  • I have had a few questions about the Badboy 4025. Here is a review after 80+ hours. I am new to tractors so if I left anything out you want to know, ask away! Overall the 4025 does what they say and is a "small" tractor on a larger frame and definitely performs that way.

    Great video I was nervous buying a brand that didn’t actually make their own brand. But I just purchased the 4025 the other day for our home on 10 acres and also bush hogging on other property’s we own and deer hunt. I also got the pallet forks. I came from a jd750 2wd with no bucket so i will have a huge advantage now.

    I own the same tractor and it’s working out great. I went with the grappler and it’s my favorite attachment. Already had a widow maker fall and hit my hood denting it. I now wear a hard hat when clearing out my underbrush.

      Grapple would be a great addition as well. Yikes. No dents here yet. The grill guard, bar across the top saved ours from its 1st dent!

    Glad someone finally posted a bad boy tractor review. I’m also looking into the 4025 for my 10 acres. I could get by with the 20 or 30 series but the hydraulic power on the 40 series would come in handy for me. I don’t think I need more than the 24hp this provides, but I have pondered the 4035.

      @warnerfamilyfarm1136  Před 2 lety +2

      When we bought the 90 next door I looked at the 4035 as well but the specs are almost identical. Lift capacity is the same. Maybe a bit more hp for your PTO but we used this to knock down 65 acres of rag week and some buffalo grass. Only difference is that they will enclose to 4035. They won't enclose the 4045 either! So I will stay put for the next year because we would have to go to another manufacturer and Im really liking this bad boy.

      @@warnerfamilyfarm1136 main reason I am considering the 4035 over the 4025 is bc my 10 acres is mostly wooded and I have a lot of clearing to do. I figured the extra HP could come in handy for pushing over/pulling logs.

      @@CoffeeNo0b0514 ahh! Makes sense. We just had 3 acres cleared for our home sight by a guy with a dozer and excavator. Depending on the tree size im not sure the 35 or even the 45 will do it. We do have some decent size oaks and pecans in central OK so we didnt try. Well worth paying someone else for that one! If you do it would love to know how it does.

      @@warnerfamilyfarm1136 I’m also in Central Oklahoma. We have huge oaks as well, some hickory’s, etc. we hired a dozer and mulcher to clear a couple acres for the house, shop, and some trails. But I’d like to slowly do some of my own clearing over time. Especially some of these medium sized trees. Which dealer did you buy from and how much did you pay in total?

    Great review, very useful information. I just moved to southern Missouri and bought a small 40 acre homestead, looking at the Bad Boy 4025 for working it. Did you end up liking and keeping the backhoe? I was kind of hoping the backhoe would turn out to be useful for small excavation jobs, just not sure if the small engine size would be inadequate to properly run it.

    • @warnerfamilyfarm1136
      @warnerfamilyfarm1136  Před rokem +1

      Sorry about the slow response. Yes I did keep the back hoe and it has been more useful then I originally thought. Plenty of power for a 40 acre ranch. We where originally on 60 and now up to 150 and it is plenty for most work. We may go bigger in the next few years. But it is a great Tractor.

    I have a Branson 2515h. What size is your bush hog? Also what range are you running in when hogging? I have a 4 ft I try and run in midrange and it bogs down. Just curious what others are running. Nice tractor!

    Didn’t realize Bad Boy offered tractors. Regarding the backhoe, if this is a must have feature would you have bought a different brand that offers quick connect? I have a Kubota B2650 with a BH77 backhoe ( very happy with it). Takes about 5 minutes to attach / detach the backhoe. Just curious. I’m reading about Bad Boys now to see what they offer.

      Great question. I think I would still go without. Even though that is my biggest complaint. After having it for a time it has its uses but never truly a needed that min tool like a brush hog or pallet jacks. I would wait and have 5 or 6 needs for a back hoe and rent a mini x for a couple days to get those jobs done.

      @@warnerfamilyfarm1136 First thing I did when I received my backhoe was dig a 3' wide by 30' trench in the rear of my 1 acre yard - essentially until I was bored ... I then filled it in because I had a loader and that is what loaders do. Yes, I'm one of those who doesn't need a tractor but wanted a tractor. My dealer said people like me are 1/2 his business :) Call my B2650 my orange wheelbarrow as it can do so much saving me aches, pains and time. Thanks for sharing the video. Just checked out the Bad Boy tractors which led me to reading about Branson as well. Always good to know the market. Take care.
