  • Here is my first ever mod video. It was very awkward to say the least to record this. I have had questions in the past showing my mods so it has took a while for me to be confident enough to showcase how to do a relatively simple dial mod. If you're a beginner modder then be sure to check out my 'modding for dummies' video where I go through some tips & tricks, tools needed and some mistakes I have made while modding.
    I know the mod video looks reasonably clean, but this was a 45 min mod process trimmed down to 15 mins ! lol

      I have modded a steeldive mm300. They are risky. They don't use the stem connector like proxima so you have a chance of breaking a stem. I broke a stem on 1 and 1 was done successfully.

    • @TheWatcherReviews
      @TheWatcherReviews  Před 4 lety +1

    • @3rdstone1
      @3rdstone1 Před 4 lety +1

      @@TheWatcherReviews Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I learned that you can start out with quite cheap tool kits and build from there. I had a cheap tool for changing straps which came with a small kit. That was the weakest link in the kit, and the Bergeon tool I got later made everything much easier. But the rest was mostly fine. And yeah, I've seen some really fine and cheap hands available on Ebay.

    By doing this mod would it mess up the water proof of the watch

    • @TheWatcherReviews
      @TheWatcherReviews  Před 4 lety +1

      Not really, because you're just unscrewing and re-closing it. As long as the gaskets are unharmed then it will be fine, not like its pressurised or anything. If you took off the crystal and it was your first time modding I would be more careful of that. However, if you would rather be just extra precautious then a water test is advised, bearing in mind that's if the watch was the claimed water resistance in the first place
