What I would love to see in this is GWater actually taking player's fall and reducing the damage taken partially or maybe even completely in some way + support for vehicles like Half-Life 2's driveable boat thing. Now THAT would be amazing!

At this point having played GMOD for so long and being older, if I like a project in constant development I’m becoming okay with “paid mods” if they get ongoing support.

Just so you know, there's host_timescale cheats to slow the game down, and thus all physics in game. So you can have a high FPS by slowing down the game and speeding up the recording. Example: host_timescale 0.05, speed up by 20x on the video editor
