Thanks for watching!
Well, I would always go with the 50 room, since when visiting the Lake District it is all about being in the outdoors. Why pay for a castle then? I need a shower, a cup of tea and a bed of course.
as someone from the lake district, we don't even own houses. we just chill with all the sheep
@@beachbelle_as someone who spends a lot of time there and has many friends there, I can confirm this is true
Haha😂 you guys! ....
@@beachbelle_ why have a bed when you can just cuddle with a fluffy herdwick? It’s much more warm to! 🤣
@@saturnthemirrorball you know what's funny is there is a local brand called herdy (named after the herdwick sheep) that sells beds, and ik people who bought them
When I’m in the lakes with my Bro we hostel or B&B. Up at 6, fart, blame each other for the smell in the room, argue who’s showering first, argue who’s making the tea, leave earlier than planned. We then hike 8-20 miles, hit some peaks, circular walks and hills, find a few cosy pubs, 6 pints max cut off, 20oz Lamb Henry and in bed by 8pm shattered. We repeat this process 4 times before we head home.
That’s our annual brotherly trip.
He spent 15 years in the army, 6 in Germany, 4 tours in Afghan, Iraq and Kosovo. I spent 10 years overseas in Oz, NZ and Canada.
This is our special place for hanging out.
Don’t worry about the hotel, worry about the adventure.
Sleep better tonight knowing that mate
I have lived in the Lake District for eight years, nowhere is more beautiful, I’ve travelled all over the world and never seen a lovelier landscape ❤
Scotland, Ireland, Wales, all much nicer, Dont think you have travelled that much.
@@JimJones-ch1sr I have travelled more than you could imagine, and it’s my opinion, we are allowed to differ, no need to be narky about it Jim 😊
@gina9523 You clearly haven't travelled enough to be fair. Go to Scotland, and u will see a much" lovelier" land. And nicer people.
@@JimJones-ch1sr give over 😊
@@JimJones-ch1srThis video didnt help tbh. The amazing view was basically a pond, I've got a better view out my bedroom window.
I love how someone on CZcams has taken a notice of how beautiful the lake District is. Proud to call it my home of 2 years 😊
As a Cumbrian, here are my tips. If you are in the North Lakes. Get a hotel in Carlsile. And if you are in the South Lakes, head to Barrow or Kendal for a hotel. Kendal is more expensive but Barrow has more crime and has nuclear siren tests every months.
Holy shit someone mentioning the lake district on youtube, thanks man
That’s what I’m saying
Ikr 😂
Yeah well bung me 30 quid ya can sleep int coal bunka all neet nice n warm.
£500 is crazy
ong
It's relative to the locations.
Storrs Hall is one of the most recognisable buildings in the lakes.
Also. For premium hotels/spas you're kinda looking at 300+ a night.
I go to the lake district every year at the langdale Lodge. You have to go. Love you guys😊❤
Sane
I haven’t heard of this place before as I’m not very familiar with the uk but it would be my dream to just take my bike and go around the lakr, I think it would be awesome
Best place in the world 👍🏻 cheap and cheerful is best , nice hotels are ok for abroad, but not for The Lakes, rather be out hiking 👍🏻 get a tent up a hill , oh yes !!!
I’ve lived in the lake district since I was a baby, I’m so lucky 🍀 ❤❤❤
The lakes is one of the most beautiful places on the earth
Agreed
My dad got remarried in Storrs Hall and we stayed the night before. Lovely place would recommend
I remember going to the Lake District and getting this really sad cottage thingy which cost £300 and it only had 1 bed 💀
I'll take the 49er
I'm currently in the Lake District and staying at Arnside
Where did you stay?
Morecambe's got better nightlife. 😊
You should try the Angel Inn in bowness, I stayed there a few weeks back, and I've not a bad word to say about it. They're part of the Inn Collection group. they're also dog friendly if you have one
I've always enjoyed your videos .the young woman is lovely.what a couple.
Me staring out my room trying to find them 😂😂😂
love the lake district
Second home. Can stay as long as I want as I own it outright.
£500 is still more then my months mortgage 😂
W Lake District
The fun part is. I’m a delivery driver in bowness. I’ve actually delivered food to both of those places. Those cheap self checkin hotels are all over the place and super popular.
Definitely McClures.
@@SnookerMafia-or6nu domino's actually 🤣
Love the manc accent
what's the view like in that 49 quid gaf, mate
Britain I'm subbing
I live in Windermere! Right next to the lake
£500 for a run down building with the decor of my great grans 😂
Try another place the lake on ullswater - it’s the best
Try the bay tree near ulswater😊
Have you guys ever been to the pop art pods in the Lake District I’m currently staying there and they are amazing
Please guys,go to Budapest! ❤
Unless I’m bed ridden, I would not stay anywhere that costs £500/ night as we will be outside for a majority of the time enjoying the beauty of the lakes. The £50/night is perfect for our needs.
Im from kendal why am i watchin this
I've been to there
my parents live just outside cartmel in an old far house. Free accommodation and steak dinners every Saturday. Winning! The mountain biking is pretty mint in the lakes as well. Better in Scotland though
You are a lucky lad!
I thought you meant for me too
@@user-pw4rx3xs4g because it’s you £500 a night.
I'm so spoilt, I live in lake District and knew exactly where they are in all the shots except the self check in place
Jeez, that breakfast.... I make that most days at home and if I made it for her, her bill would be about £7.50! (Including free tea/coffee/juice refills)
Could you post a link for that £50 hotel?
Maybe in British English the word Model doesn't exist?
You should go to the L’adore hotel it’s beautiful
I am there rn
That's crazy I live in the lake District
I can see the lake district from my home town! Its right across the sea 🥰😂
Omg. Didn’t they use that in little Britain for the Bubbles skit? Brilliant. lol.
Try Killarney Co.Kerry
So you can have 10 trips for the price of 1 if you dont mind skipping breakfast and walking out to the lakes. No brainer.
I sail past there
Whats the location and name of the hotel
I live next to lake Windermere
It’s more about the experience than the hotel
Whether it's £50 or £500, the weather is the same..... Grey, cloudy, wet and windy 😂
That 500 pound one isn’t in Lake District ! It’s in a place called rassay it’s north of Isle of Skye in Scotland I stayed their once . It’s also £100 a night 😂 #getexposed
I just googled it, the outside decor is completely different
Me laughing that I only live 25 minutes away 😂😂😂
The real shock here is you can find a room there for £49 😂
When the ice cream in Cornwall?
Not to flex but i have been to storrs hall and i can say that it is worth it
What's the name of the 50 one? Sounds like a bargain!
can you guys go to keswick or go to northumberland then go to rock or rennington in alnwick or come and stay in loughborough leicstershire and go around
Come to Newcastle 🏴🏳️🏴🏳️
If you end up spending enough time in your room for ot to make a difference then you're not having a good holiday
And the 49£er is probably 15 mile from anything. Not that that’s necessarily a bad thing.
Have you guys been to the Peak District? I’ve been thinking about visiting it. Like to know what you think.
We have never been! On the list though
TAKE ME TO THE LAKES WHERE ALL THE POETS WENT TO DIE
Used to go to school here, best schooling years, felt like I attended hogwarts😅. I really miss there
Wouldn't go on any water mind as it's full of sewer water 💯
me watching this after spending 80 for a tiny room in london with bed bugs 😢
My home
You live in storrs hall?
@@LiveTheDash yes
I stayed in a dolly wagon for £55 per night and it was pants, nothing worked
No way I have been to both of those hotels!!!
Which did you prefer?
@@LiveTheDashthe £50 one is more cosy and in a more built up place but the £500 one has yummy food
Very fair assessment (:
Wow! That £49 would be my choice. And you all are pretty lucky. I know it isn’t proper conversion of dollars but a $49 hotel in the states would (it would be a motel) be filthy, likely infested with bed bugs, and your neighbors would likely be prostitutes and drug addicts.😅 The least I’ve spent on a hotel is like $150/night to be sure it’s safe and clean.
Lol… I’ve stayed in the cheaper one and had lunch at the other.
Windermere is not a lake: it’s a mere
Definitely have the £50 room
Got married at stores hall stayed in boat house that was 800 a night on its own
America be charging 200 a night for the hotel that cost 50 pounds
Bypass the lakes and visit west coast of scotland or yorkshire moores way better places
False
@@DerekDerekDerekDerekDerekDerek imo it's true
I chose a text, then spend some money in the local pub.
beautiful?
£50 a night room looked better, I am not a fan of old, outdated hotels they never seem to be comfortable.
£50 a night is upper tier for me.....like I’d brag about being a snob paying that much.......500 a night is status tomfoolery and a classist price point.....feck that kind of snobbery !!!
I live a 20 minute away from there, my rent is 350 a month, and I can nip out as often as I like to view the lakes....properly over priced for the city dwellers to pay.
You didn’t stay in the £500 a night otherwise you would have shown the room. Yous had breakfast you two wallys
🏞💙

This place looks so miserable
In the summer or even in the snow, it's beautiful.
Nah. You're just miserable.
Your a donut if you pay 500 for that😂
Windermere isn't a lake it's a mere it's in the name there is only one lake in the lake district
A mere is just a shallow lake.. 😂
You didn't even show us the 500 doller room because you didnt stay in it ?why bother making the video if you jave to lie
Facking hell its so gloomy.
😂 welcome to Cumbria lad
@@somtimesieat2411what i was about to reply with lol
