No Mana picked up the thread of what Deadmau5 was making at his height, the thread that he dropped when he got bored of "EDM" and wanted to make less generic stuff. No Mana's sound sounds very much like what I imagine Deadmau5 would have sounded like had he continued to follow this thread from 4x4=12, and evolved, improved, and refined the sound to this day.
Not saying mau5 fucked up or dropped the ball or anything, he did what he wanted to do, and I do appreciate his later stuff for sure, but I am glad that someone picked up the thread, because as much as I love his newer more arthouse/less danceable stuff, I do miss his trademark bangers and how they used to make me feel when I was first getting into him.
No Mana has given me that feeling again, Thanks No Mana!

the chord progressions on these build ups takes me to a really good place. Same vibe as Trent Reznor - composer of "Social network" soundtrack. Its funny that I loved "classical" minimalist style from people like Eric Satie since I was 7, and get that same feeling from artist like no mana. Deep house is plagued with these kind of progressions which is why I love it. For me, deep house and avant grade pianist like Eric Satie strike the same chord in my heart. But when the kick and wide grungey bass relentlessly fill your perception of sound, its time to take action. to be more than mere potential. What "its time for" is different for everyone. And, when I first heard Deamdau5 - 7, I knew I struck gold. Listen to it every day. These songs put me in a deep state of reflection like a 360 birds eye view of my life on a movie reel. Its like a motivational force, and I realize what needs to be done in a given situation. To persist, and not procrastinate, or let go and realize my own finite existence and follow what the heart that involuntarily beats tells me to do. I suppose this is me trying to describe how this music makes me feel. This is the experience this song gives me. What is yours?
i think trent reznor being the frontman of NINE INCH NAILS is a more approtiate way of explaining who he is rather then that low key mivie soundtrack. it was good but not a banger
