  • Welcome to the Lake District! In this video, I'll be showing you our 7-day journey through the Lake District National Park with our 20 Best Things to Do!
We begin with a gorgeous sunset over beautiful Windermere from Brant Fell Viewpoint, we head to hidden gems in the lake district such as the mysterious Rydal Cave, the awe-inspiring Castlerigg Stone Circle, and the the panoramic views of Tarn Hows. We then step back in time at Hardknott Roman Fort (and conquer England's steepest road or Hardknott Pass to get there), before ascending Scafell Pike and Helvellyn's Striding Edge. After this it's a much needed time to unwind by the tranquil shores of Wast Water, England's deepest lake, wander around the quaint Ambleside's Bridge House, explore the historic Wray Castle, holiday home of Beatrix Potter, and enjoy the tranquil Buttermere. We finish off by experiencing the awe-inspiring Surprise View, head into Ullswater, to see the power of nature at Aira Force, before finally delving into Keswick and connecting with ancient history at Castlerigg Stone Circle.
