where to find these parts. Great looking dash!!!
