When I used to sell commercial power equipment the Dan Foss was regarded as the best wheel motors and pumps that you could buy they were a high-end , pretty much , never really had much problem with the Hydro gear ones though only had probably one blowup in all the years of 30 years of working on them, I think that had something to do with operators abusing it, so to speak, anything can break at any time though that’s for sure , Take care Wade and be safe out there !! Good job ,Do you know weighed less than I learned which I know you have learned also doing all that wrench turning, Sometimes when you put something together wrong and then you put it together right is a real good lesson , because you won’t do it wrong again ! 🙂🙂
ha! the wife and I was on the struggle bus just this week, we bought our grand daughter one of them little electric gators,, we spent 3 evenings figuring out how to put it together-ha! boy talk about scratching ur head trying to follow the directions. my hats off to ya for fixing it then. thanks for the video
Where I work, there is a specific qualification for using a torque wrench. All the fasteners are torqued, in a star pattern, in 1/4 of final torque increments. So you will make 4 passes, then a final pass to ensure nothing has loosened from the 4th pass.
When you took it apart did you not mark the position of everything and take plenty of pictures you did a great job figuring it out it’s amazing how hard stuff is that should be simple I have run into stuff like that all the time
Tator needs shower , good feed and power nap and most important of all a BONUS and a big ole Atta boy not just for that nightmare project but all projects he gets done . Keep Rollin ol tator Scotty boy from Kansas City
I’m not a real technical dude either so I only get it when you talk about Doohickey or whatchamacall it or even The Who’s a what’s it and I’ve been to blah blah blah foot pounds before 😂👍👍. On a real note though I think my chippers feed roller motor is bypassing got a high squeal and won’t pull material in anymore! This is a great video for me to see the inside of those things
Great videos, I have days like that too, that’s the trouble with being so smart that you work on every thing your self to save money, keeps your brain working. Great job
Whatever Roger whatever, lmaoooo that’s the best part of the whole video Wade, when you tell Roger that but anyway brother another great video so you and mommy and the tator nation y’all stay safe and keep the videos coming
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and adventures. Always appreciate your ability to deal with whatever comes across your path. It takes a great deal of wisdom and patients to backup when things aren’t working and puzzle them threw. Great job. I always try to remind myself, hey somebody built it, not like it’s witchcraft, your also a someone so its within your ability as long as you don’t destroy things and keep the option of success on the table. Wishing you and your family the best.
Wade, what happens in the 50% chance of putting it together wrong? If i understand correctly, it just rotates the other way so take it apart, move it a notch and should then rotate right direction? Also, should the rotor move freely within the pins or be tight? Looks like you are able to rotate it with your fingers. In my OMTS400 motors is tight as a hatful of witches.
I followed most of that but the tightness on the rollers I'm not shore now you got me wondering.. it's been running fine every since so I think it's ok
Uncle Tony says next time use an engraving pen ( buzzy pen). As you get used to using it , it will make you more time effective, ( no bo-bo’s) he said Great VIDJA’s 🏴☠️🎥❤️👍🏻💯% !

The engineering that goes into that little motor is unbelievable
Nordlock washers are the double lock washers you spoke off. They are awesome
Those washers are awesome! The brand is Nord Lock. Got the factory 20 miles away from my home... 👍

Exactly thats the best way I burn something into my memory is when I emotionally struggle a bit
Thank you Wade for making a video on how to time that motor I can finally get our fella buncher back up and running thank you very much
Definitely no “picking on poor logger wade”. This was an educational and entertaining video, enjoyed it 👌🏻
Haha heck I am just a victim

Yup I don't know if its smart but there's gotta be some sorta name for it
Oh yeah cheep
You can check the rotation without hosing it up just pour some oil in the ports and turn the shift and see what port blows the oil out
Intresting
I use fluid film on everything it's water proof and rust proof good stuff you should try it wade.
Great video Wade y'all have a great weekend and stay safe 👍

Haha I actually did both they was both oozing
Well Waide you did a better job with bearings in your head then I could have done with a brain in mind. Good job

Amen buddy
Amazing bit of engineering those hydraulic motors, clever people design them for sure. Has anyone actually figured out how an ORBITAL valve works?
Best I can tell the valve cage is connected to the shaft and as it spins it let's oil in and out according to the demensions of the holes in the cage
@@LoggerWade thanks, I got that far but again a smart device
You think you hurt now. Wait till about 54
I do alot more cursing when I work on my logging equipment
Swap the lines?
Hey! Lol I thought of that first 10 seconds!
