But saying scott storch made the beat is false. the most recognizable part of the beat is of course the piano riff which was played by scott storch so one could say he made the beat, but the rest was produced by dre and also mel man.
Dre picked the instruments though, did the drums, probably arranged structure and did the hook and turned it from a riff to a song which Jay-Z wrote the verses for. Scott definitely did the magic for the song though that made it a hit so props to him
