#Divinity #Source #Astarte - Hry
What I really hope for is that D:OS3 (should it ever exist) will finally make clear what is canon and what is not.
A more consistent world would really be great, Rivellon currently is not really something one could coherently put into a fan wiki, unlike many other franchises.
This is probably the best youtube channel for gamers and the most underrated.
Awesome was trying to see how Source connected in the different games but was having trouble getting it now I much watch about the different Gods other than the 7.
I mean let's be honest they sorta messed up with their lore when creating the original sin franchise. It's just too wacky and inconsistent. The real question is whether they meant to make it like this or if they honestly just forgot about their other games lol
Original Sin 1 is kind of an oddball. Most of the lore takes place at some point in time. But Astarte's garden of eden story is quite different in that it happened outside of space time. It feels less high fantasy and more of a mix of sci fi time transcending beings.
Probably won't be seeing another Divinity game for a while now, not until they wrap up work on Baldur's Gate 3.
Oh it'll be 5+ years I imagine. Cause Baldurs Gate 3, then resuming Fallen Heroes probably and then maybe a Divinity 3 and that's be the earliest
I know there isnt much but I've always been curious about the Voud Dragon WTF is he!
what is your favorite crpg?
Astarte is the only true god.
There's at least two others that don't have anything to do with the seven as well
I remember reading somewhere that she's more or less the embodiment of source. Same for the Void Dragon it's the embodiment of the Void. Which gives them god-like powers, but doesn't necessarily make them gods per se. I mean I wouldn't even call the 7 actual gods they were just more or less borrowing god like powers from source as well. Dragons on the other hand.... Woof
I click like and then hit the go back on my browser on these Divinity games. Mortismal needs to play Witcher 3 (mod it with most of these czcams.com/video/KqBkEv5PgbU/video.html) and then make some videos for it. I'm currently on my 3rd play through, first one since 2016, and I'm using most of these mods. Game is beautiful and has such a depth of content.
My god I forgot how bad the story of DoS1 was. That game suffered a ton from overwriting and underexplaining. Low consistency, high wordcount, little of merit. If it wasn't for the excellent combat system, I doubt Divinity would have survived as a franchise. I think it's fairly funny that Divinity Original Sin 2 isn't a better game in terms of gameplay, but a better game in terms of its writing. It's ultimately why Larian landed BG3, because they managed to finally break through with the right combination of gameplay and storytelling. Hats off - I never thought Larian could meaningfully help revitalize CRPG's in the popular conscience, but here we are.
