OMG the 80's was my favorite decade........Yup Halloween was brutal so many of us would make our own costumes because the plastic ones were going outta style.

We used pillow cases as our bags. Always filled at least 2 up.

You would hope for a cool evening here in the South with those plastic costumes. Now the costumes just hang on a hanger at Walmart and Target. Sadly no longer in a cool box.. I grew up in the late 70's and had a blow mold "skull" candy bucket. Wish they would bring the skull ones back.We had a vinyl "Halloween sounds" album and would hide a record player on the front porch. Good times!

I was born in 1980 so this brings up a lot of memories. After a few years of the plastic mask and vinyl suits i switched to makeup and costumes i pieced together with actual clothes 😂.

You FORGOT the most important costume of all THE KOOKY SPOOKS! They were the inflatable beach ball Muppet head like hats that included a poncho cape and cheapie makeup that if you got the Bat or Skull kits came un PC blackface.

the only thing i hated about Halloween. me & my brother go bust are ass go get the candy & when we got home my dad took all the Relly good candy & left us with the junk candy that nobody wanted. not even the dog would touch the junk candy. i hated my dad for that growing up.
