if anyones wondering why it feels so heavy even after dropping bombs, the elevators of this plane is coded to be literally almost only half as effective as F4U-4B (a Corsair that is also 5.7)
It also has a shit load of extra armor on the belly compared to the F4U, so it is heavier
It is a heavier plane in general compared to the other Corsair's because it has more armor protecting the cockpit, fuel tanks, and more drag from the additional mounting points.

@@tankfire20 Except it does make a difference. When you add weight to a plane and more surfaces to add drag, you get a less agile plane. That's just how things work. It also doesn't help that, at it's core, the AU-1 is just an up-armoured version of a fighter bomber. (The F4U) A plane that isn't very agile to begin with.
Also, it's not as much oomph on the engine, which is 2300 HP vs. the usual Corsair 2500 HP. It's really built to be ripping apart ground targets, though it's still got enough classic Corsair in it to at least stick it's face in the front arc of other more dog-fightish opponents and bite something off with the guns. Just don't try fancy acrobatics. It isn't up for that anymore with all the weight and drag added for CAS work.

These are fighter-bombers that's literally what they did when they needed Farmers but did not have their massive standardized bombers they use the fighter-bombers strapped as many ordinance as I could under them and then went over the area carpet bombed

Well part of CAS is also fighting other planes. Especialy on the US side becaude US AA sucks(Except for the M163 and M247 but you dont get those untill 8.0).
So pritty much the only thing on the US side that can defeat axis CAS are US fighters or AA from a nother nation that happens to play on the US side.

AU-1= USMC version of '50s era version of the A-10 Warthog. My grandpa talked about these planes a lot. It's a Corsair on steroids with a bunch of added armor and hardpoints that could single handedly level a village in Korea/Vietnam.

This is the little brother to the a2d1 premium. It can carry 2 2000pd and 8 500pd bombs as well as 4 20mm cannons. It’s probably the best premium US aircraft you can buy because of its armament.
Edit: it’s also ridiculously good at dogfighting sometimes when it doesn’t have bombs.

Dunno if it wasn't there but it is now; you CAN select what bombs to drop. Set a key to the secondary select, use it to get to whatever bomb you want to drop, then hit a diff key to turn the selector off so you can go back to using guns and whatnot. It's dumb that you need 2 keys but whatever. I have mine set to mouse 4 and 5.
You should take out the Type 75 SPH with a few of your phriends, and use it from the backline like artillery with someone spotting for you.

You should also play out the Russian T-126. It's an absolute monster! I went 19-0 holding down a single A point in a game yesterday! You have to take it out!

I didn't know you like Trailer park boys. Its one of my favorite shows of all time. I was very sad to hear that John Dunsworth had passed. He was a brilliant actor he made me laugh so much as Mr Lahey.

I just found out about the AU-1 the other day. MY god man, that thing can carry 7k lbs of bombs. It is the only plane I've found that noticeably flies different in arcade with and without a full load. It has the same max bombload as the first two B-17s and is only 1k less than the others and the B-24. Only bombers like the B-29, Tu-4, Me 264, He 177, etc, aka super heavy bombers, have a significantly higher bombload.

Also look at the mistral and otomatic br ratings and tell us if u catch it
